11 weeks is how many months

I am being completely honest my friend is 14 years old and is 11 weeks pregnant. Does anyone know how many months that is? ↓

AussieKat 12wks is NOT 3mths, 1mth doesn't equal 4wks otherwise considering pregnancy lasts 40wks you would be pregnant for 10mths. Meagan you/your friend is 2.5mths & will be 3mths at about 13wks. I do agree with AussieKat however that you/she needs to tell your/her parents right away. ↑

The average is 4.3 weeks per month. She needs to get her prenatal vitamins asap, the first trimester is the most critical in the baby's development.  ↑

i am not pregnant.
It really is my friend.
Her name is Kayla and her and her boyfriend tyler have told their parents.
I am just concerned about her b/c she is only 14 and is scared. ↑

E586467 i am 12 weeks 3 days and i class my self as 3months, i mean i,ve missed 3 periods and considering i used to get one once a month i class myself as 3months ↑

angelmonkey look at a calendar. Except for Feb every other month has at least 30days in it. 28days (4wks) does not equal 1mth otherwise like I said before, if it did pregnancy would last for 10mths NOT 9mths. & as for your period comment how does that count? Some women have very short cycles, so if they had missed 4 periods instead of your 3, does that make them 4mths pregnant? ↑

My pregnancy book calculates 1 month for every four weeks. Maybe that's why everyone just goes by weeks :) ↑

Almost all books go by 4wk= 1 month and that a woman is pregnant 10 months. but no one counts that way. Why? no know knows. lol  ↑

Lillybug...I presume because they go from your LMP....from the first day of your last period to the day you expect it should equal 4 weeks or 1 month...so techniqually 40 weeks does equal 10 months of pregnancy according to your LMP.  ↑

that is what i thought lol! you are pregnant for 10months! jeesh! i supose people count in different ways! its also been 3months exactly since the last time i had a period! like my last period was may 4th or something so thats exactly 3months! why is it so hard for some people to figure out! ↑

I can see where you are all coming from regarding pregnancy being 10mths going from you LMP, but if you all are counting 4wks as 1mth how many months are in your year 13?. This is my 3rd pregnancy & NONE of the midwives or doctors have ever counted 4wks as 1mth, yes they count in weeks but they all go by calendar dates just like you do for birthdays etc. If you are counting moon cycles on the other hand, that make more sense it being every 4wks. So yes angelmonkey you are 3 moon cycles congrats. ↑

i see your point but i am 3months even if i dont count in weeks im 3months i 13weeks nearly so maybe thats why but when people ask how many months i am i still say 3 ↑
