haha yeah we're been EXTRA chatty this month. I can drive I just don't have my own car. And my husband works too far away (a half hour) to drive him there and then come back here so I can have the car for the day and then drive all the way back there to pick him up and then come back... it just wouldn't make sense especially with the new gas prices. So yeah, I get so bored sometimes hahaha but luckily I have a few places we can walk to. And we always go somewhere on my husbands 2 days off. ↑
Wow, everyone was pretty chatty! Last night at around 1 am both Taylor and I woke up and started throwing up. I stopped late this afternoon, but I just got Taylor to go to bed and I hope she's done. It was worse for her than me. She was throwing up while she was sleeping, so there was little to no sleep being done between teh two of us throwwin gup. I will catch up on everyone else soon! ↑
Oh thats horrible!! I hope you guys are feeling better today but it will probably take a couple days to recover. Did I tell you guys what Jim's present for Fathers Day was - well actually, its fathers day, birthday, our 5 year wedding anniversary, and every holiday for the rest of the year??? are you ready?................a trip to COSTA RICA this October!! Staying at the Four Seasons!!!! Can't wait guys! Kaitlyn will be staying with my mom.. ↑
I'm SO upset right now. SOOO upset. Abby just bit Jo TWICE. On the wrist and on the finger. So I picked Jo up and I said to Abby "Jo's not going to be able to play with you anymore if you keep doing this." And my mother-in-law got SOOOOO mad at me and she was like "You have to understand, she doesn't know what she's doing. She's only 2 1/2 she doesn't understand!" I DON'T CARE. That does NOT make it okay! You can't get mad at me for wanting to be cautious!!!! And I'm sorry but bullshit, a 2 1/2 year old... I think she has SOME sort of understanding. ↑
I wouldn't care if this little girl was only 8 months old or something and CLEARLY had no idea what she was doing, I don't care, still doesn't mean I'm going to keep letting my child get bitten over and over and over, everyone is acting so offended that I feel this way. How can anyone blame me for wanting to be cautious!? ↑
I am feeling better today! After looking at that post, I had no business being on the computer (horrific typing going on!). Taylor is not even out of bed yet. She has not thrown up since last night, but you know how it feels after heaving for so long - your body ACHES! GURINSA - COSTA RICA! I will go there one day! We have never gone on a honeymoon or an alone vacation (yes, we've been together going on 10 years!). But, I have big plans for once the kids get a little older. IMPATIENT - Okay, I have a 2 1/2 almost 3 year old and that would not be tolerated - period! Connor won't be 3 until September so he is a little more than 2 1/2, but at no time would he have ever been allowed to bite without serious consequences. There have been times that both boys will play too rough and want to play with Samantha that way too (she can put up with a lot) but there is a point where I do draw the line and say to them,"If you are going to play that way, you will not be allowed to play with her." It is your job to protect Jo from getting hurt and if that means not letting them play together when Abby is going through this stage, then so be it. You are only trying to keep Jo from getting hurt. What did Jo do when Abby bit her? If it was Samantha she probably would have hit her! But that's just my little bully! ↑
Abby bites HARD and she latches on for a long time, it's not just a quick bite. My mother-in-law has HORRIBLE bruises all over her from Abby biting her. When Abby bent down I saw Jo all of a sudden open her eye REALLY wide and I just knew she was biting her so I got Abby off of her and I saw the 2 different bite marks and Jo started crying and crying, I took her downstairs and gave her her binkie but she was still really cranky after that until her nap time. I'm just upset that my mother-in-law seems to be mad at me and doesn't understand where I'm coming from. I mean does SHE just want to sit by and watch her granddaughter get bitten over and over and over? She shouldn't! Abby is VERY smart and I KNOW she knows biting is wrong and I know she knows to a certain extent what she is doing, if my mother-in-law doesn't want to think that because she thinks she's "just a baby" then so be it, I won't argue with her about that, but how can she be mad at me about caring about the fact that Jo is getting hurt? How can she blame me for REALLY wanting to be cautious now that this has happened 3 times, all for NOOOO reason. That's what upsets me the most. I said I wanted to put ice on her wrist and my mother-in-law said "it's THAT bad?" as Jo is screaming, I was like YES, YES IT IS. I mean does she not realize she herself has horrible bruises all over her from Abby? ↑
Imp.. that is terrible.. it sounds to me that she has no punishment for biting. Kids do things like that but you need to teach them that is not right.. if your MIL puts up with it then abby is going to think that is ok... and it is not. Poor Jo... Momtbc.. did you cough on me though the computer cuz I REALLY think I have a touch of the flu. Started feeling really sick last night while mowing and ripping out the carpet in our house.. and thought sleeping would help.. wrong, woke up and still feel ill. I am trying to get through work here but just hanging in there. THIS SUCKS. I am one that does not throw up easily... so prob prolong this whole thing. I am going back on my probiotics.. called pearls... They are supposed to help and when I was pregnant I took probiotics religiously and was not really sick that much. sigh... this sucks! I have a HUGE purse party tomorrow night I CANT miss... not getting sick... not getting sick... not getting sick..... Costa Rica... wow.. that sounds wondeful. With me quitting work and staying home our vacations are going to be coming to a hault. It will be worth it though. So... say a little prayer... DONT WANT THE FLU!!!!!!!!! JUNE FLU... WHAT! ↑
PEBBLES - I hope that's definitely not what you have. Could it be what you're doing in your house? When we ripped up the carpet at our old house, I got very sick from the dust in the air. Hope you feel better soon. I am pretty sure it's a stomach bug and not something we ate. Last week, Blake threw up and was a little sick. On Monday, Samantha threw up and slept a lot. Then, we got it. I am hoping Chris and Connor don't get it. Connor does projectile vomitting and has no control. Chris acts like he is dying and should be in the hospital and I'm not really up for that! Hope everyone else avoids this! ↑
Thanks.. momtbc... I hope it is not the flu either. I started feeling ill after eating lunch.... but got worse later last night.. I had a chicken salad with TOMATOES... then I heard about this salmonila outbreak.... yikes. I am trying the flat coke, white rice and oatmeal. we'll see. Just give my belly a rest. I am glad to hear that it comes and goes fast... but hope it never does come! Not sure if it has anything to do with the carpet and mowing.. but thinking it is more my tummy acting up. Going to the pharmacy in a bit and getting some probiotics to tide me over until I get my pearls in the mail . Oh.. life.. I HATE BEING SICK.. but it goes on... My husband is the same way as Chris. You would think he was DYING!!!!!!!!! ↑
I act fine when I'm sick but if it has anything to do with throwing up, I also act like I'm dying. haha I'm serious I act like it is the end of the world and something REALLY serious must be wrong with me haha ↑
I always say that I would take a MONTH of a terrible cold.... versus ONE DAY of throwing up.. hence me NOT throwing up and holding it down as much as I can. I HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just ate some white rice and coke with salt in it... actually has settled my stomach and the nausea is getting better. Hopefully it is leaving my system through other means than throwing up... if you know what I mean. ↑
Hi all, we are chatty this month...I clicked on the New June Babies thread and thought, I do not recognize these names...wrong thread haha. Well I am finally going to the doctor today, finally made an appointment for myself this time. I have been not feeling well for over a month...it all started the day of Brooke's birthday. I have been almost passing out and it will happen sometimes 2 or 3 times a day...not really sure what is going on. I felt for sure last month I was preggers just because I felt so rotten and would get lightheaded and throw up...well it has just gotten worst. Last night I was cooking supper and had to lay down on the kitchen floor. I had issues a about 7 years ago with this and finally found out that I had a mass on my thyroid that I had to have removed. So I only have half a thyroid and I have never been on any medicine because it was working properly but now I am wondering if that is what the problem is....I am hoping its something simple like that, say a little prayer for me that is not something serious...I should have went long before now, but its hard taking off time for work when I knew I was going to need to be off for Brooke. ↑
PEBBLES- I'm the same way!!!! I hate throwing up, it makes me panic. I really will have a panic attack when I throw up, it's crazy. JENDEAN- I'm sorry you haven't been feeling good for so long. I'll keep you in my prayers that it's nothing serious. Let us know when you find out! ↑
Jendeen.. I know how it is to feel ill and not know why. I did for years until I found out I have celiacs... an intolerance/allergy to wheat products. I ate wheat all the time.. acutally when I found out I kept eating wheat.. denying that could be it. Now that I stopped (except for the occational splirge like this weekend... hence ANOTHER reason why I think I feel sick today) eating wheat I do feel better. Need to get strict again and do a two week cleanse. Chicken, rice, beans, veggis and fruits..... that is IT.. no caffene nothing. I need to just set a date and do it... I feel like CRUD today to so I feel for you hon. Please let us know what you find out. Prayers are being sent up! Imp... you and I would not do well having the flu together.. I can just see it now. I am terrible... HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT.... I will SERIOUSLY hold it in.... when you finally do you feel better when you are done.. but it is the point working up to it... and doing it. I sooo could not be bilemic... ↑
Gosh I got on this morning and posted but I don't see it! MOMTBC, PEBBS, and JENDEAN I really hope you guys feel better soon! UGH the throwing up man, I wouldn't wish that on anyone EVER! That food poisoning was horrible, it had been a long time since I threw up before then. GURINSA - Costa Rica!!! I'm so jealous! One of these years me and DH need to take our honeymoon and all those places came up. I know he's interested in like a cruise that'll stop at a good number of places. I couldn't care either way, just sitting on a beach and exploring the culture would be awesome for me. IMP - That should definately not be tolerated, 3 times now? I would be very upset. Our 1 years olds understand much more than we give then credit for so a 2 1/2 year old should. I know from when I worked at the large daycare they are very smart at that age, rebellious yes, but smart. Your in a tough spot tho, living with them right now, but I'd definately try to bring it up. ↑
Oh my goodness! Girls... listen to this story. It's ALL over the news over here. This high school that's in a town like a half hour away from me has SEVENTEEN pregnant girls all under the age of 16! When school officials tried to figure out why there were so many pregnant girls one of them confessed that they all made a pact together to get pregnant at the same time and to raise their babies together! Then the rest of them confessed and they were saying how some of them used HOMELESS MEN to get pregnant! How crazy is this?????? ↑
Okay, Samantha is not fully walking, but we've made a breakthrough! She will walk with me having one hand in front of her belly and one hand behind her back. Not really touching, but close enough she knows it's there. She walked all over the kitchen that way. Then, I tried moving the front hand away and she immediately sat down. When I moved the back hand, she kept going. I think it's a confidence thing right now and hopefully she will get over it soon because it's killing my back! haha! ↑
Ever since Jo woke up she's been acting like she's teething. I always know because it's just a certain way she acts, it's a certain kind of cranky. Sure enough, she's getting her 7th tooth! Finally another one on the bottom! She has 4 on top already and this one is next to her bottom 2. Let's hope a whole bunch more decide to show up and we can get them all out of the way! ↑
OMG... I read about that story with the girls... how crazy and it sounds like there would have been more but some girls did not get pregnant. Those poor babies. I know some girls can do it.. they can still educate themselfs and raise their babies.. but these girls have taken away their innocence and the best young years of their life. Those babies... man. It is just sad. I do have to laugh thought.. thinking about he homeless men.. they were prob like.. what is with all these 15 year olds wanting sex??? I hope they did not contract any diseases... Those girls don't realize what is coming in their life. So.. today I am feeling better.. stomach is sore but not nausious... so that is better. I have a big party tonight and then tomorrow we are heading to my inlaws farm. Just a time to relax. Haven't done that in a while. If you gals can get streaming radio through your computer.. you HAVE to listen in the afternoon to this radio station. FM 107.1 out of the Twin Cities (mpls). It is HILLARIOUS. Talk radio but these gals are soo funny! Anyway. Gotta run. Momtbc.. hope you are feeling better. Jendeen I am soo thinking of you and wondering how your test results came out. Imp.. how is Jo today.. marks there from the biting.. Britt... how you feeling? ↑
PEBBLES- Glad you're feeling better!!! Jo has a bite mark on her finger but the one on her wrist is completely away because at that point I believe I pushed the little girl out of the way after pulling her off Jo hahaha. But Jo's teething so she's cranky because of that, her 3rd tooth on the bottom has popped through. 7 total, yaaaay! So you're going to your in-laws farm? That sounds like fun! I'm dying to get Jo out of the house! Yesterday I took her on 3 different walks! haha ↑
Imp.. good thing another tooth has come through.. can you IMAGINE how bad that hurts?? Amazing what these children can handle for pain. Jenna has two through on top and bottom.. she won't let me inspect.. but I think she has the ones next to them on each side coming in. We are going to the farm. They used to have cows and that was fun but they sold them. So now it is just the tractors, combines and stuff. Jackson loves to run through bumpas garden... if you can imagine a garden soo big you plant with a tractor!!! It is a HUGE "garden". They also farm a TON of acres of land.. but bumpa's garden is fun. The kids can just run around and be kids!!! ↑
IMP - I totally read that article before I got on here, it reminded me of when I was in high school. We had the highest pregnancy rate in the state (Michigan,) a small town beat Detroit, Grand Rapids... thats horrible. Someday those girls will grow up and realize that wasn't quite the time to do things like that. Guess what!!!! I went to Target yesterday and got back around 4pm, just me and Lexi enjoying ourselves. I was getting her a drink, potty then I was gonna lay her down for a nap. Lexi likes running when you tell her come here or come on lets go get a drink or potty so she crawled fast to the gate that goes upstairs where the bedrooms are. DH looked down and said "Hey!" I about flipped. He left no trail (as he usually does) even took his shoes up there, haha! I'm always thinking ok I hope no ones in here, I'm sure I locked all the doors and I wasn't even worried this time, had no clue he was so quiet! He came home early and hasn't left for Iraq today so definately won't now as its 11am. Needless to say no nap for Alexea and she was a grump but acted a little funny with him. She immediately went to him and layed on his chest, then kept sitting up and stairing at him, it was so cute. But after about 15 minutes she broke down and just started screaming and I was sitting next to them and she leaned over and was crying on me but still laying on him. She was ok after that and got down and kept playing with toys and calling to him to watch her. So happy he's home : ). I got the kiddie pool out for her today she totally enjoyed it I even got in with her, I took some pix and will put them on my site if anyone wants to see them. ↑
Aww britt. thats so cute! Glad you got a great suprise today!! I gave Kaitlyn one of her bday presents early today - her kiddie pool - she LOVES it!!! She hasn't gotten in yet (I was too lazy to put on her swim diaper and suit) but she was splashing around big time!! Then a HUGE bee landed on the side and I totally grabbed her and ran in. I HATE HATE bees!! I hope all of you girls that are sick feel better really soon!! JENDEAN..thinking of you!!!! IMP..what a terrible situation those girls have created. I can't even imagine having had a baby before I was 30 let alone 16!!! Its just too hard mentally and physically!!!!!!!!!!!! ↑
BRITT- Was he supposed to leave for Iraq today? Is he still going or is it that he just doesn't know when now? I was confused, sorry! haha I looked at the picture, WOW, that is a SUPER fun looking pool Alexea has! Love it! I love how she's just holding the hose with the water coming out, Jo would NEVER, it takes her awhile to get used to it before she's comfortable in the water but even then I don't think she'd play with the hose like that! Okay, I have a few questions for everyone! Anyone else's baby's clothes dirty by the end of the day? I'm not talking about just because of meals but the knees of Jo's pants and the top of her socks are so dirty from crawling around and I'm like what in the wooorld, I wash my floors hardcore once a week and I sweep them nightly! And she gets so dirty, I don't get it. Maybe it just seems a lot dirtier because she does get really messy with every meal she has, most of the tiime her pants don't last after dinner haha after dinner I'm like okaaaay let's just get in PJs. And how is everyone's little ones doing with diaper changes? like 95% of the time Jo is wrestling with me the whole time and she always thinks the diaper change is over when I take her old one off, the second I take it off she flips over and she's OFF haha. She's like SEE YA LATER! It takes soooo long to get a diaper put on her correctly because she's just ALL over the place. ↑
IMP - He was suppose to leave for a short while to Iraq today to take over for someone then they're like oh your going to Desert Talon (Yuma) like two days before he was suppose to leave. So he was suppose to get back on the 20th and leave on the 20th, same day. But the CO of the other base sent them back as they had no more work and didn't want any incidents happening there as there's nothing to do but drink, fortunately DH's shop didn't know he got sent back early and the plane for Iraq left this morning : ). He's still here! Yea with the hose, she was scared of the pool before we left. She would've rather got out and leaned over to play, now shes in and out and loves the hose. With the clothes, omg her socks are awful! Yes our floors are usually clean, not spick and span but clean and it sometimes looks like shes crawling outside cuz shes so dirty! I also have to tackle her some when trying to get a diaper on her. I think I'm going to wait a little longer til I try and go to cotton underwear again, eventually she'll figure it out. ↑
