| Clomid Success Stories Taken on 3-7 of Cycle |
Question: Hey everyone.. I was wanting to hear from everyone who has became pregnant from taking clomid days
3-7. What was your dosage. 50 or higher. And did you take name brand clomid or generic??? Thanks everyone for the information. My doctor has me starting clomid next month days 3-7 @100mg... I have took clomid before last year for 2 months but the first month i took50mh days 5-9 and the next month 100mg days 5-9... and of course nothing happened.. So i am really counting on this to work.. Thanks everyone for the information.. looking forward to talking to everyone and sharing info.. Lots of baby dust to everyone!!!***** ?

| Answer: Hi Mandi. I took Clomid 50mg days 3-7 and have my first IUI tomorrow morning.
Hopefully I will have a BFP 1st week of May. I had two big follicles so I am hoping for twins :)
I took the generic cause it's cheaper and the pharmasist said it's the exact same as Clomid.

| Answer: Hi Mandi24...My friend took clomiphene, off brand of clomid days 3-7 with robitussin and baby aspirin. She conceived on the 2nd cycle. Oh, I guess she didn't do the aspirin or robitussin until the 2nd cycle. Good luck. My friend was unable to conceive for 9 months and finally did after clomiphene. = |
| Answer: I took clomid, I think it was clomiphene days 3-7. I used preseed and musinex just in case of little or no cm. I o'd on cd 14. Started opk's on day 10 per my dr's recommendation. I am now pg with twins due the end of Sept. Good luck. = |

| Answer: Hello. I have been reading these forums since I started clomid about 2 weeks ago and I thank everyone for sharing their stories. I am 21 and have been diagnosed with PCOS. I am currently on CD18 on my first round of 50mg Clomid days 3-7. I did not experience any side effects except minor hot flashes while in bed. I have cramps in my lower right side, almost like AF cramps. I think I may be O'ing now..not really sure how to tell besides a OPK or taking temps... anyone have similar symptoms and conceive on the first try? I would love to conceive =) Any info or suggestions would be great! I will also let everyone know how the next week goes....I will still be bd'ing...since I am still having cramps in my right side... do you think I am still O'ing? or Oing late? = |

| Answer: Hello, I took Clomid for the 1st time during last cycle frm 3-7, 50mg-twice a day. I did ovulate on cd 17-18 and got progest. level of greater than 20 but still not pregnant. Now, my 2nd cycle started and i've to take Clomid again during 3-7 days. I dont know y i didnt become pregnant. Me&hus did it almost evryday aftr finishing clomid. | Answer: Hello all! I just joined this site to give you guys strength and hope because the clomid has worked for me! I also have PCOS and I am currently 6 1/2 months pregnant with our first son! I took 150mg of Clomid and 1500 mg of metformin and on that dose it took me 4 months to get pregnant and I miscarried that baby at 12 weeks, so I went back on Clomid in August 2008 this time I took 200mg of clomid and 1500 mg of metformin and conceived in September 2008 and this baby is doing great! Whatever you do please don't give up! I promise everything that you go through will be sooo worth it in the end! I took my clomid on days 5-9 but what I realized is that my doctor advised me to test for ovulation on day 10 but in reality I was ovulating on day 7 so my husband and I started trying on day 7 instead and thats the month I got pregnant! 26weeks and 2days with our baby boy! Keep on trying but dont forget to try to have fun with it and look at every month as a new opportunity and I have faith that you won't have many more months of disappointment! = |

I am new to the site and I don’t know all of the lingo. We have been TTC since 2005. I currently live overseas b/c my husband is in the military. We are seeing a local Dr and things are slow. I had a complete work up and my husband also. Everything is fine with him. My Dr ordered a HCG to see if my tubes were open and my right tube was blocked. I had surgery in Jan 08 and had my tube unblocked. I also have PCOS. My OBGYN said everything looked fine now and I should have no problems. I followed back up with my fertility Dr and he wanted to due and IUI, but we are not able to afforded the procedure. The exchange rate is terrible and my insurance does not cover it. So my Family practice Dr wrote me a RX for Clomid 50 mg. I took Clomid days 3-7. I took my last pill yesterday. I am not being monitored at all while taking this. So I guess now we just wait and see if it happens. I see some people are taking Mucinex, when do you take this. Does anybody know? Baby dust to everyone!!!!!

| Answer: has anyone had this happen??? I had a period april 8th - 11th started clomid on the 12- 16 50 mg. on the 21 strated feeling crampy and on 24 started spotting then 25-27 heavy like a period. Then i asked if i should get progesterone cream to use along with the clomid and she said no that the clomid would raise my pro levels itself. | Answer: There are some questions within this post that were left unanswered and I would like to answer them in caes there are others that have these same questions.
- 81 mg Aspirin "baby aspirin" helps with building up the uterine lining and also helps to prevent possible blood clots that could prevent fetal development.
- mucinex or robitussin can be used after the last dose of Clomid up until ovulation to help thin out your cervical mucus making a better environment for the sperm to survive and do their job. Clomid dries up cervical mucus which makes for a hostile environment for the sperm. = |

Chel-C - No AF found me 2 days before schedule I started on saturday and let me tell you she isn't being very nice. I have been soaking through everything and passing large clots. | Answer: i take my clomid -generic brand 100mg cd 2-6 so very similar to your case. i have not heard much sucess taking it as late as cd5-9? the earlier the better as you develop more follicles in time for ovulation. I have been on clomid in the past but suffered chemical preg or early miscarriage at 6 wks, so no baby from it yet for me. good luck 2 u! = |

| Answer: clomidchic: the earlier you take the clomid, the higher chance for m/c because the follicles aren't as developed as if you start on days 5-9. btw, i'm pregnant and took it days 5-9 for all 3 cycles. = |

| Answer: I had ordered new OPK tests from babywishes.com and tested with one of them for the first time last night and it registered an almost positive test line. I was a little curious that it might just be because of the different brand- maybe the sensitivity was different from the one I had been using so I tested again with one of my old ones- I had a few left. To my delight it also registered an almost positive. I have never seen two lines on an OPK - faint or dark! So I am very pleased! This morning I tested again and a very faint line showed up , so I am assuming that I caught some part of my surge which means I am still ahead of the O game!!!!! BD last night- then pillow under my behind and legs up the wall for 30 minutes!! :) Oh the things we will do! lol Anyways just wanted to keep ou guys informed and get any input on the OPK's and whether you think my assumptions are correct! | Answer: One last thing - i see a lot of Ovaluation testing talk on this site. My doctor gave me a shot to ensure ovulation at a specific time so that we knew when to try. did anyone else have this shot? it hurts and is in the bum. = |

It was so hard when I started my period that I had decided this was my last try. Since I have read the stories I will try agian. The side effects are bad but it will be worth it in the in. | Answer: Hi ladies. I'm new to this thread but I participate in some others in this forum. I was diagnosed with dysfunctional luteal phase and PCOS which basically means I don't ovulate some months and others I ovulate so late that the egg doesn't have time to implant. I started 50mg clomid on Monday days 3-7. I am now on cd 5. The hot flashes are horrible and I have been feeling a slight discomfort in my lower abdomen. I also have been having insomnia. DOES ANYONE ELSE GET THIS? = |

| Answer: Those all are very common side effects! TTC 2008- If you are aking how long does it take to get pregnant on Clomid, it varies! Some woment get pregnant on the first try while other it takes months and doses of Clomid up to 150-200 mg. There is no way to know for sure how long it will take you until you get pregnant :) = |

I just finished my clomid on saturday (cd 3-7) yesterday I started taking the estrodoil I have to take 3 pill 2 times a day but now I am starting to feel dry (sorry tmi) should I start the robintussin now? | Answer: So far OPK's are negative- They just started to show clear lines, but not as dark as control line- so not sure what to make of it! Krissy- I take 2 tbsp twice a day following last dose of Clomid up to Ovulation day! Good Luck everyone! Baby Dust! = |

| Answer: Krissy- Yeah, anytime before ovulation is good! The earlier the better- CD 10 should be no problem- Just remember to stop once ovulation is detected. Well I am back to only one line on the OPK's. Even though the test line never got darker than the control line could I still have ovulated- could that have been the extent of my surge? Last month it looked the same- 3 days in a row of two clear lines - all others had only one line or VERY light test lines. (CD 16,17 and 18 had two distinc lines) Temp dropped to 97.2 yesterday (CD 18)and was back up at 97.4 today! CD 17 had the darkest test line out of the bunch. | Answer: Chel-C - Thanks for the advice on the robintussin. Now I have another question for you. I'm on cd 12 and I started using my opk test strip and I got 2 lines the test line isn't as dark as the control is this considered a faint positive and is it because I took clomid cd 3-7 today is the 5th day from my last pill. I am going to test again before 8pm and see if I get the same results I will let you know. I am so confused. I know I will be bding tonight. Krissy68 = |
| Answer: Krissy- I have heard mixed reviews on the OPK's. Some say that the test line has to be darker than the control line to be considered a positive, while others say that the test line can be lighter than the control line if it is normal for you (ex: if it is a monthly occurence for you and that the test lines are never darker than the control line). So I am having trouble determining this myself. Because LH can be detected in the urine throughout a cycle it is hard to say whether you are catching the beginning your ovulation surge or if it is just a small window of high concentration. If you normally get a deffinite positive on OPK's then I would say that for you a test line that is lighter than the control would NOT be considered a positive for you, however if you don't NORMALLY get a definite positive on OPK's then I would say that it is possible that you have caught your surge- whether it is enough to make you ovulate only your temperature chart will be able to tell you and even then the only way to know for sure that you ovulated successfully is when you get pregnant! :) I hate that it is such a guessing game! | Answer: Temp was 97.9 this morning and it has been running between 97.3-97.5, also CM was sticky and white-- All signs are pointing to ovulation!!! Even Ferning test showed ferning on CD 18 and a little on CD 19 and none this morning!! Oh, and Krissy- I have read that on Clomid you normally ovulate 5-9 days after your last pill, so it very well could be your ovulation surge! However my last pill was on CD 7 which puts me at ovulating 12-13 days after last pill and last month 14 days after last pill! = |
| Answer: Chel-C - Hi and thanks for getting back to me. Okay I took another opk test before 8pm and it was a BFP no mistaken. According to FF it says I should ovulate between cd 12-14. I didn't bd last night so I know I will have to tonight. My temp on cd 12 was 97.85 and today is 97.93. I will be taking another opk today and see what I get and I will let you know. I guess taking the clomid/estrodoil have really messed my cycle up this time around. Also both of my ovaries was killing me yesterday/last night but today I only feel a slight pain mostly on the right. I will keep you posted. How are you doing? Krissy68 = |
| Answer: Hey ladies here is my latest update and I am so mad at myself anyway I tested and it is Negative so I think Imight have missed ovulation. I normally would test on cd 10 but I decided to count 5 days from the last clomid pill and test on cd 12. What do you think should I test a few more days or just stop? Help I am really confused. | Answer: Krissy- It sounds like you are right on track. You said that you definitely got a positive OPK. Then you should ovulate within 1-3 days. If your temp is normally 97.8-97.9 then you should get a spike either today or tomorrow, this will tell you for sure that you have ovulated if you temperature remains high for at least 7 days in a row. Now if your temp usually runs (ex. 97.5) before ovulation and you are now getting temps that are 97.8-97.9 then you may have already ovulated. If you got a positive OPK within the last two days then I don't think that you have missed your chance! Oh, and I usually feel those same pains just before I ovulate also- like pressure pains around my ovaries! Good Luck and have a great weekend also!! = |
| Answer: Well Im currently on cd 7 and I have just finished my clomid but I didnt seem to have any side effects, is this normal? Does this mean its not going to work or maybe im not taking enough? as Im on 50mg cd 3-7. Maybe I just thought that if i got side effects then at least i would know it would be working.

| Answer: I never had side effects on 50 mg but it did work for me as far as ovulation goes. I did move up to 150 mg the following month and did have side effects such as feeling sick and hot/sweaty. I wasn't sure that the 50 mg had worked until I compared temps, OPK's and CM charts for both months. Baby aspirin (81 mg aspirin) is used to help prevent blood clots that can prove fatal to a developing fetus. one 81 mg aspirin a day will thin the blood just enough to help prevent this!! = |

| Answer: Hi, i am going to take u/p nclomid in the hope that i have twins, i have read about it all, so please no ear bashing. i just wanted some advice, i came off the mini pill a couple of weeks ago and did not have a period 4 8 months, i had some spotting for about 5 days after being of the pill for 3 weeks on the 7 th june 2008. im just waiting for my cycle to go normal for another 2 months, before i went on the pill i had a 28 day cycle and was taking microgynon, but because i suffer from migraines the doc changed my pill. i really want to concieve twins and i got my clomid, generic version through the post yesterday, i got 50 mg and am planning to take it on days 3-7, what are my chances of concieving twins, and do i have to get a OPK to know when i will be ovualting or can i just use an ovuation chart, does clomid change your ovualtion days. and shall i take anything else. if any one is in this situation please write back to me. thank u. i would just like to say to everyone that all your stories are really touching and baby dust to u all. = |
| Answer: Want Twins- Clomid will affect your ovulation day. While taking clomid you normmaly ovulate 5-9 days after your last dose however I ovulate around 12-14 days after last dose, so it will be different for everyone. i would use OPK's to make the best of you doses. I'm sure you know that you aren't soppose to do it more than 6 months in a row or in a year! And it is not reccomended to go past 3 months in a row. If you are aren't ovulating normally then your chances of twins are the same as ours 10% (10 pregnancies out of 100 will be twins) . If you are ovulating already then your chances of twins will be higher than 10% but I am not sure how much higher! I am not exactly in your same situation however I would love to have twins, but my goal is one healthy baby! Me and DH have been TTC for over 2 years now. We never used contraception hoping that it would just happen. Then a little over 2 years ago we started timing ovulation. Then about a year ago I started looking into medications. So I am now on 2nd round of Clomid and praying for a miracle!!! Good Luck on Your Twins and keep us posted!!! = |

| Answer: Well finally got BFP today for ovulation, im currently on cd15, so fingers crossed this will be the month, i was getting worried as this is my 1st month on clomid and thought it may have messed up cycle, but so far so good, baby dust to all :)

| Answer: Hi ladies and I hope everyone had a good weekend. As for me I am always confused so here it goes. I'm cd 23 10dpo when I was 8 dpo my temp was 98.84 and I took a hpt and it was neg okay no problem my temp drop the next day to 98.36 and I didn't take another hpt. Today I took 2 test back to back the first test I took I got 2 lines the test line was light but it was there so I took another one and it was negative so I am not sure when I will test again maybe in 2 days. I know my doctor wanted me to test on cd 27 & 28. I will keep everyone updated. Krissy68 = |
| Answer: Hey Krissy- Well if you think you got a faint positive then I would retest in the morning with wakeup urine. One more day you HCG should double and if you got a faint positive already you should get a deffinite positive in the morning!! I hope it really is a BFP for you!!! Baby Dust--------- Well for me 11 DPO- yesterday's temp was 98.1 but this mornings temp was 97.5 so not sure what to think- maybe AF will come tomorrow!!! = |
| Answer: Chel -C - Hi well I took another test last night and it was negative so I will wait a few more days and I will let you know. Yesterday at 10dpo my temp was 98.97 and today 11dpo my temp is 98.72 do you know what this means? I know in the past when my temps start going down like 2 to 3 days in a row then AF is on her way.
