braxton hicks happen throughout late pregnancy so yes they are pretty normal. How far along are you? ↑

How far along are you and about how many would you say you are getting in an hour on average? They may very well be real contractions and the start of labor and they may eventually get closer together and more painful or they may stop altoghther. When in doubt though call the doctor. ANd especially call your doctor if you are less than 36 weeks. Any kind of painful contraction before you are term should be monotered. ↑
