Loss of breast tenderness
Name: Mary Ann | Date: Oct 2nd, 2004 2:46 PM
[ Original Post ]
I am 5 weeks pregnant and have experienced a sudden loss of breast tenderness. My breasts were so incredibly sore and now they seem normal. I haven't had any cramping or bleeding, but I am so nervous that something is wrong. This is our first pregnancy. Has this ever happened to any one else...any thoughts? Thanks.

there's a time in pregnancy where you stop feeling the early symptoms because you get used to them, but they're still there

I am 5 weeks as well and I am so worried becuase I have also lost breast tenderness. They were pretty sore about a week and half ago. For the past couple of days they aren't nearly as bad. This is my first child too and I am worried that something is wrong too. I've not had any bleeding or spotting. I have had some crampiness (nothing severe) and pulling on my sides, but I read that can be normal. My first apt. is not until Feb. 5th. PLease help me!!! Am I okay?

I am also 5 weeks pregnant and have suddenly lost the tender breast symptom. I have had good rising HCG levels, and go back in today for another. I had a miscarriage back in June and am scared of it happening again.

breast tenderness does come and go in alot of women. it does not mean that a miscarriage is comming. in fact, when I did have a m/c my breast were sore that day and the day before.... don't worry ladies.

I have missed my period by 2 days, my breasts were so sore for the last 4 days - I have never had pain like that before - the pain kept me awake at night for two night but that pain has subsided although they are sore but not as sore. I have extra saliva and feel hungry alot. Pregnancy test was negative. Do you think I am pregnant? I really hope so.

Well Ladies, 7.5 weeks with a picture of my peanut with a strong heartbeat. And the tenderness continues to come on stronger some days than others. I think it might have something to do with the hormone surges. It seems like I get a mild pain where my ovary is and then the next day, I'm more tender and nauseated. So, don't worry, if you are concerned, call your OB, they should be able to reassure you or tell you if you need to be seen.

I am also 5 weeks along. I had a healthy pregnancy and then two miscarriages following. I'm analyzing everything. My breasts have lost their tenderness from yesterday, it seems. I'm afraid to go back and have my hcg levels checked again. Could having a cold affect anything?

THE REPLYS TO THESE QUESTIONS MAKE ME FEEL BETTER. I AM 5 WEEKS 1DAY. MY BREAST WERE TENDER FOR A WEEK AND HAVE SUBSIDED TONIGHT. NO BLEEDING OR SPOTTING. THIS IS MY FIRST AND I WOULD BE DEVASTATED IF SOMETHING HAPPENED. I KNOW THREE COWORKERS WHO HAVE MISCARRIED. I CAN'TWAIT UNTIL I'M 3 MONTHS. I WILL FEEL SO MUCH MORE REASSURED.

Unbelievable! I didn't expect to find so many women with the same problem I was worried about - am also five weeks pregnant (anyone else noticing a 'five week' pattern in these replies?) and awoke this morning without sore breasts. They have been sore every day for the last two weeks. It was my morning reassurance! I thought it was a bad sign like a lot of the others did but I recognise now that nothing is uniform where hormones are concerned and all is probably well. Good luck to everyone!

I am 7 weeks and have only had a couple days of really noticing my breasts being tender. I was not worried at until I starting reading these posts. I was under the impressions these things can come and go.

Hey, Kelly, I am 7w5d and my breasts don't really hurt and haven't the whole pregnancy. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I have the same thing five weeks and loss of breast tenderness. Can anyone let me know if your pregnancies are still going well even with the same experience?? paranoid as miscarried last year.

Name: Stefani | Date: Feb 5th, 2005 11:06 AM
Mary Ann.....that can be normal. I have had the same thing...and read other people ahve too. The tenderness can come and go. Do they still feel bigger or do you have any other signs? In fact I lost my breast tenderness and I came home from work and cried because I was sure there was something wrong. Sure enough the tenderness came back. Stay patient and try not to worry. Have you been to the doc yet?

I am 9 week 6 days today. I lost the breast tenderness this morning after I woke up. I am so worried, so I went online to search for answer. I am glad to read all the post here. Two days ago I really throw up the first time. Since then I feel sick and want to throw up more. Now I lost the tenderness. Something new is going on in our body everyday.
