I was 7 weeks when I had my m/c. It happened one week before I was supposed to have my first doctors apt. Why are they saying that you are at high risk for a m/c? If your hcg is trippling, that is a good sign. Normally, if your hcg levels aren't rising correctly, thats when they would detect a possible m/c. But your doc. should be able to put you on medications to help that along it they think it is a possibility. Good luck to you and i hope everything works out well!!

Hey Tammy ,
At first they were sayin I may have m/c bc they thought the baby was in my tubes. but since my levels are rising they said everything seems 2 be okay. but i still feel a little unsure about everything.

HELLO everyone, first of all I want to wish the best to all of you! I had a misscarriage 3 months ago, it started with period like cramping on one side and brown spotting for couple of days. I got an ultrasound and they told me I am 5 weeks 6 days pregnant but with no heart beat. I lost the baby 2 weeks after that. Please feel free to ask me any questions.

Hi, on the sixth week of my pregnancy, it started with period like, light to med cramps on one side . I had brown spotting with continued cramping. After this spotting, two full days of nothing but light cramps. On the third day, heavy, period like bleeding started and lasted 3 days getting heavier each day. I hope this helps you to make you feel better. Feel free to ask me any questions you might have. I wish you the best.

oh wow dj, i'm really starting to worry bc all last yesterday into last nite i had light cramping. and i was just thinking thats probably normal. i'm going to keep my eyes open. i haven't had any brownish discharge for a couple weeks and the doctor said that was just implantation. i've had normal creme color discharge though. so do you think i should be worried about the cramping?

I'm sort of in the same boat, at least..I think so..
My last period was on March 4th, I have a pretty regular cycle usually about 28-30 days..My next period was to be on or around April 3rd/4th.According to my cycle website I am 15 days late. Now is ovulation time if I were to be expecting ovulation -- and I have a pink staining on my panties -- sorry for the TMI.I feel really exhausted & nauseated when I haven't ate anything.I feel a little warm to me, but I don't really want to jump into the 'Im pregnant!" boat.. I had a miscarriage in Sept 05 and since then I've been "hopeful" for another pregnancy...I took a HPT last week and it came up negative. Could I be pregnant? Or did I experience missed ovulation and my body is now ovulating?

Name: preg2_18 | Date: Apr 18th, 2006 4:57 PM
your ovulation time could have been different when you thought it would be bc my last period was march 3rd. which would mean i would ovulate sometime around march 14-17th but i ovulated after that bc i'm only 6 weeks preg. so you could be experiencing implation bleeding or just light ovulaton. good luck, maybe try takin another test or talk 2 your doctor.

Hello there, I wouldn't be worried about cramps until it accompanies bleeding. Just keep up the positive thinking, I am sure everything will be great! Keep me posted.

Hi everyone I have a question to ask I had my period 2 1/2 weeks ago and 3 days ago I started to have a dark rust color blood when i whiped it was very light. I also have started feeling draned of any energy. Me and my husband have been tring to get pg for over a year now does anyone think that this could be Implantation bleeding?

Name: jennS | Date: Apr 23rd, 2006 7:35 PM
I have been wondering the same thing. I have been having light dark bleeding the past two days and usually it is heavy. I am very irregular since I had my son last year. With my last pregnancy I got pregnant right away but with no implantation bleed. We used the pullout method once this month and it was during ovulation.I took a pt but was negative. I don't know if I tested too soon or if it is all in my head. I also am more fatigued than normal lately. I would really like to have another child, but don't want to get my hopes up. Could I be pregnant?

Hi ladies. I have been going through Fertility treatments - injectables and was on day 23 of my cycle, day 12 from my IUI, when I started spotting. I called the Drs office and they told me to come in today, as it looked like I was having my period. Flow was red, a little clotty but not like a real period. They sent me home and said let's skip this month and put you on BC to help lessen what looked like a cyst on my ovary. An hour ago, my Dr. called and said, "Don't take the BC pill; you're pregnant" She said that some people can have what looks like a normal AF due to cells burrowing in, creating implantation bleeding. My husband and I have been on an emotional roller coaster (injectibles makes me very emotional) and will find out Friday, if the #'s are going up. This all after suffering a miscarriage in January. So, hold hope if you are bleeding, as both HPT's I took said (-).

How long does implantation bleeding last??!
My menstrual cycle is very unpredictable... for the past 5 days I have been experiencing bleeding, but it's just not normal. I have had no cramps, (as I usually do), and the bleeding has been light compared to my regular cycle. I can't shake the feeling that I'm pregnant, ept - tho. Anyone with a similar experience turn out +?

This might sound crazy but I think I am pregnant. This would be my 5th pregnancy. My first one I took the test long past when af was due. My 2nd one we lost to miscarriage at 7 weeks. My 3rd and 4th I tested the day af was due. With my last child I just KNEW I was preg. This time I know i am. I ovulated around the 13th and bd on the days around that. I took tests but they are all neg. Knowing its too soon to be taking those things. Today I went to the bathroom (sorry if tmi). After that I wiped blood on the tp. Since then there has been no blood at all. I keep checking. I am not due for af till the 30th. Does anyone know what this might be? Sorry so long. Thanks very much

Hi Everyone,
I have been reading the posts here, its very informative.I have been on the pill for the last couple of years. 4 wks ago I had severe cramping, in fact i was doubled over with pain. This happened over a 24 hour period and happened twice. A wk later I had what seemed like a period, only it was very light & lasted about 3 days and came around the normal time for me. Now I am due to get my period in a wks time but feel strange. My tummy is double its normal size, I have cramping pains almost all the time, bb tender, terrible nausea, feel like i should be eating but then cant and I have even worse lower back pain. Two days ago I sneezed and I had a horrible pain on the right side of my abdomen - felt like ovarian pain. Took a home preg test this morning and it was negative and I was very disappointed. Not to mention I am so scratchy I bite my husband's head off every chance i get. I dont know what to think. I feel pregnant but dont know if I am. Sorry for the long post.

Hi Ladies, just want to say its great to have so many people offering their stories, its like discovering a whole new world of understanding ... its fantastic ..I have a question ... When most people mention "bleeding" or spotting" i have a slight trouble defining the difference between the two. Not having a regular cycle confuses me when i have a "brownish show" of blood. It is not spotting, nor is it heavy. It is intermittent through the day and by no means constant. I have slight discomfort. Does this appear familiar for IB?

It could be implantation bleeding. Is it around the time of AF? Take a test in a few weeks to find out.

It is so interesting reading everyone's posts on this topic.

I just wanted to share what I have experienced. I have one beautiful son who is 4yrs now and honestly with him we didn't even ttc. We just suddenly decided and BOOM I had a positive hpt just before by next period was due (about 2 days before), no implantation bleeding NOTHING!

We have currently been trying for our second for 13 months now and everytime I had all the prego symptoms (I think it was all in my head because I wanted it sooo much) but NO BABY, NO POSITIVES.

Last month I was so sure I was prego that I bought an early hpc and it was negative, I was so disappointed.

We didn't give up and so this month we tried again and the hpt showed positive but I got my period on my due date and bled for the normal amount of days. Of course I rushed to my doctors and explained the situation..... he told me that STRESSING about being pregnant or not can have adverse effects on you body and this period is just implantation bleeding. Therefore.... I am pregnant BUT I had a full length normal period called implantation bleeding.

Sometimes implanation bleeding can so be confused with a period (like me),,,,, So for all of the want to be mums please don't give up hope and just get checked out by Dr. before you dismiss any bleeding as a period!!

Also just another thing, apparently it gets harder to concieve as you get older. With my first my husband and I were 24 years old now we are 30... We were so disappointed until this month becaue we NEVER had to try for our first. This time it took us 13 months!! I guess you appreciate it more when you try for it. I AM SO EXCITED THAT i WANT MY BUMP TO START SHOWING ALREADY.

Good luck to every single one of you that are trying!! I hope you all get the BUMP you prey for :)

Shazz, I don't want to think negative, but I would get a second opinion on what your doc. told you. If you had a POSITIVE hpt, and THEN started bleeding, there is no way your bleeding is implantation bleeding. Inorder for your hpt to come up positive, implantation would have had to occure already. That is when the HCG starts being produced to be detected by an HPT. I had the same thing. Positive hpt, and blood test, and got my AF a week later. Well, it was a m/c. It stinks, but it happens. If it is implantation bleeding, I am happy for you, but just be causious. It sounds a little weird to me. Good luck

my answer is more like a question. I am fifteen days into my cycle and am spotting light pink/barely red - i am usually so regular that for this to be af is too soon. so what i am wondering is - could this be implantation bleeding???

Dune, unless you have a really short cycle, I doubt it is implantation bleeding. Sometimes womans ovaries bleed when you ovulate, that happened to me once. So it is possible that is what it was. Mary, I had light bleeding w/ my first pregnancy. It is completely normal. Especially if you went to the doctor and they told you everything was find. your uterus is very sensitive during this time, and there is extra blood flow to support the baby, so it is not unusual to bleed lightly during ealry pregnancy. If it woud turn into a heavy, period like flow w/ cramps, then I would start to worry that something was wrong. Otherwise, I wouldn't stress about it too much.

Hi Tammy, I did take in your advice and went to another doctor for a second opinion, done a blood test yesterday and got the results today- I am Pregnant. I know that it doesn't sound right but who's to argue with nature, With my first child I didn't have anything of the sort, And with this one, honestlt if we weren't actively ttc I would've dismissed the blleeding for a period as I had all my usual pms signs and bleed for the normal duration and normal flow. So confusing but everything is normal and I CAN'T WAIT :)

Name: mari | Date: Jun 20th, 2006 6:25 PM
Tammy276: Thank you for your advice. It did make me feel better, but on sunday I had what they called a complete miscarriage.

Name: dune | Date: Jun 20th, 2006 6:59 PM
Tammy276 you were right - I called my doctor's office and they said the same thing - that it was most likely ovulation but it lasted for seven days - which I find kind of strange - we actually had to go through ivf to get pregnant and have a 3 year old daughter who will be 4 next month. I had my right tube removed because of pid and the changes of us conceiving with one tube are pretty slim. But I am the eternal optimist and hope that it will happen some day. Thanx

hi everyone this is my first time on the forum, i am a mum of 5 beautiful children and have been trying for over 2yrs to have baby number 6. both my husband and i have had our fertility tested and i am fine but my husbands sperm test came back low. this is why the drs think it is taking so long for us to get pregnant this time around but hey he has already fathered 5 children and whos to say his sperm count wasnt low then. we have been told to just keep trying but like all of you on this forum it is so heart breaking every month waiting to see if we accomplished our greatest goal in life. but i do have a word of advice for all those women trying so desperately for their own little miracles, from a spiritual point of view i believe that our babies choose us as their parents to love and nurture them and they also choose their time of conception, so in letting go of the control and leaving it up to our unborn children to decide the right time takes the pressure off us every month. instead of constantly driving ourselves crazy each and every month maybe we need to let go and trust in our little ones to just come to us when the time is right for them....
