So, here I am at 10 pm listening to my poor baby crying because of all the damn fireworks that keep exploding every cpl of minutes!! Agggg! Don't get me wrong...I love the 4th of July, but now that I have a baby in the house...it takes on a whole new meaning of terror.....a sleepless night!! Anyone else experiencing this? Ok, that's all, I just needed to vent....lol As my mother would say..."and this too shall pass" . Happy 4th ladies! Hope you all have sleeping babies tonight :-) ↓

It's pretty loud here too but luckly my baby is sleeping through it, but i did have a hard time getting her down. No one next to us is shooting any off so that is good. But it is almost 11pm here, i wish everyone would give it a rest. ↑

It's 2am here. Sleep is not happening :( I called my neighbors to ask them to pack it up (they light those big fireworks that you need a license for every year so they are VERY loud), but they seemed to think I was rude for asking. On top of all that I happen to have the world's lightest sleeping newborn...Bleh. Well happy fourth. I guess technically it's the fifth :) ↑

Well, I hope tonight will be a quieter night....lol We had fireworks in our neigborhood going off until around 2 am!! And they were the BIG ones....with the really loud BOOMS. I finally got so tired of having to go up and down the stairs to try and calm him that I just brought him down on the couch with me until it all finally quieted down! Amanda-I hope you and your lo get some good sleep tonight after your long night! ↑

It may sound weird, but a lot of the time babies are soothed by the sound of the vacuum. If you get desperate, get it out and just leave it on. It worked great for us with our first. I am 37 weeks 2 days pregnant with our second now and I will give it a try again if need be. ↑

Actually, no it doesn't sound weird. When ds was younger....btwn the age of 4-8 months we used to use the vacuum to settle him all the time for naps, but unfortunately that stopped working around 9 months old. Luckily, it was much quieter tonight (only a few pops of firecrackers) so he has been sleeping like a rock tonight! Congratz on your pregnancy...you are soooooo close!! :-) ↑
