My fiance and I are trying to conceive and right now I am waiting on a few more days to test since I'll be 10 days late on my period in 3 days, I'm excited to find out but I am also nervous. If I am pregnant now, my fiance would miss the birth of our baby by a month or so. I am wondering if any of you ladies are military spouses and if so, have you ever gone through labor on your own while your hubby was on deployment? ↓

I'm in the military and my husband is too. If you're are already 7 days late, you can probably test now.. you don't have to wait 3 more days. With both my pregnancies I tested positive when I was 6 days late. ↑
hey veronica... my husband is in the air force and Im 7 months pregnant.. DH is currently deployed to Iraq and wont be back till our daughter is about 3 months old. being a military spouse is hard, just stay strong and you'll be fine. :) good luck with your pregnancy. ↑
Wow, that must be difficult. I have never had to deal with that, but I admire your courage to continue with your family plans, taking on the task of making a brand new life. I would not worry as much about the birth as I would about that month or so with a new baby. Make sure you have support from family and friends. For a baby shower, see if you can get friends to bring over meals for the first couple of weeks to help you get situated. Mothers or mother-in-laws can be godsends during these times. I kissed my mother-in-laws feet for the number of times she settled my crying baby at 4 AM after breastfeeding every two hours! Hope all goes well! ↑
I am a doula in Florida. I do not know if you will be married when baby arrives. If so contact Operation Special Delivery. They have a website and you can download a application. If you will not be married contact DONA to get a list of doulas in your area and I bet you will find many who would love to help you through your pregnancy, labor, and immediately following the birth of your baby. ↑
