my son would be 9 months old on 17th july.
He was born weighing 8.4lbs and 21.25in.
on june 2nd he weighed 18.12lbs and on june 26 he weighed 18.13lbs. he usually drinks between 28-32oz of milk per day though recently started drinking 15-21oz per day, the most he has ever drank in a day was 38.5oz. Now my neighbour's son is 7weeks younger and drinks 50ozs per day and weighs 26.5lbs and she looks at me shocked when I tell her how much he drinks and weighs and she is also a nurse so it makes me wonder if I am underfeeding my son?

Sounds like he is doing great! When they are real little they will double their weight quickly but once they have done that they gain at a slower pace. He hasn't lost weight or anything he just didn't gain much. Just be sure to weigh him in a couple of weeks to make sure he doesn't lose weight. I think they get concerned if they are losing. ↑

Oh I forfot to add 15 oz. a day is a little less than my dd was getting at that age but she was no wher near 50 oz. more like 26 oz. ↑

He seems like he is healthy to me. At your next appt. with the doc. you can always ask how much he should be drinking. From 6-12 months my dd only gained 2 pounds and barely hit 20 lbs. at 1 year. I think your neighbor may be over feeding. Maybe her shock is more about her son weighing so much. ↑

50 oz of formula! That kid weighs as much as a 2 year old! Maybe she is overfeeding he baby, but it sounds like you are doing fine. ↑

Sounds like your neighbors kid is being extremely overfed. Heres a formula calculation 2.5 ounces for every pound they weight. That should give you an indication of what he/she should be taking in formula now are you feeding solids as well at this point. My son is 4 1/2 months old he drinks 40 ounces of formula a day and hes on solids. He weight 18.5 lbs and 28 inches hes off the charts hes not fat at all hes very tall. ↑

I think he's sounds fine. My dd is 13 months and weighs 19.10 lbs. She was actually 12 lbs until 6 months. Your neighbor sure has a big baby tho! ↑

My dd was weighed yesterday/ She is almost 19 months and weighs 22.8 lbs. This is only like the 10th percentile but she is completely healthy. She even has a bit of a gut but that is the only place there is any fat on her. ↑
