How much longer?

Hi All, I am 35 weeks (possibly 37 wks since due date was changed) and have horrible pain in the pubic bone area that's making even walking very difficult. I went to the doctor today and she said I am 79% effaced and 1 cm dialated. Any ideas how much longer this means I could have? Thanks!

There is no way to know really. You're making progress but it could be tonight, it could be 3 weeks, it could be 5 weeks. I wish I could tell you more but really there is no way to know.

What your feeling is your muscle's being stretched thats what i was told and really it's hard too say how long you have i've been 5cm dialated for a week now and still nothing this is my 4th boy and i am just about 39 wks so you can go any-time or go past your due date.Sucks not knowing hey? Good luck

yeah it sucks because your thinking you could go any day since your dilating and effaced but unfortunately that's not how it works. I was 3cm and 80% effaced for about a month to a month and a half. But once you hit 36 weeks, you can pretty much pop any day

It could be anytime or a couple weeks from now. I know how you feel with the pubic bone pain. I was barely able to walk for the last 3 weeks of my pregnancy, it was extremely painful at night when I had to turn over every half hour too. Don't worry it'll get better pretty much immediatly after you have the baby and the pressure is off.

well, if you're 37 weeks then you would be considered right at full term. A normal pregnancy is 37-42 weeks, and for some women these symptoms last for a few weeks before labor. Just pay attention to your body-but don't obsess over it. Could be any day now-or any week.

with my last pregnancy I was dialated 4 cm and 80% effaced for two weeks.
