Hi, 4 days ago the hubby and I found out we were pregnant for the 4th time. We have one ds, one m/c and last November our second ds died at birth. Given this patchy history, we are extremely nervouse this time around! I did a test quite early because I had some spotting that would have made AF 2 weeks early and after 6 months finally saw that positive! Since then I have had spotting twice. All times it's been fresh blood (apologies tmi) but no real cramps...just soreness and almost a burning like I've done too many sit-ups. I'm in a fairly rural area and the only doc around is so busy, he said he'd call me back "in ten minutes" 2 hours ago... I'm about 3 weeks now, so it's very very early days and I know unlikely that anything could be detected in a scan. Last pg I spotted from 8 wks to 12 wks. I'm just looking for any experience with this or any questions I may not have thought of to ask the doc if he ever decides to call back. thanks!

I am so sorry to hear about your losses, that is heartbreaking to lose a baby after full term. I would call the doc back and keep pestering him until he sees you (or go to the ER) many people have bleeding during pregnancy and go on to have healthy babies. ANY bleeding is cause for concern, especially if it is red blood. I would give that doc another call then go to the hospital if he doesn't respond. Good luck.

Chidholm is right. There are a lot of reasons that you could bleed during pregnancy. However, you still need to get checked out. It might be that they need to put you on something.
