I got a bfp this morning. It's been 33 days since my natural m/c. I was 9w1d. I can't believe it happened so fast. And I'm so nervous..... any positive stories would be GREAT!!!

Its actually not good to get pregnant that soon after miscarriage. The uterine lining hasn't thickened back up yet and the risk of miscarring again is very high. I desperetely wanted to get pregnant again after my missed miscarriage but waited to try til the 3rd cycle like obs reccommend and still had problems. Hopefully you will be one of the success stories! I wish you the best of luck!!

hi cheryl... congratulations!!! :D please don't let what newbaby said scare you... when i had a natural m/c/ in march the er doc and my own doctor both said the only reason they recommend you wait at least one cycle is so they can accurately date the pregnancy. other than that there is no medical reason to wait one cycle or more before conceiving again. i ended up getting pregnant about a week and a half after my m/c, and was COMPLETELY surprised but so excited!! i think of it as God knowing how badly we had wanted that baby so He blessed us with another one quickly... i also figure that if your body's not ready it just won't happen, so the fact that it has for you is a really good sign!! :) anyway, i am now 19 weeks 3 days with a perfectly healthy baby girl! things have gone wonderfully so far (knock on wood), and i hope the same for you. let me know how everything goes! *****sticky dust!!***** <3 taryn

hi cheryl! i had a miscarriage at 10 weeks in february 2007, it was heartbreaking...i had a d&c to remove what hadnt been expelled naturally. i was planning on waiting to conceive for a while so i could heal emotionally from it...well, the month after my first period we were not so careful on my birthday and i got my birthday present--my beautiful little girl! she is 7 months old now and perfect. it was really scary though that first trimester, im not gonna lie, i rented a doppler so i could listen to the heartbeat when i got scared, my doctor also had me on progesterone therapy to aid in holding on to the pregnancy...but everything ended up fine. hang in there and have faith! oh....and CONGRATULATIONS!

Thank you so much!!! I went for my beta's yesterday in the afternoon, so I'm hoping to get the results today.... although I am extremly nervous. I think I'm about 4.5 wks.... so we'll see I guess if everythings going up. Also I have an ultrasound booked for Thursday, which was already booked before the bfp... so hopefully they see an iup in that u/s. Thanks again girls and I'll keep ya posted!!!

Hi Cheryl - Congratulations!! Me too!! I m/ced in June - only 5 weeks along but I fell pregnant again straight away..I'm due April2nd...about 4.4 weeks....I have 4 other children and the last 2 were each born after a m/c with only 1 af between m/c and conceiving...Newbaby is wrong - your lining starts to build up as it would after a period...it does that every month...They only want to be sure that you are emotionally ready for it and to date it!! In the UK - as backward as we are, lol - we are asked to only wait one cycle for that very reason....A lot of women also find that a m/c kind of sets a healthy base for the next baby....many don't I know but...
