Is it labor?

I should begin by saying that this is my third child. With the last two pregnancies I was well into labor when regular doctor's visits revealed to me that it was indeed "time". With that said I can never tell (because of a high pain tolerance) what is real labor and what isn't. Right now I am almost 34 weeks. My last daughter was born at 36 weeks. Last night I timed contractions for two hours at 3-4 minutes apart. I was able to sleep through them. Today they seem to be more like 4-5 minutes apart. I have tons of pelvic pressure all the time so that doesn't really indicate anything different to me. No bleeding or anything. I keep sitting here at work waiting for a definite sign that I should call or go in, but so far just more of the same. Should I wait it out? Could these be just regualr braxtons? They seem to have increased since having intercourse yesterday afternoon. You would think after three babies I would know by now! Any insight is appreciated!

I would call your doctors and at least let them know what's going on. If you have a history of premature labors and a high pain tolerance, they may just want to check you out to make sure you're not. I had many braxton hicks but none that were consistently 3-4 minutes apart for a couple hours. Give them a call and let us know what happens. Good luck!
