I have had 3 c-sections and all went well, my doctor said it depends from one person to the other, He actually said I could have another if I wanted too

I am scheduled for my fourth one in April. My doctor said he once met a woman who had eight! He told me the number varies. After my third, he said I had very little scarring, and it would be safe to try for another if/when we wanted.

well it depends on the women and the care she receives as well as how she takes care of herself our past president t. roosevelt wife had 11 so go figure but i say too be on a real safe side stop at 4 but who would dare do more than 3????????

I think it depends on how previous sections went and maybe what your Doctor thinks. I have had 6 so far and might be pg now, if I'm not then we'll keep trying. ( I wouldn't mind having 2 more!) I have 5 girls and my youngest is a boy, he is almost 18 mths old, so I think I spaced them out pretty good. He was the biggest of all my children,(10lbs) the rest were between 9.5 lbs to 9.3lbs so as you can see I have big babies. My doc said the next one will probably be close to 11lbs and I believe her because she was right about all the other weights of my babies. I'll be happy to have another c-section, especially if it's going to be close to 11lbs.

I have had 2-sections and a myomectomy. My doctor is concerned about me having a third baby due to scarring. What factors could help me make up my mind about trying to have a third baby (which would have to be c-section at 36 weeks)?

I've had 7 c-sections and 10 weeks pregnant now. My doctor said, 7 or 8 c-sections, what's the diffrence! (I did give birth naturally with my second.)

I am currently about to have my third and my doctor said there is "standard" set limit. She says that it is truly a test everytime they open you up. If there is massive scar tissue or thinning then you know the risks are higher. I had no scar tissue when they did my second one and hope to have a fourth child if all goes well with this one.

I am 17 weeks pregnant with my second baby. My first baby was delivered by c-section after a 22-hr labor. I now have a low-lying placenta and I am worried that if it stays this way, I will have to have a repeat c-section. Does anyone have any experience of this? The doctor says my uterine scar is "normal" - do some women not have any scars at all after a c-section?

I am about to have my 3rd, and I heard that it varies from woman to woman how many is safe. I know a woman who had 9, but I don't think I can have that many b/c my uterus was very thin last time. I hope to at least have 1 more.

i am unsure totally , i am worried cuz i have had 4 c/s and the last time they had to repair my bladder due to it being scarred in the past and stuck to my uterus, all went wonderful tho no complications. they never said i shouldnt have any more . i wasnt planning any more, but now i find myself pregnant again and scared to death. and not wanting to tell anyone . i know they will think i am crazy. can any one offer advice and help put my mind at ease.

I have had six C-Sections. My oldest child is now nearly 18. My youngest will turn 6 in August. My husband and I are desiring another baby in the next year. I have had some scar tissue, but feel confident all will go well.

I have had 3 and hope to have 1 more. For me, 4 is where I draw the line, but I have heard of women having more. In my mind, 4 is the limit.

I had my first c/s after 25 hours of labor, only dialated to 4 cm. I had a 9 pound 13 ounce baby, thank God I had a c-section. Everything was fine afterwards, so my doctor said having another child would be safe. I had my second baby by c/s and she was 10 pounds 3 ounces. We want to try for another baby this October. This will probably be our last because after my 2nd I had endomitritis and cellulitis. I had an extra 13 day hospital stay on top of the 4 that women usually have. It was totally worth it all the pain, and I am willing to do it one atleast one more time.

I've been told by a few different doctors that it's up to the womens body how many she can have. I have had 4 and we are expecting #5 in September, it'll be my 5th section. One doc told me he had performed 9 on one women, another said there was a lady whos body could only handle 1. It all depends.

i have had 4 c sections and am 32 weeks pregnant again, i have heard of women having 8. although nearly every one i speek 2 say "i thought you could only have 3" i was told after 2 c sections i could never deliver vaginaly either, but i did.....i am having my tubes clamped this time round but only because i requested it...i have the same gyne as last time and he specifically said thet my uterus looked good and there is absolutly no reason why i cannot carry another healthy pregnancy to full term without complication.

I had 4 as well, and everyone also said that to me. I did have my tubes done at my fourth. I was very nervous of the stats on placenta accreeta happening. That eally scared me, more so than a rupture or anything else.

My mother had 6 children, all C-sections, from 1947-63. She's never met anyone who'd had more. Her first doctor told her to stop after me (the second). "So we moved," my mom jokes now. (My dad entered grad school at the University of Pittsburgh.) There for the next three children she had a fabulous doctor named Vassar Y. "Pete" Moss at Magee Hospital. (I recently saw a nice tribute to him (and his wife) on the Magee Women's Foundation website.) Dr. Moss told my mom that she healed so well that she could have as many C-sections as she wanted. My youngest sister, the result of a rhythm birth control experiment conducted in our D.C. area parish by Georgetown U (it was never published, I'm sure, the results were so dismal from the doctrine point of view: 39 pregnancies our ot 40 women in the study), was delivered in the D.C. area.

Now 85-years old and as frisky as ever, my mom often crows that she had six C-sections, one scar and no pints of blood needed.

Depends on your doctor. I have had 4, doctor was willing to let me have 1 more & said beyond that there could be complications, but he never ruled it out. It just depends on your health & how you heal.
