28 weeks and mild cramping

Hi ladies, I am 28 1/2 weeks and have recently started getting mild cramps when I am very upset. I have suffered a lot of stress and saddness throughout my entire pregnancy but the cramps have only just started. They don't happen for long and aren't frequent but i'm worried. Are they just braxton hicks or should i be worried about my bub coming early?

hey, I am about the same weeks and also have occasional cramps, they didn't last very long, seconds to less than a minute. I am not worried, I guess they are braxton and I keep my normal activities. If you really worried, you should talk to your OB. Take it easy!

oh no. Don't worry about that. That is sooo normal and I had it at 24 to 28 weeks off an on sometimes all day. It's dehydration. I went to the hospital even when it first started b/c this is my first pregnancy, and they couldn't even get one contraction on their monitor. It's just your ligaments stretching, or you may have very very mild contractions b/c of dehydration. I just started drinking more water and get them every now and then still at 32 weeks. I thought pre mature labor too and was relieved to find out it's also a common symptom of pregnancy, not just a sign of labor.

Dehydration can cause an increase in uterine irritability. You should be checked by your doctor anytime that you notice something unusual. Could be nothing but if there are changes in the cervix then it is better to catch it early.
