Getting pregnant after an abortion

I was wondering if anyone could give me any advise. I am 22 years of age but when I was 18 I feel pregnant and for many reasons which I won't go into I had an abortion (The pill way) I am not proud of it and the thought of it makes me feel sick to my stomach it is somehting I really regret and I hope you are not judging me as you read this. I am still with the same man now and we are ready to have a baby. We have been trying for about 2 to 3 months but have been off my pill for about 4 to 5 months. I took a test today thinking I was pregnant cos I am 4 to 5 days late, to find it saying negative. Do you think I am ok or do you think I should see a doctor as I am worried something is wrong with me? Thanks for your time and any advise welcome.

I really don't think that will effect your fertility in any way. Trying for two or three months is really not long at all. I think it's something like a 20% chance for couple to become pregnant each month. Are you tracking your cycles and timing sex to coordinate with ovulation? Do you have regular cycles after coming off the pill?

Thank you for your comment. My cycle seems ok. I am always usually bang on time, give or take afew days.
How do I track my cycle and timing to coordinate with ovulation?
Thanks

Don't fret, this will not effect your fertility.

If you have a 28 day cycle you should be most likely to get pregnant about 14 days after your period starts. You can search the web for ovulation calculators to help you. Also they sell ovulation predictor kits in stores.
