Is it possible to miss seeing Twins at 7.5 weeks ultrasound

I went to get an ultrasound at 4.4 weeks due to pain and then the results were sent to the OB/GYN who is attending me and he said that they MIGHT of seen twins. When I went the girl who did the ultrasound was an intern but she was being supervised by another tech. The second time the Tech didn't really look as much as the first one and she didn't really look around for anything she just focused on the baby in sight. Faternal twins do run in my mom's side my grandma had a boy and girl. Also I know every pregnancy is different but so far none of my sisters have had morning sickness and I do I have it all day long also I am very tired and hungry and have really sore breast I wake up in the night cause I feel sick and uncomfortable. I guess my question is when is the latest you found out you were having twins and did this happen as well where they see them then they don't thanks
