4 days of + hpt's but - test and pelvic exam at DR.?

I have been getting positive hpt's for 4 days now. The are faint, but definitely there. (I have used 3 different tests to make sure =) ) I went to the doctor yesturday and his test came back negative and so did the pelvic exam. He did order a blood test, but recommended I wait a few days to get that done. I have been ttc for 1yr now and I'm trying not to get my hopes up. I don't really have any symptoms of a pregnancy other than no period, REALLY tender and full breasts, and a "different" feeling in my belly (baby maybe?). Has anyone ever had this happen before? I just feel so desperate for answers, but sooo impatient. It's so hard to wait!!! ↓

How many days are you late for your period? I don't understand why they wouldn't do a blood test right away! Can you see another doctor? If you are really early it is hard to determine by pelvic exam ...my doc said you will get diffrent measurements by different docs all the time it just depends on how they grade it, the same is true with a women dialating to give birth you can have 5 diffrent nurses/docs check you and get 3 diffrent answers...I would not use that as a deciding factor. I would consider your self pg untill a blood test or u/s says otherwise....I would try to psh for a blood test right away..at least then you will know whats up rather it be your numbers show a viable pregnancy or chemical pg-early m/c at least you will know what is up. You obviously have hcg in your body for 4 tests to show positive!!! Good Luck!! keep me posted ↑

Thanks for responding =) I'm new on here so I wasn't sure if anyone would. I am only 15dpo so it is still very early. My doctor said that I could go anytime, but advised that I wait a few more days. Hopefully by Friday my hormone levels will be high enough to detect. I'll keep ya posted =) ↑

I am going for a blood test on friday as well ...but at 7dpo cause my doc says that with blood it can be detected . Some women can get BFP on home tests as early as 10 dpo and if your tests at home are already picking up then you blood test should Defintly show!!! If you are only 15 dpo and have positive home test ...I think you are pg!!! you can read all thru here were doc office tests that are "suppose " to be more sensitive shows negative while home tests were already showing and yep pg!!!! I defently would not consider pelvic exam at 15 dpo. I am going to say I fully beleave you are pg!!!!!! Please keep me posted!!! ↑

Ok so just in case anyone googles this same issue here is what happened. I got my test results back and I am going to have a baby! I am so excited and can't really believe it is real =)
hilary: awesome congrats! but just so you know, you won't be feeling the baby at all right now. if you feel something in your tummy, it's probably gas and bloating. (get used to it, it will be your "best" friend for the months to come lol). lots of water and cheerios will help with the bloating. keeps ya regular! anyway, again congrats! ↑

Congrats Hilary!!! I'm kind of in the same situation. I took 2 tests mid day on Thursday and got 2 positives. Went to a clinic today and got a negative. When I got home from work, I did another test myself because I don't believe the one this morning and it was positive. So I'm really confused about this. I called my doctor and she ordered lab work tomorrow...so I hope I get answers. The waiting is the worst. ↑
