| Answer: KOLLEEN - girl I can only imagine how scared you are right now .....I have battled my demons as well with prescriptions drugs and alcohol.....that is how I even found this site I googled drinking alot before knowing pregnant.....and it brought me here and I read the post and some girls were judgemental and mean and others were very supportive but I still worry - I wasn't trying to get preggers this time so I had a few glasses of wine nightly - which is well ALOT - but so far so good my baby is healthy and I am grateful to God everyday I can't wait to meet her and see her sweeet face.....and remember Greater is HE that is in YOU than he that is in the world!! You are an overcomer and I have confidence that you will be a terrific mother and amaze even yourself! HUGs to you girl I can't wait for us to post our stories! xoxoxox = |

| Answer: Girls i have been suffering so badly today with heartburn i dont know what else to do nothing i mean nothing works.. ive taken everything and they work for a while n then it just fades. My Dh doesnt want me taking so much of it but its just so irritable.. ugh! and ive been having so much pressure today when i walk i feel pinches in my vagina.. and pressure on my ribs n when she moves i just feel like a gush of something is going to come out but nothing.. = |
| Answer: Tina- thanks for your words. i can really use them right now. my dh is not understanding that i need him with me right now. he told me he would be off early today so i got my hopes up thinking he would be here this afternoon. but hes not. hes still at work. i feel so much right now. im hurt im scared im nervous and i cant stop crying. why are men so insensitive when you need them to be the opposite. he tells me that he has to work so much to pay the bills which is true, but he knows how God works. he can be with his wife who is about to give birth for a couple hours right? i guess not. then he wants to get upset at me. God im so frustrated right now. im so scared to go into labor and people keep telling me its going to be a\lright and to stop freaking out. i hate being told that. i dont think anyone should tell a pregnant women that. LOL!!!! in 12 hours they are starting the iv. IM GONNA BE A MOM TOMORROW AND IM SCARED TO DEATH!!! sorry im just having a moment. = |
| Answer: KOLLEEN - it's totally understandable...it's very nerve wracking thinking about giving birth. Men just don't get it and I don't think they ever will.... I have so much going on right now and I can't sleep thinking of everything going on....I am pretty stressed when I just want to relax and have my baby.....Just forgive your husband I know he doesn't mean to hurt your feelings - he just doesn't see it. | Answer: Hey everyone...still preggo here too...Cors I'd be soo anxious and nervious if i were you. Kolleen thats so cool that your having your baby too!!! IM sooo jealous of you both. I want to hold Brooklynn sooo very much. Still the same 2 cm 60 % effaced as far as i know...Go back to the doctors on Thursday. soo YAY hopefully more progression then. | Answer: Kolleen, I know we haven't talked in just about forever but I have been following the July mommies and just wanted to give you some words of encouragement although there are no words that will completely take away the anxiety or the fear. Just know that God is with you, He will hold you and comfort you if you ask him to (whether your husband is there to do it or not) He will never give you more than you can handle and despite the fear, the tears, the anxiety, the worry and yes, the pain it truly is soooo worth it in the end. I'm sorry your hubby isn't there for you right now. I know exactly how you are feeling except my hubby was 3000 miles away in Mexico partying at his brother's wedding instead of with me dealing with my labor and the traumatizing experience of my baby's birth. Just remember that men are men and they will always be men. There are some who are the exception but men generally don't know how to deal with emotion, especially seemingly irrational emotion of a pregnant woman. But it isn't their fault, its just how they are. Try and forgive your man for not being and doing exactly as you want/like. Hopefully he is trying his best to help you in the way he knows how (ie: making the money) Anyway, I am babbling now. I truly wish you the best of luck (and you too TINA) I an so excited for the both of you and remember, Kolleen, you don't get merit badges for enduring pain so if you feel you need help (ie epidural or whatever) take it and be proud that you are doing your best to make the experience of bringing your baby into this world the best experience possible. | Answer: KRISSY- yes he is doing what he knows how to do....work. but your right men are men and they deal with things a whole lot differently then we do. i will totally post my delivery when i get home. just pray for me and tina and that we will have easy times. it 1050 and im dying of thirst. becasue i cant drink anything. i took a sleeping pill so hopefully i will get some sleep but i will post on here if i cant. i will post before i go too. thanks for everything you guys have been a great support system. love you all----- soon to be lylees mommie = |

LOL!!! i slept maybe an hr as did my dh. im really nervous right now but i have go. its 430 in the am and im everything i shouldnt be..... hnugry thirsty tired and i have to go poo and i cant. i better not do it while im pushing ill be so embaressed!!! | Answer: Morning omg today is the day.. i couldn't sleep last night as if i were going to have a baby today lol but i just kept thinking about you guys ahhhh im just so excited. Today im going to my doc's hopefully he'll give me good news. I had some contractions yesterday and alot of pressure and movement.. and around 130 i had some liquid come out like if i had pee but it was clear n it didnt smell like anything but im going to let him know that i've been leaking for the past week.. maybe its a good sign that she might come soon. this morning i woke up with alot of pressure i can feel her around my pelvic area..

| Answer: Good morning girls! I can't believe the day has arrived at long last - I can't believe I have to wait until 7pm before I go in! It's going to be a long day - I wonder why they told KOLLEEN nothing to eat or drink - I did not get the same instructions - as far as I know I can eat and drink all day - maybe they will cut me off tonight when I go in weird...LOL .....Krissy I think you said it best when you said what you did - very sweet of you to follow us --- How is llittle miss Sammie doing??? How are you doing??? I am feeling so anxious and excited last night I was crying to Cor and he was like uhhhh why are you crying aren't you happy and I was like well of course but all of these emotions need to escape and crying is the best way I can think of to get them out....soon all this emotional craziness will be over....at least I hope so. | Answer: Hi! I guess I don't have that issue on my computer. I have a Mac and they are awesome about not getting viruses and stuff. I also don't have all the pop up ads or anything on here which is nice too. TINA, it's only like 8:30am there isn't it? It's 11:30 here...I'm counting the hours for you, lol. I'm wondering how Kolleen is doing? I'm same ol same ol. Dont' think acupuncture did much for me yesterday as I was hoping at least for some cramps or something (I'm going to curse myself later when it does actually happen!)....but nope. I'm for sure going down to the workout room right now since I have a break from work and am walking on the slowest setting while I finish a book I'm reading. It's blisteringly hot outside so this will be relaxing with the a/c and tv on. I'll check back in later! = |
| Answer: I came back from the Doc.. He says i am 1.5 cm open and fully Effaced.. I told him about the "leakage" and when he checked me i started to leak again n some whitish things came out.. He said withen these days i can go to labor.. once i got there i started to have contractions n so much pressure.. he said those were good contractions and if they continue to call him. He wants to see me this friday.. thats in 2 days. And i lost 2 pounds. i was feeling very light-headed and then my heart started to beat very fast.. so lets see what happens i hope i can have my baby girl soon. = |

It's been a while since she posted that she was going to the hospital. TINA, I figured they told her not to eat because I think that is what they do if there is a possibility of c-section? I think because a c-section is considered surgery you are supposed to have an empty stomach, but I'm probably wrong. Are you still hanging in there counting the hours? | Answer: stef- my dr said fast pase walking is better it helps the contractions get going more--which for me both fast & slow have helped if i walked fast my contractions were STRONGER but still didnt do anything for me. who knows (i have like 45 minutes till i leave work for my appt--im excited!!!) = |
| Answer: Good luck TINA!!! Hope you have an easy one! STEF, I wish I could walk that long! But my pubic bone feels like it's been broken in half so I can't even stand very long without hurting. Ugh, and also when I stand my feet start sweeling up and itching??? But it doesn't do it when I'm moving around. I woke up this morning with some contractions, went and pooped, then had to poop again an hour later (it was very soft) TMI, BUT the conctracitons continued, and they hurt all over, not just on the bottom, I started feeling like I'm high on something, like running around the house and doing stuff. Then my dh got home for lunch and kept looking at me with this concerned look on his face, like -- you're in labor! I was in so much pain, so he left but kept asking if I'm ok, so I was like -- yeah, I'm fine, I'll call you if something happens. So of course he didn't go back to work because it really seemed like that was it, BUT MURPHY'S LAW IS A B!TCH, and everything stopped :((((( = |
| Answer: Elena, I was going to say that totally sounds like labor to me! Damn, I must be far off because I'm having nothing like that at all. I almost hope for some soft stools or something going on. KENDRA, I tried to walk faster but my heartrate gets up too high. I don't think that is good for the baby. When I tried to walk over a snail's pace my heartrate shot up to 130 bpm and anything over 140 is bad for the baby. I'm totally out of shape because I didn't do any exercise at all this whole pregnancy. TINA, just wanted to see how you are feeling? I figure you are busy getting things ready before you go. = |

I am so tired I can't believe it I think I will take a nap since i have 4 hours before I have to leave and I didn't sleep very well last night......I heard from KOLLEEN - she got there they sent her home then she went back and as far as I know she is still there ....I was at my doctor for 2 hours for a pre-induction check up - i am at 3cm I can't believe it.....he said he will most likely just skip the cervadil and hook me right up to pitocin......JULIA - how exciting is that you just might go into labor first!! HILLARY - I had both of my boys 2 days before my due date it wasn't so bad.....well girls I believe I am ready for my nap! = |

| Answer: Ok girls they broke KOLLEEN's water at about 130 our time (WEST COAST) she has gotten her epidural and the doctors say she may deliver as early as 7pm.....I will text whoever I have a phone number for to keep you all posted she is going to send me pictures too....I am gettnig antsy now I can't believe it's almost time 2 hours to go and I will be getting hooked up etc....I am so excited I won't be taking my laptop but I hope someone can post for me from the texts.....My doctor is planning to skip the cervadil step since I am already dilated to 3cm so I might have her in the middle of the night or early tomorrow morning like my other 2 one was born at 1020am and one was born at 839am my hair is done and I am going to go ahead and put my face on LOL I know it's silly but even day old make up is better than none..LOLOL hugs to you all and thank you all for always being there for me! | Answer: TINA, can't wait to hear your story!!! 3 cm is great!!! STEF, I think this is happening because this is my second (well, fourth, but second full term) pregnancy, I've heard that this happens the second time around. With my first I didn't have ANYTHING like this happen, I had that first painful contraction and knew I was in labor, and I was right, had my daughter 13 hours later, but this time around I've been having really painful contractions, frequent stools, e.t.c. for about 2 weeks now off and on and NOTHING, I'm not even dilating that good. It just starts off really strong -- a lot of pain, back ache, discharge, frequent stools and then gets less and less intense and 2-3 hours later it's gone :( = |
| Answer: ladies- well i got to my ob waiterd 15 minuets then the POWER WENT OUT; i was pissed but they still seen me they called me back probably 425 and did my urine fine, weight the same, bp was 117/78, hb was 136 then i waited for dr she finally came in 30 minutes later checked me 3cms dialted & 75% enfaced ((i think she stripped my membranes she was in there a while (lol) )) 20 minutes after leaving there office contractions started (were about 15 minutes apart;;; now they are about 8-6 so hopefully) this is the real deal for me. hehe who knows ill wait it out n see = |

KENDRA, sounds like you are having more consistent progress than you have in the past so KEEP WALKING! I hear if it is the real thing, then walking helps it move along. My walking isn't doing anything because, well, I'm not near labor I suppose, LOL! HILLARY I totally know your feeling...I want so badly to meet my baby girl that it hurts. I'm so anxious for my appt. tomorrow to hear what my doctor says that I probably won't sleep tonight. I really am feeling that she'll check me though and say I've not progressed and that she wants to wait till my due date next week. Well, another coworker just called to "see how I'm feeling" because the other girl is on her way to her dr's because they think her water broke! How crazy is that? She may be having her little girl today! I'm like "nope, still just waiting here" lol... = |

| Answer: Hey girls!!!! STEF, my due date is the 11th, I can't believe your co-worker went before me!!!! Or you to that matter! No contractions today, nothing. Not even frequent poopies...so I'm starting to think that I need to stop hoping for it to happen now and just wait till my due date to wear myself out. I went for a crazy fast walk yesterday. My little girl was playing in the water sprinklers with dh while I sweated like a horse, but it didn't get me anywhere, as you can see. Anyone hear anymore from Tina??? = |
| Answer: Just what Hillary posted a couple of hours ago...I'm thinking that she will have her baby very soon or in the next few hours? Do you guys know how long exactly you stay in the hospital for a vaginal and csection? I mean, I know that here it is 2 days for vaginal birth and 3 for a csection, but I don't know if that is 2 nights (vaginal) or one night? I guess it depends on when you have your baby...just wondering. = |
| Answer: ok so Tina just texted me she is 5cm dialated and 50% effaced. They upped her piyocin again she said. Then she said the epidural is the best ever that she is numb to her chest that she cant feel a thing. = |

| Answer: STEF, I stayed 2 nights. The day after the last night there we stayed till about 7p.m., we had to wait for the ped. to come make his rounds at the hospital after his private practice office closed. Yay for Tina!!! = |
| Answer: Stef- Yea Im due on July 4th also! My doctor appointments are usually on Friday, but my doctor is going out of town...so I can't have her this weekend...cross your fingers! I really want my doctor to deliver her cuz he delivered me...so thats so cool. = |

Ok, I have text updates from Tina: At 10:51pm central time she said "Time to rock and roll I am 7 completely effaced feeling lots of pressure". Then at 1:43am I got another text that says "Megan has charlie brown head I am headin for c section will text when I am coherent"....So, I'm sure we will hear news soon when she feels like texting! | Answer: I woke up in the middle of the night with some wicked horrible pain way down low and couldn't sit or lie down till it passed, but I think it was gas really because it didn't come in waves like a contraction would. I've not had this the whole time though. It hurt to sit on the toilet because of the pressure. = |

| Answer: Hi ceecee! Well, I tried to go back to sleep for a bit, but no luck. It seems everyone but me is having the cramps and/or soft poo. I wish I had some indicator of labor, but nothing at all. UPDATE: Kendra texted and she is now at 4cm. That is all she said so I am guessing they will keep her at the hospital since she is there now? I'd love to be told i'm 4cm today too, but I would think I'd feel something if I were that dilated, lol :) = |
| Answer: Well hang in there Stef. You are 39 weeks? I am getting tired of being pregnant. I didn't think it was possible, but I am. I feel guilty reading about how to safely begin labor though, because I am only in my 38th week. Everything I have read says not to try anything until you are past 40 weeks. So have people said that the cramps and poo are signs of approaching labor? What have you been feeling? = |
| Answer: Yes, I've been reading that menstrual type cramps and loose stools are some big signs of impending labor! It sounds promising :) I haven't had much at all. I have been 1cm dilated at my past 2 appointments and the baby has dropped a bit more each time. I find out today if I've progressed more. I'm 39 weeks today so who knows? I don't honestly think any things that start labor really will work unless your body and baby are ready. My dr. has been planning to induce me a week early because of blood thinners I'm on (she needs me to stop the meds 24 hours before labor)....anyways I will findout today if she still is going to do that or not. Since I've known she may do that I figured it wouldn't hurt to try some things this past week. I did sex, walking, squats and that's pretty much it and nothing helped --oh, acupunture too. I haven't tried really hard though and won't do anything like castor oil or blue or black cohosh. Herbal stuff, huh-uh. I feel some cramps today and yesterday, but they feel more like intestinal/bowel type stuff and not uterine, you know? Well, I'm going to work a bit and then shower. I'll post back about my appt. in a while! = |

| Answer: I had my doctors appt this morning. im 38 weeks and 2 days and they did not check me. They asked if i was having any contractions and im not. i get them here and there during the day but nothing constint. He thinks Alyssa will be a 8 1/2 to 9 pounds... I was all then do something to help me get her out so she does not grow any more :) Next week they will check me and if dilated at all they said if i want they will sweep my membranes so we will see.. He told me have sex or go for a walk. I told him i was doing that but im going to do it more this weekend and go get that massage that my friend thinks might help so we will see. Oh and i didnt gain any weight which im proud of because i have already gained like 50 pounds = |

| Answer: OMG, I can't believe that half of us July mommies already have their babies!!!! STEF!!!! Intestinal type cramping is a GREAT sign! The intestine is wrapped around the lower part of the uterus, I read, and the cramping can stimulate contractions. I also read that you can distinguish false labor from the real thing by the contractions feeling like an intestinal upset. I think you are VERY close!!! The whole bowel/intestinal goes together hand in hand with uterine contractions, that's why you start having soft frequent stools. GOOD LUCK. I'm 38 weeks today and had a few painful contractions, but they went away after I ate. So nothing for me, lol. = |

| Answer: I wish that things would progress more for me. My doctor is going out of town from around July 2 or 3 to July 7th. My due date is the 13th, and I am so nervous that I will go into labor while she is gone. I wish I would go in this weekend. I don't know if she will stay in my tummy the entire week of the 4th. = |

I have felt my baby drop, I can even tell by looking at my belly. It is so much lower than a few weeks ago. I so hope I give birth by 40 weeks., I am so done being pregnant and cannot wait to met my little one!!!! :) = |

| Answer: Hi girls! Well back from the doctors and I'm just so disappointed right now I feel like crying. I guess I got my hopes up....she didn't even do the u/s that she told me she was going to do. She checked my cervix and I'm still the freaking 1cm I've been for 3 weeks. No progress so she doesn't want to schedule induction without more signs from my body that it is ready. She told me to come back next Tuesday and she'll check again and do the u/s then. She said she may schedule me for next week but possibly the week after. I about wanted to scream when she said that b/c it's 1. past my due date and 2. will miss my whole sister's visit (she's not been home in 4 years and she will be here next Wed. thru Sunday)....i can't believe it. Sorry for being a gripe, but I'll check in later. = |

Mari- That's great you have felt your baby drop. 36 weeks was around the time I felt my baby drop too. You can breath so much better. But you have to pee like a race horse, and for me it's uncomfortable to sit for a long time, and then walk. = |
