We are trying to fall pregnant and I am taking prenatal vitamins but a lady told me that her fertility specialist told her not to take prenatal vitamins as it is not good for the immuse system to be to strong as it may cause a miscarriage. What has been the advise of other doctors ↓
I'm sorry but that makes absolutely no sense. You want your immune system to be in the best shape possible. She obviously does not know the importance of folic acid and birth defects either. ↑
When it doubt, always ask your own doctor and not listen to what 'some lady' told you. Not just now, but once you get pregnant and continuing when you have a kid you're going to start getting all advice -- some reasonable, some absolutely ludicrous. Chalk this up to being one of the "ludicrous" examples and keep on your prenatal vitamins. Good luck! ↑
I would ask your doctor. It depends on your vitamin. When I was ttc my doctor said mine had too much iron and that was bad so he put me on folic acid and a multi vitamin. He also sugggested that I take baby asprin daily to prevent miscarriage. But I say you should ask your dr. ↑
