I heard my baby's heartbeat on a Doppler at my first prenatal visit. Because of this the doctor said I was definitely 9-10 weeks pregnant. I feel very strongly that I was in my seventh week of pregnancy. Then she said I am more like 12 weeks along. I will not get my first ultrasound until 20 weeks. I am thin. Has anyone else heard their baby's heartbeat this soon on a Doppler? I feel I can't possibly be this far along, when I get my ultrasound will I know for sure how far along I am? ↓
The very earliest I've ever heard of anyone hearing the heartbeat with a doppler is about 9 weeks and even then it is hard to find. If the dr. found it pretty quickly, I'd say you are probably 10-12 weeks along. That is about the time most dr's will check with the doppler. ↑
i am 7wk3d and i had an ultrasound 2 days ago where the tech saw the heartbeat. i asked if it was possible to hear the heartbeat at that point (7wk1d) & she said it was but they dont do it (i didn't ask why but i got the feeling its because if they dont hear it, it's because everyone is diff. & they dont want to worry the mother). i also heard the thinner you are, the easier & possibly sooner it would be to hear the heartbeat on a doppler. you could very well be right kimberlye! ↑
We got to see our baby's heart beat at 7 weeks 3 days. We didn't get to hear it until I was almost 16 weeks. They tried at almost 12 weeks, and since I got a little pudge down there it was unable to be detected at that time. ↑
