Laryngomalacia & Breasfeeding

My ds is 5 weeks old and was diagnosed with laryngomalacia when he was a week old. I BF him and out of frustration have started giving him one bottle of expressed BM or formula a day. My frustration stems from our BF experiences every day. Because of his breathing and smaller airway he constantly pulls on and off the breast. He will take maybe 2-3 sucks before he yanks back off the breast and immediately starts rooting again. I have to pull him onto the nipple over and over. As this carries on he becomes more and more frantic and swallows more air causing crazy amouts of gas. It seems like I am constantly burping him. Even when he is latched I can hear him sucking air. He has been putting on weight very well though so that isn't a issue. My question is this: Has anyone BF their lo with this condition? did they behave the same way during a nursing session?
