Hi- I'm looking for advise on which variety of apple is best to give my 6mo old son. I used Royal Gala apples thinking that it was sweet enough-but it wasn't and my son refuses to eat it. Any suggestions ? Thanks! adzrw

Red Delicious, Pink Lady, or Golden Delicious would probably suit him better. Golden Delicious is the sweetest in my opinion and sometimes a little too sweet for me. Red Delicious and Pink Lady are both just right to me for sweetness and yumminess. Give it a shot!

I think cortland apples are the best. They are the only kind I have been able to get my 18 month old to eat. They are nice and sweet, but too sweet to use in pie.
