I have had contractions since Thursday night, it is Sunday now, they come at least every 20 mins, some times 5 sometimes 20, and everything inbetween...I lost what I think was my plug yesterday it had a little bit of blood in it, and more today with no blood...what is going on? Anybody had this, it feels like Im going to be doing this forever! I thought this phase would last a day but not 4! I went to the hospital on Friday cause they were really strong and I wasnt even dialated!! I was almost all thinned out though. I just dont know what to do...oh and Im 7 days overdue!!! I cant be induced because Im trying for a Vbac. Any insight or positive assurance would be appreciated!! ↓
My labor didn't last 4 days i don't think. i was induced though and trust me,let labor come on it's own!My contractions were also very strange,so everyone says. i couldn't even really feel them!! i went to the hospital and got induced the one morning,at night i had no idea if i was in labor. It was my first baby so i wasn't too sure to begin with! I just figured well everybody describes them on a baby story,on tv and people talk about how they are so intense, so i never went into the hospital that night. The next day they were going to do the induction gel again, my doctor checked me first and said i was like 5 cm!! Maybe you're the same as me and just can't really tell. if you lost your plug or saw blood i would definately get it checked out. But your plug can come out days or weeks before labor they say. have you had reallly sticky discharge,that doesn't really look like discharge in like insane amounts( it may even smell a little,mine smelt like bread to me and id on't know why lol) ? That night,that is what happened to me.I think some labors progress slowwlly. it's only 7 days overdue, some women go much longer. i wasn't dilated at all by my due date( and they thought i was a week further along which is why they induced me).Just hang in there. i know it can get fraustrating, but the baby will come when it is ready :) gl. ↑
I was induced with my first and it was so painful!! This time Im getting the same contractions but they are not getting closer but they are here every at least 6-10 minutes...Im just getting so frusterated!! Why would I be having contractions for this long and nothing happening, if they were really irregular it wouldnt be so bad. Im 41 weeks now and they wont let me go much longer without giving me a c-sec...Im so drained emotionally and dont understand why my body is taking so long! ↑
False labor =( My boyfriend's sister went through this for a week before she got induced. I hate to state the obvious but have you tried walking? That really helped my labor. I also did the whole birthing ball thing.
If you are getting a bloody show, though, its a good sign that you may be dialating now and hopefully those contractions will pull together and become regular. Hang in there, mama. I think the end is in sight! If you can stay strong you have every chance of getting the VBAC you want! ↑
tasha have you gotten checked?how dilated are you now? lol i never walked during my labor, i was just uncomfortable to. but i had almost a 10 lb baby!! it sounds like you will go into labor any time now!!good luck. i would try all those silly wives tale methods if you are desperate like rasperry leaf tea,walking etc. none of those really helped me though. i hope they let you go longer if not,keep us updated. ↑
