Ok so here's my problem... I was very irregular with my use of the pill. I had sex with my fiancee regularly. He died in an accident in March and I have not taken the pill nor had my period since. I took a hpt in the afternoon a couple of weeks ago but it was negative. I have not had a period, feel sick my stomach sticks out and I'm bloated but it could be stress right? Anyone else have negative hpt despite being up to maybe 8 weeks preggers?

I am so sorry to hear of what happened to your fiancee, that is horrible. I have heard many people that have a delayed period coming off of b/c. I wonder if it is just your hormones and the stress of the situation that is causing your period to be late. It may be a good idea to call the doc and see if they can run a blood test to confirm. Thanks... I guess part of me really wants to be pregnant, it would keep him close in a way... Where I live the earliest dr appointment I could get was next month!

Well then I really hope you are, that would be a wonderful way to still have a part of him. There are no clinics or Planned Parenthood where you live that can get you in? That seems an awful long time to wait. I would retest with a First Response using your first morning urine, it would be more accurate than the one you did in the afternoon. I have also heard many stories on these boards of people who do not test positive for months. You may want to start taking a good quality multi-vitamin in case you are pregnant. Please let me know how you make out. Colleen
