This is my first time ever getting pregnant and I am 5 weeks. this morning I noticed a brown discharge and whem wiping myself I noticed a pinkish color. I went to the doctors and the checked my blood level, however I won't know anuthing until Monday. Have this happened to anyone and if so what was the cause? ↓
Hi godbaby. It happened to me. I'm 20 weeks now and I spotted brown from about 6 weeks to 8 or 9 weeks. Back then I knew the statistics well, now I can't remember so well. A lot of women spot during the first trimester (something like 20-30%). Sometimes it means something, other times it does not. A really common cause of spotting is sex. If you had any in the last few days, that could be it. It could be old blood from implantation bleeding. It could be a problem. They guessed mine was from my fibroid. Did they tell you when to go back for help? I'll try to remember what they told me... if you are in pain, you start getting as much blood as a period, a fever, shoulder pain... I can't remember the rest. But if you get any of those, you need to call your doctor or go to the ER right away. Did they check to make sure your cervix is closed? An ultrasound at this stage would just show if it was an ectopic pregnancy, but baby wouldn't really show yet. There is nothing you can do to change the outcome, so try not to worry (I couldn't take that advice, I worried like crazy). Hang in there. Congratulations on the pregnancy! ↑
I was 7 weeks and 3 days when I first started spotting with this pregnancy. It was brownish and turned pink to red. I have another M/C in November so I am pretty dissappointed. I went in and they did an internal U/S and found a heart rate of 79, which is too slow. I also measured at 6 weeks 2 days and I know my conception date. I am afarid that I am just starting another M/C.
My advise is go in and get your hcg levels checked. This is a blood test that checks your hormone levels. THey will have you come in two days later to repeat the test and the numbers should double. This is a sure sign to see if things are going good or not. I have to wait until tomorrow to do my second blood test and I'm going CRAZY!!!
ANyone else out there had a sucessful baby and then a couple M/C after? Or had something like this happen and it ended up being okay? I have red blood today...no more brown stuff. ↑
I am 5weeks and i had some spotting on Saturday brownish and only when i wiped. I called my doctor and went up there today for blood work and everything came back ok. My hcg was 1400 she said that was good. I did have sex on Friday and the doctor said that may have caused the spotting. I have an ultrasound booked for next Monday and will know better then. ↑
