Question: Our other thread was taking too long again. Maddy is up from her nap and I am trying to figure out what I am making for dinner. How are you doing? Did you get a good break with your niece there? Did you call your OB to get in early? ?

Answer: hey there - I am having trouble logging in again. It keeps telling me only registered users when I post, AFTER I've already logged in. ugh...let's see if this works! =
Answer: having issues with this site... =
Answer: We just finished dinner and now I am going to take Maddy up for a bath. Hopefully you can post soon. =
Answer: I don't get this site sometimes. Last night I couldn't post regularly - all my test posts would work but then when I'd actually type a message it would freak out. So annoying!! Still no baby! ugh - last night we went to babies R us and bought a bunch of stuff off our registry. We got a $150 gift card from Tim's employees and his mom had given us some $$ to buy the baby a gift - and I had a 10% off our registry coupon to use. got the double jogger which was really nice! Rachel loved it. :) Got the bumbo seat which I never used with Rachel - but friends have loved it. Rachel ran around the store with Tim going nuts over all the toys and stuff. She was soooo adorable! She'd see something cool and just freak out, dance, jump up and down and stuff. :) Very fun. She didn't get to bed till 9 though - and I woke her up just before 9. So there are only 2 girls left on our June group that haven't had their babies, besides me. :) Isn't that crazy? It's only the 10th! One is due at the end and one is due the 14th, but she is getting the membrane sweep today. sigh...I just cannot believe this guy is not here yet!!! I think I'll schedule an induction for next week and hope he comes sooner. Did I mention before that this Friday is Friday the 13th?? Wouldn't that be a funny one? :) haha...ok...not much else going on. Trying to find stuff to occupy my time but this rain ruins lots of ideas. :( Waht are you guys doing for father's day? Anything fun? =
Answer: I just posted and something went wacky- so frustrating!! Anyway, I am very interested to hear if you have progressd anymore. I bet by then you will be 5cm and 100%. That's my prediction. My appointment is on thursday too, but I won't have my first internal exam for another 2 weeks after that at 36 weeks. I slept really crappy last night and I just want these next few weeks to fly by- FAT CHANCE! Well, I am off to Wal-Mart in a few minutes. I have to get a ham for dinner tonight and they are the only place that has little ones. Everywhere else you go they are all big enough to feed 6 or more, I don't like ham that much. Maddy and Jimmy love it. Wal-Mart is also the only store around here that carries Huggies Overnight diapers, which are a must for Maddy. She pees a ton in the night, a regular diaper would never work. Okay, I'll check back later. :o} =
Answer: 5cm - well that would be nice. :) I just got back from Target -put Rachel to bed - and am feeling kind of weird. My tummy was a bit crampy /achey and having weird twinge like pains. Not sure how to describe it. I thought I had the runs, but when I ran to the bathroom - nothing. Could be nothing - could be the beginning. I'm just hanging out waiting. :) I should clean the house again - one day and it's a mess! I got tired of keeping it spotless - it's too much work for me right now. Hey, did I tell you that Sat. when we went to the movies someone broke into our truck? I thought Tim had forgotten to lock it since I saw no signs of a break in. They riffled through the glove box and left stuff sitting out - and only took my jacket. We had all our hospital stuff packed in the back along with the jogger and two car seats. As far as I know, all that's gone is my favorite coat. Well - I thought it was Tim's fault but today I noticed that the passenger lock is busted. So he isn't in the dog house anymore! :) I'm pissed though cuz now I have to get the truck fixed and I don't really want to leave it with anyone for a day or two with kids at home. =
Answer: Maybe your 'feeling' is the beginning of something? Don't worry about cleaning your house, let Tim do it. That sucks that someone broke in to your truck. I hate that some people won't just buy their own stuff!! Atleast you have insurance to pay for the damages, and maybe you can fine a dealership to fix it that offers loaner cars? We have all of our work done at Honda of Fife and I got a notice last month that they now have them. It is perfect timing for us because the van is due for a service. Keep me updated as far as how you are feeling today, maybe today is the day? =
Answer: hey there - my cramping is still there and I'm getting a lot of BH's...Tim doesn't want to go to his class tonight just in case. :) He's using me again. hahaha...my mom left me a message saying she's on her way anyways - hope it's not for nothing. :) I have massive pressure in my butt and lower tummy is killing me every now and then. Maybe I should start timing things.... =
Answer: Yea!! It sound like maybe tonight is the night!?!? Keep posting as long as you can. I can't wait to hear what has happend by morning. Keep me updated. =
Answer: I am so excited!! What is happening now?? =
Answer: WHAT ABOUT NOW??? I can't wait to come see you and the baby in the hospital. C'mon baby!! So glad to hear your mom is on her way. If this is it, I hope you aren't in too much pain right now. =
Answer: everything died down last night except for the stabbing pains in the butt area and constant wiggling from the little guy. I'm having cramping on and off this morning but nothing consistent. :( I'm calling to see if I can get in today at the dr office. They open at 8:30 so I'll keep calling here in a second till I get in. :) =
Answer: damn - my doctor is not in the office today!!! GRRR Guess I have to wait or go into labor on my own. =
Answer: If you really feel like something is up, can you just go to L&D and get checked? =
Answer: I ask because you already know that you are atleast -1 and 4cm with 90% effacement. I would think they might keep you? =
Answer: I might try that tonight when Tim gets home from work - we went to Ikea today and all of a sudden I got that the diahrea cramping feeling-and I can't spell the stupid word. :) I ran to the bathroom thinking I was going to explode (sorry, TMI) but then all I had to do was pee and sit there and wait and see. Nothing. I'm getting crampy again too - so maybe we'll go tonight. I'm gonna take a nap here and see how I feel when I get up. =
Answer: I am so glad your mom is there to help you with Rachel. I am kindof thinking you should go. What's the worst that could happen- they would send you home, big deal. Maybe I want you to go for selfish reasons? Probably a little. Either way you have an appointment tomorrow and will know then what is up if you don't go tonight. I think that if you do go this evening that the nurses will be as surprised as your OB is that you have made it this far without active labor. I am starting to think that what is left of your cervix to dilate is made of steel! I'm sure your mom is amazed. Keep me in the loop. =
Answer: one more of the june mommies is at the hospital - her water broke a little bit ago - I really AM going to be last!! I just got up and was going to take a walk but my mom, step-dad AND Rachel are all napping still. I really need to get her up - it's almost 4:30!! =
Answer: hey we are both posting at the same time. :) I want to go tonight but I kind of feel silly - hi, I feel like I have to poop all the time and I am crampy on and off, will you look and see what I have going on?? :) Tim just sent me a text and told me to hang in there, maybe it will be tomorrow and I almost started to ball my eyes out cuz that seems like forever from now and it's getting depressing. sigh...I need some candy. :) =
Answer: Come to my house. I'll share my swedish fish with you. :o} I wouldn't feel silly at all. I think that you should go and find out what is happening. Don't let Tim or anyone else discourage you from going if you want to. I can tell you that with my epidural I felt like I had to take a huge crap with every contraction. My butt hurt sooooo bad! No pressure at all, but, if it were me, I would definitely go. Women go all the time and are sent home. Women are also admitted with less progress than you have made. =
Answer: Did you decide to go, or wait until tomorrow? =
Answer: i decided to wait. we had dinner then went to my sisters - and I was just too tired to deal with it. I can wait one night I guess...ugh...but my appt is at 10:50 so I'll keep you posted! =
Answer: I am anxious to hear if you have gotten any further. My appointment is at 10:50am as well, so I will be looking for your post when I get home, or you can call me on my cell. That is a bummer that your OB wasn't in the office today, but you only have to wait about another 13 hours to know what is happening with your progression. Try and get some sleep and I will talk to you in the morning. =
Answer: How are you feeling this morning? I am leaving for my appointment in about an hour. I took some Tylenol PM last night to help me sleep and it did the trick. Jimmy's alarm went off at 3:45am and I didn't wake up at all. Maddy got up about an hour earlier than normal, but it was okay. BH have been killing me the las few days and are really regular all throughout the day and night- wonder what that is all about?? Sometimes it gets so tight that it stings all over my tummy. Anyway, let me know what your OB says, you can call my cell if you want to. =
Answer: hey there - I'm almost 5cm. she says all she needs to do is break my water to get things moving. :) I'm scheduled to be induced tomorrow - but the hospital will call me in the morning to let me know when to come in. Guess they have been kind of busy lately and there is one person ahead of me that is more of an emergency. So...I told them I didn't want to be induced but I would go ahead if they could use as little drugs as possible so I can try to do this as natural as possible. She also stripped my membranes - but I didn't feel it at all. I wonder if she actually did, since she doesn't want me to go that fast so she can be there. :) You have to wonder sometimes! :) =
Answer: That is great! I know you wanted to do it all on your own though. I had my appointment today too, and it turns out that I may have to wait for my induction. The hospital changed their policy regarding "convienience" inductions. Instead of scheduling it at my 36 week appointment I have to wait until my 38, and even then they usually only do it 3 days before your EDD. My OB thinks I may go into labor on my own before then. The BH have been fast and furious for the past few days and he offered to check me, but I declined. Oh, and he said he would only induce if I was atleast dilated to a 2. Oh, how the story changes as you get closer. I just don't want Jimmy and my mom to be in Seattle when the time comes. I would litterally be alone, unless Julie happened to be home. I'm just scared of the whole thing. I am so happy for you though. Let me know what time you are going in when you find out. You are going to be at Overlake, right? =
Answer: overlake it is..I'm gonna try to take a nap now. Rachel went down really early - I think she's either sick or her new teeth are bothering her. She got up at 12:45 screaming and I had to give her tylenol and hold her and lay her in bed with us for a while. I'm wiped out... =
Answer: Lets hope it is just her teeth coming in, and she isn't getting sick. Yes, get some rest, you have a BIG DAY tomorrow- the BIG DAY! I'm sure that if your OB told you she was stripping your membranes that she really did do it. Otherwise, she could just tell you that she didn't want to do it. Talk to you later. =
Answer: ok - I'm starting to have doubts about tomorrow! I want so bad for this to happen on it's own and I want to give it just a bit more time. I think I'm crazy!!! Tim wants to make sure he comes out ok so he is all for tomorrow but he's a guy, he doesn't understand wanting the "experience". :) I'll have to think about it - I called the dr's office to see what happens if I change my mind and want to wait till at least monday. I feel like it's going to be sooon so I just want to wait sort of, even though I don't really. :) =
Answer: You know, it is totally up to you. It's your body and if you really want to wait and let things happen on their own, then that is what you should do. You are right, it probably will be very, very soon. If it is worth it to you to wait, then wait. =
Answer: hey - i talked to the nurse and I can wait if I want - I just have to tell them tomorrow. :) She said I have to come in for the non-stress test if I don't do it tomorrow - and that I will be induced next week either way and my doctor is gone all week so she won't be able to deliver. ugh! pressure!! :) I'm feeling better about it - she said that since I haven't had any bleeding after the sweep that it's a pretty big sign that I'm thinned out and ready to pop. So we'll see - we'll go walk around a whole bunch tonight and see if we can't get things rolling on their own. :) I know I'm crazy but I've always had these stupid ideas of my water breaking in the middle of the night and rushing off to the hospital. haha..anyways, I think I'm gonna go tomorrow but I will keep you posted!! =
Answer: You have to be 100% confident in your decision, whatever you chose. Good luck!! =
Answer: Hey, I tried no nap today to see if it solves the bedtime problem of her getting up 5 or more times before she gives up and goes to sleep. I put her down about 20 minutes ago and I haven't seen her since, so I think maybe it worked!! I kindof sucks though because I love having that break in the middle of the day to rest, and no nap is making the afternoon really hard. She started whinning around 4:30 and all I could do to stop the noise was turn on the Care Bear movie. By 6pm I was in tears. She wasn't really being awful, just a bit uncooperative. We both know having a toddler and being big pregnant isn't easy anyway. I called my mom and was crying to her on the phone. Maddy saw me, came over, patted me on the knee and said, "don't worry mama". It was a rough day for me. Anyway, are you going tomorrow?? How was your evening? Is your mom helping you out a lot right now? =
Answer: hey there - no induction yet. They called to let me know they are too busy right now and to check back at 1pm. It probably won't happen today. Last night we went for a long walk that about killed me - and I can hardly move now. ugh...so no nap? You're brave to try that one! I'd rather rachel napped and was a bear at bed time! :) What time does maddy nap and what time do you try to get her to bed at? Rachel has been difficult at bed time lately too but we have to put her down by 8pm and leave her. She screams at us for a while but with her books and toys calms down. Usually she calms down as soon as we close the door when she knows we won't be coming back. I hate hearing her cry and scream, but she HAS to go to bed!! It's so hard sometimes. Hang in there!!! Sometimes kids get so overtired they won't go to bed at night - maybe she needs to go to sleep earlier??? =
Answer: Well, if you can't get in today, then maybe tomorrow. Hang in there, and maybe you will get your wish and things will get going on their own? Actually the no nap thing has worked out really well...oh, there she is, Maddy just got up just now. She was getting up about 8am, taking a nap from about 2-4:30 and then to bed by 8:30 or 9pm. I really think that with the nap in there she just wasn't tired enough at bedtime, which resulted in her getting up repeatedly. No nap kindof sucks, but this is great and I will take it over the bedtime fiasco anyday. Let me know what happens when you check in at 1pm. Talk to you later. =
Answer: hey there - I got bumped today for sure. Guess there are 4 more important people to induce. :) They have me on the list for tomorrow but I will probably just wait it out since my dr won't be delivering anyways. It's today or not at all - she's gone all next week. Bummer. I stayed on the list in case I change my mind. :) Have you tried putting maddy down for a nap earlier than 2?? I've read that sometimes earlier nap times are better -they go to bed earlier at night. I know that if I put Rachel down too much after 1pm it's difficult to get her to nap at all and even harder to get to bed at night. That could be the problem. I read a book on sleep patterns for kids that was pretty helpful for us - and has worked out great. Rachel has been a pretty good sleeper since I got her on her little routine. OF course, lately we've been a bit off schedule with all the stuff going on. :) Poor baby - she is either sick from teething or sick...she doesn't want to eat much at all, has a runny nose, a temp of 98.8 - don't know if that's high??? She is crabby too. Ugh - can't tell if I'm having contractions or if it's the baby moving - everything hurts. :) =
Answer: That's too bad you got bumped, maybe he will come on his own in the next day or two- you can only hope. As far as Maddy is concerned. Napping earlier doesn't work anymore. She won't go down at all. Some time between ages 2 and 3, alot of kids just grow out of naps altogether. I was hoping Maddy wasn't one of those kids, but it seems she is. My mom told me my brother and I were done with them at about 2 and a half, which is about where she is. It will be fine, I can deal. I am just so happy that bedtime was a success- YAY! You have no idea how awful it has been around here at bedtime. She was keeping Jimmy up anywhere from and hour to an hour and half past when he should have been asleep. The poor guy has to be up by 4am, which means he has to be in bed by 8:30pm. I really feel sorry for him sometimes. Anyway, it is hard when your kid is sick, and for you this is bad timing. Maybe she will get over it quickly and be better by the time your little guy comes. Hey, I really don't think you are going to make it all the way through next week. You are going to end up in L&D in the next couple days and your going to be at 6cm by the time that happens- lucky girl. Your labor is going to be fast. Let me know how you are doing. =
Answer: hey there - I was having a back ache all morning and then about an hour ago I lost my mucus plug I think. It was a ton of nasty goo that was tinted pinkish. woohoo!! I think the party is getting started!!! I'll keep you posted. We're supposed to go to a birthday part at 5:30, dropping Rachel off at my sisters since she's sick - and just in case I DO go into labor. :) Keep your fingers crossed for me! I want my dr to be able to deliver so I hope he hurries up! =
Answer: That is great news! I'll keep checking to see if you post. =
Answer: I'm wondering if you made it through the party or not????? =
Answer: I am so crossing my fingers for you fefer!! =
Answer: nope - no friday the 13th baby! All my back pain and cramping are GONE today. I can't believe it!!!!! This is driving me insane - I'm starting to think I'm crazy now. The hospital called at 6am - they weren't supposed to call till at least 7 - woke me up from a DEEP sleep that I never get- and wanted me to come in NOW. I told the lady what was going on and that I think things are going to happen on their own but I have to call back at 8 and talk to the head nurse and maybe go in anyways. I think I'm gonna go for a walk right now and think about what I want to do. It sucks that it keeps starting and stopping and teasing me - kind of weird. At this point you'd think it would just get going already!!! =
Answer: hey -I'm heading to the hospital shortly. they want to check me out first before the dr will decide if I can wait it out or be induced. I'm sure I'll be induced. =
Answer: I would be surprised if they let you go. How exciting! If I don't hear from you I will call the hospital this evening, but not too late. =
Answer: hey Heather wanted me to let you know she thinks her water broke.. she is headed back to the hospital now :) =
Answer: hey there - so I don't have to double type - check my post on the june mommies. I'm wiped out. I'll check in a bit later okay?? =
Answer: hi again - I've been getting contractions for the last hour now. Starting to time them but they last about 45 seconds at a time. Rachel is in bed now so I can be more focused. I might take a bath too! =
Answer: That is great. Maybe you will have a baby here really soon. Hey, did they check you while you were at the hospital earlier? Are you still at 5cm or are you 6cm by now? =
Answer: just wanted to let you know, incase you havent talked to her... Heather had her baby!!!! Levi christopher was born june 15th at 3:51am he was 9lbs 11ozs! Yay fefer :) =
Answer: How are you doing? I was going to call, but I am sure you have your hands full. I'm alright, just tired of being pregnant and my sciatica is bothering me. I wore Maddy out today, and agian, no trouble putting her to bed. The last few nights I have had to take Tylenol PM to get to sleep and stay asleep. Anyway, when you get a chance I would love to hear how little Levi is doing. =
Answer: It is almost 9am, and Maddy is still sleeping. I forgot to ask Jimmy to bring me a banana before he left for work. Now I am stuck upstairs because of how loud the gate is, with NOTHING TO EAT! Hopefully she will be up in the next 30 minutes or so, or I will have to wake her myself. How are you holding up? =
Answer: I saw the photos. What a chunky monkey! He is so cute, I love those cheeks. You sure did have a lot of visitors. I never had that many people in the room at one time when I had Maddy. I can imagine how happy you are. How is Rachel adjusting? Is she showing any signs of jealousy? That is my biggest fear when we bring Nathan home. How are you recovering? =
Answer: hey there - I'm doing ok. My butt still hurts but it's getting a lot better. :) Percoset is great stuff! We took Levi to his first appointment today and he is perfect! :) The doctor said we didn't need to come back for our 2 week since he's so good but I have to have some other test done either at the pediatrician's or at the hospital - and the pedi is closer. He's a healthy little bugger for sure! He's down to 9 pounds 1 ounce but the doctor says that's normal for such big babies to lose weight like that. Other than that - he sleeps a lot, doesn't cry much and has been really good. Except for last night. I was ready for bed at 10pm - went to put him down and he decided to wake up and eat - and eat and eat. Every time I put him down he wanted to eat some more or be burped. I started getting crazy cuz I was sooo tired!!! Tim got a pacifier out and that worked for about 5 minutes - just enough time for us to fall asleep. Finally Tim took over since I was turning into a monster - haha- and I fell asleep for about 45 minutes - then he was up again. I ended up getting a bottle and some formula and he had about 5-6 gulps and burped and was out for the night. I woke him up at 8 to feed him. :) I think he was finally hungry and I don't have enough in me to satisfy him yet - and he was ripping my boobs to shreds sucking so much in such a short period of time! My milk is starting to come in today though so he should be a happy camper tonight. We'll see. Rachel is pretty uninterested at the moment - he's just some new thing in the house. His car seat buckles are more interesting to her. We went to McDonalds today after Levi's appointment and let her play for a while - and she actually fell asleep on the way there at 10:30! She was soo wiped out from this weekend and being sick - still. Poor baby. Then last night when we got home she ran to see the balloons, slipped, fell on her chin really hard. Today she has a horrible bruise on the underside of her chin. I thought she had just eaten something purple but nope, she's bruised. Tim has pretty much taken care of her this afternoon too. I napped when she did and then Tim got her up and took her outside for a bit and then they went for a run. Just got back too so I need to go so we can eat dinner! I"ll catch up with you again later!!! Hope you can get some sleep and take it easy, the big day will be here soon!!!! Don't wear yourself out! =
Answer: I am so glad to hear that you and the baby are doing so well. When I saw the photos of you and Levi, it made me realize that I am going to have a baby too in the next few weeks. It just made it really real. I know I'm pregnant, but right now it is just this squirmy blob in my tummy. Today was good, but Jimmy is irritating the crap out of me. He is whinning about being tired and not getting enough sleep. He told me that he wished he could come home one day a week and do nothing but take care of himself and go to bed. That would not work. Maddy wants his attention and I am sorry, but at the end of the day I need a little help. I get so sore by the time evening comes and some days I just can't do anymore. I was pretty fine all day today, then this evening when I took Maddy from him to get her in her jammies, I started getting this bad crampy feeling way down low and it wasn't letting up. I was having a really hard time just standing to get her dressed for bed. By this time it was about 8:20pm and Maddy still needed her banana and her juice while she watched Backyardigans. I brought her in to our room to watch and Jimmy wanted me to just put her to bed without any of it, because he didn't want the cartoon on. I told him no. What the hell does he care anyway, he was just playing with his stupid phone anyway?! Maddy had her banana in her hand and a few times it touched his arm and he would flinch like it was just the worst thing ever. After the cartoon and her snack I told him that I would get her teeth brushed, and could he please do the easy part and read her a story? He had the nerve to say to me that he had already done "all of it", whatever that means. I told him that all he had done so far was throw her in the shower with him. I got her out dried her off and got her jammies on- remind me again of the definition of "all of it"! He got really pissy and and says, "I guess". I told him that I really don't think he understands what it feels like to be 35 weeks pregnant, and he said that he does because he hears about it all the time! I told him that I do the best I can and that if I could do more I would. I know he doesn't get the rest he needs, and he is stressed at work, but come on. I am huge pregnant at home from the time I get up until about 7:30 at night all alone with a toddler who wants to go, go, go all the time. Not to mention I am doing all the housework, and constantly bending to pick up toys and whatever else is on the floor. I made a suggestion to him last week, that he designate one day a week to take the 7:30am train instead of the 5:15am to give himself some extra sleep and he always has a reason why that won't work. What else am I supposed to do? He really upset me and I don't think he realizes how much. I think I am going to send him an e-mail to read once he gets to work. I am sorry to vent, I couldn't help it. =
Answer: I got a really appologetic e-mail from him this morning, and he feels awful about his behavior last night. All better now. How's the baby?? =
Answer: Hey, I know you are busy. Just wanted to check in. I don't want to call you at home and bother you right now. Anyway, Jimmy is going to work his schedule so he can work from home part time until the baby is born. He is gone anywhere from 14-16 hours a day and that is just too long for me right now. I am so glad he said he would and could do that for me. I hope you and Levi are doing well. If I don't hear from you soon I will try calling on sunday to see how you are holding up. Hopefully you are getting some rest and Rachel is behaving and not sick anymore. =
Answer: hi there - we've just been so busy running round! Dr appointments and follow ups for me. ugh..and playing with Rachel as much as possible. My computer was acting up too - something with the battery. I think we have it fixed now. I've also been sleeping a lot when I have the chance - recovery mode!!! Got to do it when Tim is around. :) Sorry about Jimmy and all that. be right back - Levi is demanding my attention for the moment. :) =
Answer: ok I'm back. So anyways, sorry again about your family woes. :) Guys just don't get how tired we get being pregnant and forget that being a stay at home mom is a 24 hour job - not an 8-5 job or whatever it is he works. Glad you guys have worked things out. Just wait till after the baby gets here - then you guys will really have something to argue about! We've had our moments late at night. :) haha...we are ok though, Tim knows I am a major grouch when I don't get sleep. Lucky for us, Levi is a LOT better than Rachel was by far! I know things can change but I really think he's going to be a bit easier. I don't know how I'm going to manage once Tim goes back to work-it's hard enough with him around trying to manage Rachel AND a baby. ugh...anyways, I need to catch up some emails and stuff. I'll be checking back later. Hang in there - you're in the home stretch!!! =
Answer: Glad to hear from you. I know it is hard having a new baby at home, regardless of their temprement. Maddy was an angel from the time she was born, and I was still tearing my hair out at times. As of monday, Jimmy will have a new schedule that will make things better for me. God it feels like these last 5 weeks are going to last forever. Next thursday I have my first internal check and I am hoping for some progress. My baby shower is this saturday, but I have to drive to Everett to my mom's. Anyway, it sounds like you are doing well and Levi isn't giving you too hard of a time. I'll talk to you later. =
Answer: NOt to butt in but I totally hear ya! My hubby gets up at 3 am to deliver papers and then has a fulltime job after so all I hear is whinning. I do agree he is tired BUT so am I! I take care of a newborn all night (he doesn't get up at all! ) And a 3 yeard old and a 5 year old I can't wait to see how well he does when I go back to work. I work second shift so he gets to deal with all 3 all by himself !! =
Answer: Sometimes men need a 'wake-up-call', to put them in check. My husband is a great guy and, is completely immersed in being a daddy. He just has a very intense, stressful job and is in the process of hiring 3 new employees to get ready to be able to take time off after the baby is born without a million calls a day from the office. To an extent I need to give him a break, but, it has just gotten to be too much for me and I had to tell him. Starting monday he will be working part time from home, so that is great. He won't get as much done, but that is just the way it has to be for these last few weeks. You certianly have your hands full with with three kids now. We are done after this one. I don't really like being pregnant, I just want the baby. LOL. =
Answer: our pooooor men. :) Actually, when Rachel was born my husband was working his full time job at Boeing, teaching his regular night class which was two nights AND had taken on an additional class which was one more night a week. At first we thought it would be not so bad but after Rachel was born I would practically toss her into his arms when he got home. :) He never complained though poor thing!!! I was a mess but he is much better on no sleep than I am. Even without a baby I need my ZZZ's. Ok - got to run to the store while rachel is napping. she got up at 6am after cry ing all night and fell asleep on the couch at 11:30 watching a sesame street movie. She's never done that before!! Ok -see ya later! =
Answer: Hey, I had my baby shower yesterday and it was really nice. I got some stuff off my regisrty and my my girlfriend Paula gave me $100 gift card to Babies"R"Us, so that helped a lot. By the time I got home, went through everything and got up to bed it was about 20 minutes to midnight, and my feet were soooooo swollen. I never had this problem when I was this pregnant with Madaly, but that was also winter time, so maybe the heat makes it worse? I am very uncomfortable, mainly because of the swelling in my hands and feet. Every now and then Nathan moves and it is pretty painful, but it's not consistent like the swelling. Jimmy just left with Maddy so I can go through my stuff and get it put away without "help" from Maddy, and so I can rest and get some of the swelling down. Anyway, I hope Levi is still an angel and making things pretty easy for you. How is Rachel doing?? Any jealousy?? Talk to you later. =
Answer: hey, only have a second right now. I have visitors coming. :) Last night levi slept from midnight to 6:30 am!!! I woke up at 5:30 in a panic because he hadn't woken up all night but he was fine. He eats and sleeps! Rachel is fine with him, just wants all his stuff. Car seat, toys, blankets, pacifier...you name it. No jealousy yet but we'll see what happens when Tim goes back to work. That's great about your shower! I love gift cards - you can get whatever you want. :) My feet got swollen with both kids- and my hands - and they still are a little. Getting better though. Oh, I know, TMI but my first post partum poops are out of the way. haha...I dreaded it - but I feel really good today for the first time (physically) and of course, I got several hours of uninterrupted sleep! My mom was here this weekend too - well, last night and part of today. I went to my dads yesterday morning with the kids since Tim went to run that Breast Cancer run downtown. I didn't want to be alone with both of them. Rachel got to play with my step-sister (10 years old) and hang out with grandpa. Gave me a break! Ok...got to run and eat something real quick. I'll check in later when the kids are asleep again. Levi should be hungry soon and a friend is stopping by here in the next 15 minutes or so. =
Answer: I finally finished washing, organizing and putting away all of the stuff from my shower and the things I bought yesterday that I didn't get. I am totally paying for it now. My feet are swollen again and hurt pretty bad, but not the kind of pain that can be helped with a foot massage. I couldn't stop today, I was on a mission. I cleaned out a drawer in the kitchen for all the bottles, I dug out my bottle warmer and the sterilizer too. I now feel like if I went in to labor now, that I would be pretty prepared... not perfect, but good enough to make it. There are still a few things I need, bottle brush, another package of Born Free nipples, changing pad covers, temporal thermometer, and a Keepsake box. I may go get that stuff tomorrow, depending on how my feet feel. Other than that I am done. Jimmy still has some things to do to finish Nathans room, but it isn't a lot and should only take him a few hours. At this point I just want all of this to be over with. I am almost jealous that you are done!! Jimmy changed his schedule to be home early three days a week until the baby is born. Tomorrow he will be home by 3:30pm and I am so happy for that, Maddy is really going to like it too. Anyway, I am glad to hear that you got some solid sleep last night. Madalyn started sleeping throught the night at about 5 weeks. It was great and the pediatrician told us that she would wake up if she needed to eat, so to just let her sleep. She would normally sleep for about 6 or 7 hours. I can only hope that Nathaniel is as easy as she was. I'll check back with you tomorrow. =
Answer: hey there- don't be jealous - I'm almost jealous of you cuz you're still pregnant. :) Kind of weird, you can't stand how you feel at the end but then you miss it when it's over. I just miss the anticipation of what's to come - but I'm glad I don't hurt anymore. I think pregnancy is a great excuse to get foot rubs whenever you want. :) Well I got under 170!!! woohoo!!! I've lost 20 pounds in a week - yay!! I weigh in at night and in the morning and you KNOW you're doing good when you weigh the same or less at night. Usually you weigh more at the end of the day. I'm really excited! Can't wait to wear my non-preggo clothes. I remember having everything ready about a month before - it was a nice feeling. I always found more to do though. :) I hope Nathaniel is good for you too - I'm just so happy about Levi, it's not nearly as stressful as it was with Rachel. Tim and I would get in little spats in the middle of the night with her because I was so tired and crabby. :) Never anything bad, but I was a super crazy mommy for a few weeks. haha...I was seriously sleep deprived and crazy from all the crying and throwing up she did. This one is like an angel in comparison - I loooooooove it. :) yay!!! Keep me posted on your appointments! =
Answer: 20 lbs lost so far, that is great. I'm not feeling that well today. I'm a bit nauseated and have been sick to my stomach since last night. It is pretty nice outside, but I don't want to get up, so I keep starting a new cartoon for Madalyn. I feel bad that I can't take her outside to play. Jimmy got home about 20 minutes ago, but he still has some work to do, so I don't know when he will be able to play with her. All I want to do is go upstairs and go to sleep. =
Answer: sorry you're not feeling well. :( I feel like I'm fighting a cold myself - seems it's going around and rachel was really sick so ... I'm sure my day is coming. I have a chest cough and it kills me to cough - hurts my butt. :) haha..but really, it does. Don't feel bad about the cartoons - I've had days like that and I'm sure once Tim goes to work we'll have some more. Right now I rely on him to entertain her as much as possible since I've got the baby to worry about. I feel bad sometimes, like I don't spend as much time with her now. I have to try to make time for just her - before bed and and stuff. Levi has been eating like a little piggy today - sometimes he wants to eat an hour after he just finished. Hope it's not that way tonight. Last night he was up from 3-5:30/6am. Ate at 3 and 4:30 and I had a hard time sleeping cuz he was fussing. Tim finally took him for a bit to settle him. =
Answer: Hey, I got the e-mail, but I could only open the first two photos for some reason. Levi is such a cutie pie, and you can really tell that he and Rachel are siblings. I am still sick to my stomach!! I can't shake this. I'm starting to think that it is because the baby is so low. I don't feel sick, and no one else in the house is ill. I guess I will find out on thursday at my appointment. Dr. Edstrom is going to check me for the first time. I am really looking forward to hearing wether or not I am dilated at all. Anyway, I saw that it is going to be really nice for the next couple of weeks, so Maddy and I are going to be spending a lot of time out in the pool in the backyard. I get to just sit in my lounge chair while she plays, that sounds really good to me. The less I have to move around the better. Maddy is finishing her breakfast and then we are off to the grocery store. Jimmy will be home today by 4:30, so I have to get something to cook for dinner. I'll talk to you later. =
Answer: I was sick off and on the last month - felt like I was going to throw up and nauseated a lot. I think it's hormones - but who knows. :) Levi slept for 7 hours last night! So nice! He didn't get up till 5:45 and then went back to sleep till 10am. He's back in bed again. Rachel is outside playing with Tim and I am gonna take a shower and then go enjoy the sunshine like you are. Hang in there! I want to know all about your appointment!! Oh, some people had problems with the pics and I have no idea why. Some people didn't even get my email - weird! =
Answer: Today has been a bit hard. I am miserable, and I keep doing way too much. The baby's movements are really painful, and the pressure in my crotch when I sit to pee is almost unbearable. I friggin' swear that if I am not dilated at all by thursday, I am going to have a breakdown in the doctors office. I want this to be OVER! I was short with Madalyn today and I feel awful about it. Jimmy was home, so I came upstairs and cried. Jimmy was supposed to be getting some work done since he got home, it hasn't worked out today. If he is stressed and feeling the pressure, he isn't showing it, and for that I am thankful. I don't need anything else to feel guilty about. Anyway, I am so happy that Levi is such a good baby for you. He really is adorable. =
Answer: I totally feel for you - I really do. :) It feels like forever ago now that I was in your shoes! I don't miss that part of it. Just take it easy - you really won't have a chance once the baby gets here - and that I know! Rachel has been a total pill the last few weeks -screaming and throwing fits over everything. I think she's frustrated that she can't tell us what she wants too. She just doesn't need to scream over everything!!! ugh..Levi was eating like a pig today. Every hour this afternoon! FInally I got so sore that I gave him a couple ounces of formula and he settled right down. He hasn't been too keen on the pacifier either - but he loves the swing! :) Ok - we're gonna watch a movie now that Rachel is in bed. Have a great night and take it easy!!!!!!! =
Answer: This morning I woke up and Jimmy had overslept. It was 8:40 when he got out of bed and he was supposed to have been out the door by 4:15am... oops! I was still in the shower when Maddy came in our room. Jimmy stripped her down and put her in with me. Now that she has had breakfast and I have finished vacuuming we are going to Rite Aid to get my Synthroid, and then to the park for awhile. My goal is to get some laundry done and make dinner tonight. Other than that I plan on laying around a bit. I figured out how to be in my lounge chair in the backyard while pushing Madalyn on the big swing, I am a genius!! Anyway, I have a positive attitude about today, and I think things will be fine. Besides, I just have to make it to bedtime, Jimmy has tomorrow off. Friday I am on my own again, but then there is the weekend. Jimmy's birthday is next Tuesday, at some point I have to get him a gift. There is this BBQ he has been eye-balling for the last couple of months. I hope it is still available. I can go get it and hide it in Julie's garage. I guess I should really go find it today. If it is gone I don't know what I will get, I have no backup plan. Well, the kid keeps telling me she is ready to go to the "paw-wak", so I guess I should get going. I'm sorry Rachel is giving you two a difficult time. Atleast Levi isn't colicky and screaming all day long (knock on wood). I'll talk to you later. I can't wait until this kid is born and we can get together again. Have a great day! =
Answer: So far so good today. I picked up my prescirption, took Maddy to the park and then we went to Fred Meyer. They are out of the BBQ that Jimmy wanted, so I guess I have to go to Home Depot to see if they have one like it. Julie came over with the boys and they all played in the pool for a little over and hour. I realized it was time to come in when I saw Maddy shivering and chattering her teeth. Now she is in and dry, watching Mickey Mouse Club House. This is my chance to figure out what to make for dinner. Jimmy probably won't be home until around 10pm, so I am on my own tonight. =
Answer: hey there - glad your day was good :) I got up at 5 with Levi - and he didn't go back to sleep till almost 7. So we slept in till 9. :) My big adventure was going to costco by myself while the kids slept. Then we went for a walk to the park. I over did it today I think - my butt hurts some more. I also did a ton of laundry and organized a bunch of stuff for our garage sale Friday. It's the "community" garage sale weekend. Anyways - just wanted to say hi real quick. I"m tired and gonna watch So You Think You can Dance. :) =
Answer: We are off to my appointment in about 5 minutes. I am hoping to have made some progress, anything other than 0 and 0%. Wish me luck!!! =
Answer: good luck - but remember, even if you are 3cm and 80% effaced - it could take you another 6 weeks! haha. :) Sorry, I was making a joke about myself but I guess it's not very encouraging! Well, you know I mean well! :) Keep me posted!!! Levi slept from 11-4:45, ate, and fell right back to sleep till 7:45. AWESOME!! He's starting to become a regular! I'm so excited about this. Tim says he didn't even need to stay home because he's been such a good baby - in comparison to how Rachel was he is a total angel. I feel so fortunate this time around - it's totally worth the extra two weeks I had to wait. :) =
Answer: Well, the bad news is that I am 0 and 0%. The good news is that I am measuring the same this time as with Maddy at 36 weeks. So, I am right on track to have another 6 pound 8 ounce baby if I deliver at about 38 weeks like with Maddy. If I go to 39 weeks he should be about 7 pounds. After my appointment we went to Lowes and Jimmy picked his new BBQ. We are having it assembled and picking it up on saturday. Then we went to Costco, and then to AppleBee's for lunch. Now we are home and Jimmy needs to get some work done. Later he is going to take Maddy to get the bike helmet she has been asking for, and then they are going to the park. As far as getting this kid out, I am going to go to whatever lengths necessary to help it happen, sex, squats, walking, whatever anyone suggests, I will do. =
Answer: What were you at 36 weeks?? I know I shouldn't compare, but I am starting to obsess. =
| Answer: i was 3cm and 80% at 35 weeks - but we both know that it meant nothing. :) He came when he was ready to! The good news though about waiting longer is that they gain more weight and tend to sleep better sooner....just in case you have to go closer to or after your due date. Don't stress about being 0 and 0. It really doesn't mean anything. You can go at any moment - my friend was like that. 0 and 0 and she went into labor 4 days before her due date. The L&D nurses told me that walking is one of the best things to do because it uses gravity to get the babies head to engage, which puts pressure on the cervix to dil | | | | | |
