How should I interpet this? HCG confusion with Twins

I went in 6/20 for bloodwork and ultrasound. On that day my beta levels were 16,772 at 21 DPO. They saw two tiny gestational sacs. Seven days later on 6/26 I returned for repeat tests.. ultrasound showed two bigger gestational sacs but being they were abdominal u/s'ds we didnt expect to see anything in them. No one seemed worried. The doctor said my new hcg levels were looking good and I went home. I called back to get the exact numbers and they told me they were 13,687! How could they DROP by almost 3000 and still be nothing to worry about? Can anyone give me another reason why my levels would decrease and it NOT be a miscarriage of one or both? I'm furious with my doctors office for not paying attention. It will be another week before I can get in to see them again... right now I've had no real cramping to speak of and no spotting at all. Please help! Torry C.

i would call back and ask for your results again from both tests. maybe you heard one wrong or they told you wrong. they do that, i've noticed.

The results were inadvertently sent to my regular doctor who told me the numbers first.. I wrote them down and then called my OB/GYN and they confirmed those numbers. They werent transposed.

i would still ask again. i'd almost bet they give you a different set of numbers.
