I have been trying to conceive for the past 6 months, but didn't ovulate on my own during those period. I took clomid 100mg on days 2-6. I ovulated on day 15 and today (day 32), I did a pregnancy test and it came out positive. Clomid does really help, and I thank God for answering my prayers

Congrats to you cjn!!! You must be so excited! My ultrasound last night was a good one--egg follicles are at 18mm on day 12 from 100 mg of clomid days 3-7. The doc feels that i will be ovulating on Sunday--so we will be keeping busy this weekend! We are hoping for the best :)

I am 28 yrs old and i had my first IUI done last month. which failed

First Cycle (IUI)

I had clomid 50mg from day 3-7 and then i went for my daily blood monitoring and ultrasound. I had 10mm follicle on day 10 ( the first monitoring day) and i was given 2 days off.

then the follicle started to grow and my Estrogen was rising in the way it was suppose to. but by day 17, I dint surge so i had the ovedril (hcg injection given at 10pm) to trigger my ovulation and 2 days after I had my IUI done. I could feel myself ovulating that day. i was so happy

after 2 days i was feeling bloated, tired and lower back pain.

i thought i got pregnant after 7 days when i kept having to urinate frequently. I did a home pregnancy test which came back negative after 10 days past IUI . After 13th day past ovulation, I had stomach cramps as if I was going to have my period but it stoped the next day. 15 days past ovulation, I was damn sure i was pregnant coz with my stomach cramps, i dint get my period.

But 1 day later , my period came.

Second Cycle (IUI)

This is my second cycle. They put me on Femera for day 3 (3 capsule), Clomid Day 3-7 (50mg) and till day 19th I didnt surge but i have 3 follicles now. I have having he Hcg injection on day 19th

I had light spotting after this IUI and when I checked my mucus,I dint find it stretcy? as last months...so I thought even with the HCG trigger, I dint ovulate.

But I had all the pregnancy symptoms ( nausea, bloating, fatigue) and after 16 days past IUI my period came again.

Third Cycle (IUI)

Now I am on for this cycle. Medication same as before.

I feel frustated.....and anxious.

my cycles are usually very long..cud vary from 35 days to 80 days long.

First Cycle:

I was given provera for 1 month to have my period start early and I was put on clomid the first month and my follicle size was increasing as it was supose to , howeever we had to trigger the ovulation once the fol was 22mm by day 17 so my IUI was done on 19th day.

Date Day E2 LH Size

10 n/a n/a 10mm

11 B n/a

12 B n/a

13 700 n/a 14mm

14 800 7.5

15 1336 8

16 1479 6.9 21mm

Second Cycle:

I got my period 35 days (16 days past IUI) and again Clomid but added Femera on day 3 (3 capsules)

Day E2 LH Size

10 93.6 9.09 n/a

11 off

12

13 253 10,12

14 213

15 359 9.3 13,11,11

16 580 7.4

3rd cycle:

My period was again 16 days after IUI and again Clomid and Femera. But this time: estrogen is 120,140,160 and slowly increasing but the numbers are very low.

Day E2 LH Size

10 119 7.5 10

11 off

12

13 119 7.5 11

14 131 8.6 12

15 120 8

16 160 6

17 120 10 13

so on the 17th day after my ultrasound, the doctor gave me 2 days off and another ultrasound. but I am loosing hope. Since my cycles are very long we r going to continue monitoring.
today is day 20 and i just had my ultasound and the follies are onlt 1cm according to the girl who did my ultrasound.
I am having hot flashes....I sweat eery so often and i feet so hot and then i feel cold again. Anyone on Clomid and Femera.

Hi there. I haven't posted since May, when I first found out I was pregnant. I am now 18 weeks pregnant with bbg TRIPLETS!! Most definitely a Clomid success story.

Sabbra - Congrats to you and I am very happy for you as well. I will keep you in my prayers for a healthy and happy pregnancy. Please keep us updated on how things are going. Also if you don't mind can you tell me what your treatment plan was. I am on my 3rd round of clomid/estrogen/progesetrone. I am also 40 so my time is running out. I am currently on cd 12 I took 50mg of clomid on cd 3-7 and then I took the estrogene 1mg 3 pills 2 times a day on cd 8-12 and I am to bd on cd 10-16 but I started on cd 9. today I am going to start using my opk test strip the ones I got off the internet I only have 7 left so keeping my fingers cross that I ovulate around the same time. Last cycle I ovulated on cd 15 and the cylce before that I ovulated on cd 13. I am to start taking the progesterone gel starting on cd 17 until I either get AF or a bfp and if I get the bfp then keep taking until I am 10wks. Also I can take a hpt test on cd 27 & 28. This is the treatment plan my doctor gave me. I think I am ovulating or getting ready because my right ovary is really hurting. Take care of yourself and have a nice weekend. Krissy68

Krissy68 - This was my first round of Clomid 50mg x 5 days after taking Provera to start my period. I was also on Metformin 500mg 2x daily and Prozac 20mg 1x daily. I honestly thought that there was no way I was going to get pregnant. I haven't ovulated regularly in 12 years. I wish you all the luck . If you want to email it is csabbra at yahoo dot com.

Hi everyone I was hoping for some words of help. My husband and I have been TTC for a year but using nothing to stop it for 5 years to trying we thought that something should have happened by then and nothing still. So I went to the dr and they had us to all the test and everything is good so far but the progesterone was a little low but still in normal range. The dr gave me 50 mg clomid to do days 5-9 and I have a normal period so I was scared to take this to mess up my reg cycles and I just need to hear from someone who knows what it is like. Everyone around me is getting pregnant so easily and it is making it hard on me so if someone could lend a word of advice Thanks,

Hey ladies! I am also new to this forum and after reading all the postings, I feel like I am in the exact same boat as evewannababy. Hubby is fine and I just have a little low progesterone but very regular AF all my life. We've been trying for a while and since we both turned 30 this year we decided to try to help nature along. Took my first round of Clomid CD 5-9 had some hot flashes but not bad. I have had cramping and strange sensations in my ab ever since and my AF is now 4 days late. 2 BFN's later I just wish I would get AF already so I can start the next round. I have been reading all over to try to find out if the clomid is just making AF late or what. Any thoughts ladies?

Name: Krissy68 | Date: Sep 8th, 2008 7:57 PM
evewannaababy - Welcome to the group. Your doctor might have prescribe you the clomid to help you out since you probably have unexplain fertility problems. It shouldn't mess up your cycle well it didn't for me I normally start AF like clockwork I might go a day earlier or a day late but mostly it is on the same date. Good Luck to you.
wendytd - What days did you take your clomid? I took my last clomid today so it cd 7 for me starting tomorrow I will be taking them stupid little estrogene pills I hate them.Keeping my fingers cross for you keep me update.
mandi13206 - I don't think the clomid will mess with your AF it shouldn't make you late but then again I could be wrong I never had that problem. I know it will either make you ovulate early or later in your cycle. From my experience I get my AF like clockwork maybe a day earlier or a day late but mostly 29-30 cycles for me and it was this way before taking the clomid. Good Luck to you and keep us posted. Krissy68

Hi Krissy, I took the clomid day 3-7 50mg. I don't normally ovulate on my own monthly, only like once or twice a year. Do you think I will ovulate after day 20?

Name: evewannaababy | Date: Sep 9th, 2008 4:51 PM
I am so glad that you have responded to me I am so excited and scared at the same time about the clomid. I really was concerned at first with the side effects and now I am just ready to start it and see what happens. I don't want to get my hopes up, but I was wondering what is the usual success time on cycles of clomid. It looks like 1 to 3 cycles but like I have said before I just want to share with someone that knows. Thanks

Hi everyone, I am very new to this whole process and would really like some advice. I am about to be starting this process hopefully soon. I have a doct appt on monday and I will find out what I need to do next. I actually had to go a step further because I didn't recieve a period for months at a time. They needed up putting me on a medicine called provera which brings it on. At first I thought that it wasn't going to work. Well IT DID!!! Which is a good thing. I keep doing research on Clomid and it is bugging me out a little. My husband keeps telling me that I need to stop reading into everything but when your 24 and can't get pregnant it is a little hard not to do as much research as possible. I was wondering if anyone can give me a little advice on what to expect and how to go about doing things. I have a mother but she isn't that capable of giving me advice. Should I start my body temperture now before I go to the doctors again or just wait and see what she has to say. Please help I am really scared and just need a few words of encouragement.

Thanks

Kelly, I know exactly how you feel I am around the same age and have been trying natrual to get pregnant for almost a year. My doctor has done all the work up and is now giving me clomid to start as soon as my next cycle begins. I so frustrated like you but I am really excited to start the clomid. I have such high hopes for this medication. I have a normal cycle monthly so I don't know what you are going through there, but as far as temperature goes we tried that and what I have found is to use the ovulation predictors you can get at the store. They are a little costly, but it really helps I usually start testing right after my menses and go till I get a positive reading. I hope this helps...

Hello Girls,

I am new here - just found out about this site and have been reading through it!!! I have to say it is the best website I have found! Very helpful and imformative and the ladies are lovely on here!!! I am 21 ttc for the past 2 yrs, I have PCOS and was diagnosed at 11 with this condition, I have all the usual symptoms, absent periods, high testosterone, Insulin Resistance, excess weight, ex hair growth etc.... I have been on and off Met since 11 which has only ever induced about 1 period every year and a half. My fiance and I are seeing a RE (Reproductive Endo) on October 10th 2008. In hopes to start Clomid. Some may consider it a litlle anxious of me, but I was wondering if any of you had some info as to the requirements of Clomid e:g - Do I have to physically have a natural period in order for me to commence treatment with clomid? - This is a concern for me as I never have periods!!! Also - What do you all mean when you say, "I took clomid on cd 3-7?" Thanks so much ladies, all you sucess stories have given me so much faith... I hope I conceive on my first round? Love and Baby Dust to you all!

Name: wendytd | Date: Sep 12th, 2008 7:54 AM
Hi samantha08, I also have irregular period since 12. I only ovulate on my own once or twice a year on my own and my dr gave me clomid. First she gave me provera for 10 days to start my period and then the clomid 50mg days 3-7. This was my first cycle but I didn't ovulate. Hopefully next month will work. Blowing baby dust your way...

SAMANTHA CD3-7 means that they took clomid on cd3,cd4,cd5,cd6 and cd7. CD means cycle day you count first day of AF (period) as CD1. Good luck!!

Name: Krissy68 | Date: Sep 15th, 2008 6:25 PM
Welcome to all the new ladies and good luck to you. Jump right in and we will help all we can.
KAZ - How are you doing and what cd are you on?
I am on cd 14 and I did get a bfp on the opk on cd 12 & 13 I will be testing again when I get home to see what the results are I will update in the morning. I can tell you that I am relaxing more and not stressing like I had been. I didn't even tell dh that I got a bfp just in case neither one of us was in the mood to bd which was just the opposite. I have given myself a little pep talk if it happens then great and if it don't then that is okay as well or that is what I am telling myself now. (smile). Give me some update girl. Krissy68

Name: wendytd | Date: Sep 15th, 2008 6:31 PM
Krissy I hope this is your month and you get a bfp at the end of the month as well. Today is cd 26 for me. No O and no AF but I'm staying positive and I know next month I will have better luck...

Name: Krissy68 | Date: Sep 16th, 2008 5:52 PM
wendytd - when is AF due? I hope she stay away, when are you testing? Let me know. Krissy68

Name: wendytd | Date: Sep 16th, 2008 11:40 PM
Hi Krissy, I'm not really expecting AF. Most likely I would need to take the provera again and then start cycle 2. Do you think I should test anyways?

Name: samantha08 | Date: Sep 17th, 2008 7:44 PM
Hi Wendytd - thanks for explaining. How are things going? How long have tou been ttc? And did the RE have any reservations about starting you on Clomid?
