So I had a two day extremely light period, hardly anything on the second day especially. Normally my periods last for around 7-8 days and are heavy flow then move to somewhat light flow. Could this be a possible pregnancy sign? I wanted to see if anyone else has had the same thing happen. Im not really having any other symptoms except for the fact that I am tired and get a little dizzy every once in a while. OH and how soon can I take a pregnancy test if I need to. I had my two day light one 5 days ago...thanks to all that reply. ↓

Has anything changed recently? Are you ttc and stopped taking your bc pills? Stressed at all? Some of these things could explain the lighter than normal period, or you could be prego. If you really did miss your period, or the full on one you normally have, then you should be able to test now. If BFN, then test again about a week later. If still nothing, you may want to consult a doc. Good Luck! ↑

No I am not ttc and nothing has changed...I am on the Nuvaring at the moment and this is my fourth month in...however, I had been on it around a year ago for a year and went off of it...and in the time that I was on it before, my periods were still never this light or short...they have never been, whether I was on bc or not. Hah! We're on the same boat. I'm on BC pill and have always been regular and heavy flow that lasts for about 7 days with spotting at the end. In April my period came early and was lighter and less than usual. This month, it was due May 5th and only had spotting for 4 days. I took a pregnancy test and BFN, went to the doc for pap and she did a urine test, BFN. So, not sure what to tell you. I have all pregnancy symptoms, except for nausea. ↑

the same thing is happening to me. i started spotting about 11 days after i had sex and i'm also on BC. i'm taking a HPT this sunday and i better get a BFP!! but some women won't get a positive result til the end of their first trimester! it all depends on your hormone level. so even if your tests come out neg, if you're not getting your period and are having symptoms, i'd get a blood test done! ↑

yeah so I just took a test this morning and it was BFN....so I guess I will test in another week....or should I just wait till my next cycle to see what happens...maybe I just had an off month, which i dont think is possible since this has NEVER happened to me before with BC or not...I dont know....everyone please keep me updated...thanks ↑

The exact same thing happened to me... started the ring in January, had normal 3-4 day medium periods and last week it lasted only 1 day and extremely light... as far as other side effects, i'm crampy (like period cramps without the period), bloated, and getting headaches more often than normal. I think i'm just going to wait it out and see what happens next month... ↑

I am going to do the same thing now that my preg test came back with a BFN. I talked to a nurse this morning and she said that it would not hurt anything to wait till the next cycle even with the nuvaring in...if that helps with any of your concern....I was definitely concerned that it would hurt the baby if there was one. thanks for your reply sec84! ↑

i'm also having cramps like period cramps without the period, bloated, and getting headaches more often than normal and my boobs was sore a few days back. went away little now its back and they hurt like heck. and when i reach for something up left arms high in the air. my stomach feels like it tighness up. but its alreeady tight. i'm going try and just wait it out and see what happens next month ↑
I'm basically in the same boat you are except i am on the nuvaring...and now i am starting to get a little heartburn...i dont know whats going on and i think i am gonna have to just wait it out as well ↑

so when prego does your belly feel tight? mine does at times specail when i sit up. and when i go to bathroom and get up it lets me know go pee fast your trying to hold it and not pee on yourself. kind thing.. lol ↑

I'm actually not sure mandy...I have not been experiencing that....just the mild cramps, headaches, slight dizziness, and fatigue....all with my BFN yesterday morning....so annoying to have a two day light period and you dont know what is going on with your body!! ↑
Well it looks like we are just gonna be waiting together....so annoying huh? I just want my next cycle to come already so I can figure this out....and thats not for another two weeks...grrrrrr ↑

Well everyone, just to update you all, I am definitely not pregnant, I took another pregnancy test this morning and BFN, which is ok because we werent ttc. I just wanted to let everyone know in case you had a similar situation and were worried....good luck everyone with ttc! ↑
