yep my symtpoms come and go too, one day bbs feel sore without touching next nothing unless I press on them (yeah it looks alittle strange). I haven't had much ms at all but it will just come on out of the blue like, ok everything is normal and then WHAM, where's the bathroom, then gone again. I am now 10.5 weeks and my fatigue is subsiding a little.

Funny! i found this site this morning, cos I realized I hadn't felt any breast tenderness in 2 days and I am 5 weeks. There seems to be a parttern. So I will just wait it out. This is my second and I don't want to rush to the Dr yet

interesting that this thread popped up about now since i've had the same thing happening to me the past couple days...im 8w5d today according to my LMP and I just woke up and didn't feel them hurt at all anymore, the same day I had spotting, imagine my concern! im starting to get that this whole pregnancy thing however is far from a calculated science, heck even the doctors have to guess at a lot of things because theres so many things that are somewhat a mystery! for those of you that are currently in this forum...if you lost breast tenderness around what week did you notice? just curious! :)

I have the same thing. One day my bbs can have sharp searing pains on the sides of them and then next nothing. My breast aren't evenly full either..some days they feel both full and some days they are just normal...it must have to do with the surges of hcg hormones going through the body..I'll even get just some tingling, or tender and sometimes I can't even hug anyone. They've never really hurt bad. I'm only 6 wks and oddly enough my mammory glands or whatever are working on the left one..that's another thing..is it normal? I have "liquid" looks like the first stages of milk..transluscent but not transparent. It's just a drop here and there. I have no m/s either just queezy now again over certain smells and "sights". Very VERy moody and cranky..wow..I even hate myself sometimes.

hehe, over the last few days my breasts had stopped hurting mostly, and i thought it might be okay (and kinda nice) to sleep without the sports bra for a night. Well, long story short, I don't think I'll be doing that again. It brought back the soreness in full force first thing when I woke up! lol

oh yes, that's what happened to me. I've been living in my sports bra and so I thought since I'm not "sore" anymore and I could without it.. Yeah right lol..they are tender again but not painful. They feel more heavy than full...

I am 4 weeks pregnant today after my first cycle of clomid, and have lost breast tenderness this morning, having had painful breasts for the last two weeks. I have also lost that full feeling....really worried asd I misscarried this time last year at 5 1/2 weeks and that was one of the signs...I alled my doctor this morning and she siad that she agreed that it wasnt a good sign, but that it equally could be nothing as some people dont even get tender breasts. She siad all I cuold do was sit tight and wait and see. Has anyone else had this experience and gone on to have a full pregnancy.?Trying to be matter of fact about it all, and be positive no matter what the outcome, but its hard as this really is a much wanted baby.....

Well I see I'm in good company. I am at the end of my 4th week (gestational age) and I too woke up this morning and realized that the sensation of feeling like I was carrying around two bowling balls on my chest was gone. I immediately called my doctor's office and asked for a fetal u/s. Then immediately googled loss of pregnancy symptoms and found you all. I'm relieved somewhat to see that many others have felt the same. I promise to write back next week with some feedback after I have my next scheduled u/s. The drs. office hasn't gotten back to me yet. It's important we all get back to this website if all is well so that future women will see our replies and be able to take some comfort.

So forgot to ask with my last post has anyone experienced loss of breast tenderness that came back and then you had an u/s and all was well?

Name: January | Date: Mar 31st, 2007 10:13 AM
As with all the symptoms of pregnancy, it's normal for them to come and go.. and many won't have any at all.

I haven't had an u/s, but recently, for about 3 days my breast tenderness and fatigue nearly disappeared. They are now back in full force along with a host of other symptoms. I think a fluctuation in symptoms is nothing to be worried about. (A complete disappearance, on the other hand, may be something to worry about.)

ALL my symptoms are severe, morning sickness(all day) , fatigue, nauseated, however- my breast do not hurt as much as they did when I first got pregnant.... I am 9 weeks approx. now and originally they hurt if someone even looked :) now, they just feel fuller a bit but do not hurt like crazy anymore..... Lorie Ann

Well I heard from the pregnancy nurse yesterday and she told me that losing breast tenderness is normal. She told me it is from the fluctuating estradoil in my body. She also said she has probably had about 1000 panicked calls from women over her career witth the same question. I'd say within about 8 hours of waking yesterday my tenderness came back. I must get through my head that this pregnancy is not an exact science. I liken it to riding on a plane...which I don't do well. Every little change in the altitude and engine speed and I'm a nervous wreck. Same with this pregnancy. I have my u/s on Tuesday night. I will get back to this thread to provide an update. If you are reading this and concerned about your loss of breast tenderness, relax, this is one thing you probably don't have to worry overmuch about.

My sister is 8 weeks pregnant, and was worried because she said her breasts aren't as sore anymore, after coming on here and reading what all of you have to say we realize it is more common than we thought, so it kind of a relief.. She is still worried though because she is not as hungry anymore?? is that something that anyone else has experienced? or should it be something she should worry about?

I am now 11 weeks pregnant and I did lose breast tenderness a few times. I've had multiple u/s since that time and all is well. Perfectly normal if there is no cramping or bleeding. The breast tenderness comes and goes. In fact, now that I am going into my second trimester next week, it has changed. It's still tender but not the same way.

how long has it been? My boobs were tender for only about 4-5weeks and then it left but it came back again, symptoms come and go in the first weeks so i wouldn't sweat it.

Hi, I am 7 weeks and my breasts were killing me all weekend and now I barely notice them. I too miscarried about 7 years ago and now I worry about it incessantly. I hope we all have successful pregnancies and end up with very happy stories in the end. God Bless us all.

Hi,

I am glad to have found this website. I am roughly 5 wks pregnant and from the 3rd week until last night, my breast were sore. Today the soreness disappeared and my breasts also seem to have gone lighter. I had a miscarriage two years ago when I noticed that the soreness was the first one to go. It is a relief to hear that this experience is felt by others who have normal pregnancy. Due to see the doctor on 15th Oct and I am hoping and praying that my case is like the others where this is normal.

Hi it's me again just to let you know that at about 6 weeks my symptoms came back quite bad. But at 7 weeks I had spotting and all symptoms completely went. I'm 8 weeks today and have just been for a scan. Really expected bad news but to my surprise a good strong heartbeat and all is ok. Still worried though won't be happy untill I get to 12 weeks. Just shows you never know what's going on and nothing's text book.

I am 6wks and 2 days and last night I lost my breast tenderness. This is pregnancy #4 for me, last 2 ended in m/c and the first symptoms to go where breast tenderness so I am very worried. BUT I was happy that just about everything I smelled this morning made me nauseous! I am having some cramping that I haven't been having so I'm hoping maybe the symptoms are just taking turns??? I hope! I have my first u/s 11/7. Keeping fingers crossed for all of you!

Hi, it's me again. At 5 weeks pregnancy i also had the same experience, i.e. sudden loss of breats tenderness for what felt like a couple of days or so. Then it came back. It seems to vary from one woman to another. Best wishes..

Hi this will be my last update. I'm now 14 weeks and had two scans and all is ok. I think from what I gather symptoms can't be too much to go by. Mine have been up and down all the time and I've had spotting. It is worrying but try not to look into things so much take things a day at a time.

My story is not a happy ending story, but I feel these are important to share. I had a miscarriage in Sept of 07. It was a missed abortion. I had strong morning sickness up until I was about 8.5 weeks, then they started getting better. At about 7-8 weeks I experienced on teeny tiny spot of light brown bleeding and since nothing else occurred I assumed all was ok. At 11 weeks I started bleeding, went for an U/S and they found that the pregnancy had ended at about 7.5 weeks. I found out I was pregnant again in mid-December. At 6.5 weeks I experienced a spot the size and colour of a baby aspirin. The next day I found I felt better than the day before. It is now 2 days later and I am feeling even better and have noticed my breasts are not feeling very tender and I don't feel nearly as bloated as I had a few days prior. I am going in for blood work today and Friday to check levels as well, I have been scheduled for an u/s tomorrow. i will get back on line to let you know how it turns out. i find with these forums, we never find out how it all turns out. My advice to you is if you think you are miscarrying avoid the ER. They cannot help you. I know the unknown is scary... it is really hard not knowing what is going on. The best thing to do is hang tough, call your dr and ask them to scheduled the appts for bloodwork and/or an Ultrasound. It is devasting to miscarry... I know... the thought of it happening again has me in tears every 15 minutes. To any of you experiencing a loss of symptoms - I feel for you, it's hard to take, because we just want to know that everything is ok. If you even suspect things are not progressing, just call your dr and get tested so you can move on.

okay... this is a direct copy/paste of post i put on someone elses thread because I think people need to know this!! even though this thread was started in 1004 people are stil asking this so here it is... dont worry to much about lack of symptoms, they honestly are not a very good indicator of how things are going. some women never get any "normal" symptoms and some get every symptom in the book. also its very normal for your symptoms to come and go so if your breast tenderness starts to go away don't freak out, its normal. also... and this is a bit sad but very true... some women who have what are called missed abortions (when you miscarry but don't know it because you body doesn't expel the baby or any blood or anything) still have symptoms for awhile. I even knew ladies who had D&Cs done to get everything out and still had relatively high HCG levels (so still got positive test results) and still had some symptoms for a while.. until their bodies got back on track. anyway Im not trying to scare you are anything Im just saying dont rely on symptoms as reassurance.. just have faith and try to stay positive. and, if you EVER think anything is wrong talk o your doc or go to the ER. good luck... I hope you have a very happy and healthy pregnancy! -Heather<3

Hi - just updating from my last response. Ok I admit, sometimes loss of symptoms could mean other things. I did not miscarry - I actually found out I'm having twins. Am going for another U/S today as one of the babies had a weak heartbeat. I did however trace my loss of symptoms to my prenatals. I had run out of my prenatals and was taking a lower iron supplement to tide me over. Since then I have actually stopped taking a lot of iron because it was feuling the nausea. It does come and go as well as breast tenderness - however at almost 8 weeks they don't feel much different than a mild PMS tenderness. So in my case I had one unhappy ending to loss of symptoms and one (so far) better story. So the best course of action is to get in for an u/s if you are unsure... and you never know you could find out you have 2 babies instead of 1!

Hi ladies! I came here today because it turns out that I have the same issue as most of the people here! I am 5.5 weeks pregnant and had a loss of breast tenderness beginning yesterday. After having a miscarriage two months ago, I completely came unglued! However, aside from reading this board, I also contacted the advice nurse at my doctor's office. She explained that once your HCG numbers reach about 10,000 mIU, the rate at which the HCG numbers increase will begin to taper off....resulting in a momentary decrease in "pregnancy signs." For example, my HCG numbers were 132 on 15 DPO, 522 on 18 DPO and 5024 on 22 DPO. I am now 25 DPO and based on my rapid increase of HCG have already hit that 10,000 mark. Although my numbers will continue to rise bit by bit until the end of the first trimester....it's not as drastic of a climb. She said that this is completely normal and not to worry. My breasts will certainly beginning hurting again! I have an U/S in one week and am anxiously awaiting the opportunity to see a gestational sac, yolk sac and fetal pole (and tiny heart beat if I'm really, really lucky!). Did any of you ever think that you would be wishing so hard for your breasts to hurt?!?!? Go luck to you all!

Another update.... I went for the second ultrasound and sadly twin B did not make it, so that could account for an improvement in my nausea. I am barely 8 weeks, so am still hoping for Twin A to make it. Good Luck to you all
