Has anyone seen ads for The Baby Borrowers? It doesn't seem to deal much with pregnancy but will focus more on the child-rearing side of things.

I thought it wa about teen couples who are thinking about having a baby, and they get to take care of someone else's baby to see what it's like and hopefully change their minds and wait to have a baby.

i dont think i would want to just hand my child over to a teen couple who knows nothing about caring for a child...NOT being iggnorant to any teen moms...but i dont think i could just hand my dd off to ANY one who doesn't know something about parenting...i would be scared that something would happen to her...where do they get the parents willing to "share" their children for this?

I don't know but I'm SURE the producers and the camera men and everyone around when this is filming would stop them if they were about to put the baby in danger or were doing something horribly wrong you know what I mean?

Hahaha, I'm a teen mom and I wouldn't even put my daughter in the hands of a couple of teenagers!! :P

I definitely wouldn't put my own child in that kind of situation - teens or not, camera crew or not, I'm not comfortable with a stranger caring for my baby. I do, however, think it's an interesting idea. I'm all for giving someone who's thinking about having children a reality check. I had my first at 32, I taught preschool for years, desperately wanted a baby for years, and I was still a little knocked on my ass my parenthood!

That should be "..by parenthood," not "my parenthood." Sheesh, I hate it when I don't proofread!

i saw something similar on the tyra show she had a teen mom let a teen girl who wanted to get preg care for her child it was insane...the "teen who wanted the baby" couldnt handle it and kept saying my child WONT be like this i know it...it was so sad so even given the chance to see what it was like didn't teach her anything

Well the parents go to monitor them atleast. i think it is a good idea, it will probably drop some teen pregnancy rates, you really don't realize how much work it is until you experience it.

I saw something about this on another NBC show like Today or Dateline where they interviewed one of the mom's who's lending her baby to a teen on the show. She said she was a teen mother with her first baby and felt an obligation to help the cause, so that's why she did it. I think she was on the set the whole time, and she's even in part of the filming from how the preview looked. But to each her own I suppose...I couldn't do that myself.

did anyone see how that mom was all rude to the one girl? lol. i don't know about you guys but i'd have to say i would feel the same way and want to act like that if they did anything wrong, i only have one so i'm so protective. i wonder if that was her first to.

I actually think that this is a really good way to prepare teens for whats to come...I hope next time they decide to have sex they'll be protected. It was neat to see that some of the guys really stepped up! I think that this is a great show that I hope teens will watch!

I watched that show for the first time last night, it was pretty interesting. I thought it was funny how bent out of shape some of the girls got after 1 day, and how the ones that stayed home needed a break while the ones that worked felt the same way. I'm like "it's just one day, you can't be that tired yet." But honestly i think they need to add a few more chalanges like, having to do 5 loads of laundry and clean the house. Also they need to be in like a 1 bedroom apartment b/c if any of those couples were to have a baby that would be all they could afford not a 3 bedroom house with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances.

i have to say you will never know how much work it is until you actually become a parent. i used to sat oh i would never let my baby cry it out aww the poor cute thing but now i know there's no choice sometimes lol.
