Ok girls my bff brought her laptop to the hospital so I could post - Ok so I go into be induced at 7pm as scheduled I get all hooked up to everything and the doctor inserts cervadil....my dh and I are trying to rest in the triage dept. well I start feeling contractions and soon become uncomfortable.....I had an awesome nurse named Lucia - I asked when I would receive my room she said I was next which was great .....once I got in my room I feel asleep this was at 1am I slept peacefully until 500a which was a miracle! The next morning the cervadil was removed and was given about an hour and a half to walk around shower and eat breakfast….the shower was fantastic my breakfast even better as I was starving….then I got my epidural as the cervidil had started some good contractions then about 1030 I got my pitocin drip it was crazy for me to see all of the contractions on the monitor and I wasn’t making much change so finally after all day of seeing the same thing all day long my doctor finally arrived and broke my water at 804pm ( I was at 5cm like I had been all day) and just like with Aidan I dilated quickly after that – I got my epidural topped off because I was not falling for that let me epidural wear off in time for me to push ummm no…..so I start pushing at 900p I pushed and pushed for 3 hours and the doctor said her head is too big she won’t descend all the way into the birth canal so he said he would try a few more pushes with me to see if it would move the baby down farther…..well after another 25 mins of pushing he said the baby was in distress indicating a possible cord around neck and that is very dangerous ….so he said I think because your baby’s head is so big we should just deliver the baby the safest way I suggest c-section he said I tried it your way…and it’s not going to work….so at 1215am I went right into the OR and the anesthesiologist gave me something that not only numbed like never before it almost made me sleepy and I didn’t really like it I wanted to be awake not loopy…it was really weird and I lost all power and ability to move my left arm I hated that …..I didn’t like how they whisked the baby away to get cleaned up and checked on by Neonatalogist I got to kiss her 3 times and she was gone…..So at exactly 12:31 A.M. Megan Vaughn Chambers was born via c-section weighing in at 8 lbs 1oz 19.5 inches long and her charlie brown head was 14.5 inches around and that's why I had to have a c-section….I feel pretty good I am just starving and my incision area is a little sore there is so much more but I can’t keep my eyes open. We are both happy and healthy she is the best baby ever so mellow and a good eater!!! We are so blessed I feel so happy and excited that she is here!!! ↓
wow! congratulations! Now I'm surprised I had my little guy vaginally - his head was the same size and he was almost a pound bigger! I was terrifed of a C-Section!! I'm so happy it all worked out for you!! ↑
AAAAHHHH! She is BEAUTIFUL!!! :) Way to go momma! Ok, I'll read now. I can't believe 3 of us had babies already! Kendra had Strad just a few minutes ago! I can't wait to see everyone's photos. ↑
Tina! Congrats girl! Your baby girl is absolutely precious! I cried when I saw the pictures 1 because it brings back memories of only 3 weeks ago for me but 2 and most importantly because its just so beautiful!! You are so lucky mama! Hope your incision heals well. I'm sorry that the surgery itself wasn't so good... but your precious one is here now!!! I am sooo happy for you! ↑
Girls- I have since found out that she was also sunnyside up which means that she would have come out with her face up and been all bruised up and stuff plus the complications of the cord not just because of her big head...LOL it was a combination of 3 things - I just wanted to clear that up because I had a lot of questions after I was not on drugs anymore.....my dh assured me that we did the right thing with the c-section and that he was very scared for the both of us until she was safely out and he was cutting her cord THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT DURING MY PREGNANCY IT'S BEEN A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE FOR ME HUGS TO YOU ALL!!!!!!
