Hello everyone!!!!Here's to fresh starts!! Good Advice!! and lots of support for all of us ttc or those who have recent bfp's or recent losses and wanting to ttc again!!! XOXOXO I also wanted to send my regards to Ishtar who also just suffered a miscarriage. My thoughts are with you Ishtar..we will be here for you. I am so sorry you had to go through this also. For me I took my meds (misprostol) to bring on my miscarriage Wed afternoon...as of Tues night my levels were still increasing..so weird. ANyway (tmi) but I started bleeding just after dinner and bled quite heavily having to change my pad every hour or two. the cramping was more than a regular af that's for sure...it has now wiened off and is more like an af now. I have to go back on Monday to get my hcg checked to see if my levels are going down. I am still mouring my loss..but am thinking to the future for a more positive outcome next time. I will probably start ttc after my next cycle. But to everyone here you have all been so great!!Thank you and happy ttc this cycle..and to those who just got their af's I am truly sorry but lets hope our good eggs are waiting just around the corner for us ;) XO girls ..love ya!!

Hi Kristin - I hope things get better for you from this point forward - and that good egg is waiting for you just around the corner. Ishtar - very sorry for your loss and know that all the ladies here are thinking of you.

Dear Kristin - you are one of the most amazing people I have ever (not?!?!) met - such strength, determination and an ability to stay centred and philosophical even at the worst times. I am full of admiration and I know that you truly deserve to have the baby you so desire and YOU WILL! What lucky husband and children you (will) have to have a wife and mother like you. I am so sorry that we cannot go on our journey together this time but I will be thinking of you (and checking up on you on this thread!!) until your next BFP and then I will be so glad that I can share your joy. Until then, I share your pain and hope that my support can be a comfort whenever you need. Stay strong as you are and love your life. Lots of love to you and your family and BIG HUGS and hot water bottles!! XOXOXOXOX

Hi everyone. Don't have time to post much. I'm about halfway through the 2ww. AF is due Sunday or Monday. Sorry to hear that AF has arrived on some of your doorsteps. And Kristin, I don't have anything new to add ovar and above what I've said before and what others have said....just want you to know that I'm still thinking about you. Busy week this week - might not be around much. Take care, everyone.

Name: Krissy68 | Date: Sep 22nd, 2008 6:44 PM
Kristin72 - How are you doing today and how did the doctor's visit goe?

JuliaB - How are you doing? I'm so sorry that AF found you. Thinking about you! Good Luck with your upcoming doctor's appointment.

mamix4 - how are you doing>? so sorry that AF found you. good luck to you this cycle..

Aspen8 - How are you doing? I think we are cycle buddies I am currently cd 21 8dpo. What cd and dpo are you? I will also be testing the same days as you as well. Keeping my fingers cross for you let me know if you are going to test early.

Hey ladies here is my little update. I am currently on cd 21 8dpo and 5th day of taking progesterone gel straight and this is good for me cause I normally only take it for about 3 or 4 days then I forget to take it any more. Anyway I am having some slight discomfort and I don't want to read anything into it but this is what is going on with me. I am very bloated, headache, lower back pain, starving like I haven't ate in years, very nausuated, and my stool is very soft and I am going every day (sorry tmi) but this isn't the norm for me this only happens when I am having AF. I will NOT test early unless I have some MAJOR symptoms changes what do you girls think. I can test in exactly one week to the day. I will keep you all updated. I am hoping to see some BFP. Sending tons of baby dust to everyone. Krissy68

Hi ladies - hope you are all doing well. Just a quick hello so that you know that I'm thinking of you all. *Aspen* How are you? I'm praying that you don't get your AF on Sun/Mon. *Krissy68* I'm on CD13 and for the first time in 3 months I noticed EWCM on CD 10 - not much but it was there. I thought I may have ovulated on CD12 as my temp went up but it dropped slighly this morning. I started tempting a day too late this month and now not sure....have to keep up the BDing just in case :). When would your AF be due? Sounds like you've had a really good month and am dearly hoping that is doesn't come - fingers crossed and baby dust to you and for all of us. *Kristen72* Thinking of you Bella. Ciao

Hi Girls, Your guys are so sweet!! Hopeful~thank you so much for saying that..you really made me feel great! I know that when the time is right a healthy little critter will come along for me. You guys have been so nice to check up on me..thank you so much. A quick update..I am still bleeding quite a bit. I have passed some larger clots..which was to be expected. Iam just going through the motions of this miscarriage thing. I went shopping with a friend this morning and had lunch. My friend also has a lo who is 2 1/2. She had her own share of problems with pregnancy (she is 41 also) going into preterm labour at 6 1/2 months and losing a little girl. But luckily she was able to have a healthy girl after that. She even went into preterm labour with her second but the second baby survived. I wanted to tell her about my miscarriage...but didn't feel the time was right. She even mentioned to me how she never liked coming to the store (IKEA the place we went today)..before as there are always tons of preggo's and newborns walking and being strolled around...I thought to myself.."I know exactly what you mean". Especially being in the midst of a miscarriage myself :( That said..I am trying to be strong and looking to the future. I heard a quote and it made me think...

Yesterday is History
Tomorrow is a Mystery
Today is a gift
That is why it is called "The Present"

Girls we really have to be thankful for what we "Do" have and be positive... that having strength, hardships, and long waiting periods b4 conceiving will make us stronger..we will be rewarded eventually for our perserverance. I wish you all good luck and I hope we all can have and carry babies to term VERY soon. I love you guys!!Thanks again.

november7 - Keeping my fingers cross for you and you just keep bding away. AF should be here on Sep 30 but Fertility Friend said the earliest I can test is on Sep 29 I will update.

Kristin72 - How are you doing? I'm thinking about you. You really give us all inspriration and you are a very strong woman.

Hey ladies here is a little update I am currently on cd 22 9dpo 6th straight day of taking the progesterone gel and so far so good but last night 8dpo I broke down and tested because I was so sick and you guessed it a bfn. Oh well I mind as well wait the 6 days I have left. My stomach is feeling quessy and a little crampy. Sending tons of baby dust. Krissy68

Name: mamix4 | Date: Sep 24th, 2008 1:32 PM
Hey Kristin...never mind I found the new thread (lol)..How are you holding up sweetie? Hows the rest of the gang? Well Im cd6 starting from scratch...anyone else around cd6? Funny this happened this cycle...my af usually last 7 days on the nose and for some strange reason, this past af only lasted 4 days from start to finish. Could this be a sign of Perimenopause? God I hope not since I'd like to have one more bundle of joy...anyone else going thru this or have gone thru this?

Name: Krissy68 | Date: Sep 24th, 2008 6:48 PM
Hey ladies here is my little update for the day. I am currently cd 23 10dpo and 7th straight day of taking the progesterone gel and so far so good. The only new signs are I am having that feeling that I just need to throw up and I was a little crampy off and on all day and it is starting back up, lower back is still hurting off and on, having to pee a lot more it even woke me up in the wee hours and I normally can hold it once I go to sleep but the funny thing is I got off my night job at 1am and before I left I went to the rest room and then I had to go again once I got home like less then 20 minutes later then I woke up about 3:30 and again at 5:30 then my normal time of getting up is 6:45am and before I could wake anyone else up I had to go again. I am trying not to get my hopes up but that is really hard not to. According to fertility friend i have 5 more days before testing i will hold out. I will update tomorrow. Krissy68

Hi, everyone. KRISSY - how did you make paragraphs?!?!?!?

I'm testing....will this come up as a new paragraph?

Name: Aspen8 | Date: Sep 25th, 2008 12:06 PM
Wow! Okay, that's the most exciting thing that's happened to me all week. We've never been able to make paragraphs before! YAY!

KRISSY-I'm 11 or 12 dpo now. I'm not going to test early. If AF doesn't show by Monday, I'll test, but I can't stand the emotional roller coaster of testing early. It's better for me to just wait. Wow....my fingers are really crossed for you!!!!

NOVEMBER - EWCM?!? YAY!!!!! That's GREAT!

MAMIX - The first month I started charting my period was my normal 5 days w/ medium flow. The very next month it was only three days. Since then, it's been back and forth. I really think there's something about the stress of this process that can mess with us a bit. I mean.....my body couldn't have picked that particular month to jump into perimenopause, could it?

KRISTIN - We love you too! Take care of yourself.

Name: november7 | Date: Sep 25th, 2008 7:26 PM
Good morning ladies - its 07:00am on Friday morning here. really looking forward to the weekend.

Maxim how are you going? I really hope that this month you get your positive. I wanted to mention that I have also experinced cycles that you described. Ive noticed since TTC (4 cycles) cause I've been more observant with my flow etc 2 were very heavy and completely gone within 3 days and the other 2 appeared to be more 'normal' medium flow and lasting about 5 days. Since having the ultrasound I found out that I had 4 small fibroids which is likely the reason why I have heavy flows. Why its not the same every month, I have no idea. Don't think of it too much, the main thing is you're getting your AF's so everything is still working nicely. Keep positive and you will get there. Take care.

Hi Apsen!! I'm really excited that you are on 12DPO. You are right about not testing too early. It is what it is and just wait after your AF date. I know for me that testing early is not a good idea cause if its not a BFP then I get down until AF arrives. This month I'm going to keep happy right up till the AF is due. I think I'd prefer to be in that state of mind from now on. I'll be eagily awaiting your post next week for your news. Take care and lots of baby dust to you. Oh about the EWCM, I was so happy to see that. I did ovulate on CD15 - same as last month but what was different this time was that the BBT spike was much better 97.52 to 98.42. Last month it crept up very slowly over a number of days. It probably doesn't make any difference but it was nice to see it shoot up and for it to be a noticeable difference. 2 DPO now ... :)

Krissy68 I am praying for you (which is something I don't really do normally). This could be it so I can't wait to hear from you. Take care of yourself.

Kristen72 How are you going bella? I hope things with DH are much better - I know that TTC can be really stressful for a couple and as we know men are not built emotionally like us women. Its sometimes easier for them to cope with their feelings my being that tough guy - if you know what I'm trying to say. Keep strong and more importanly keeping BDing - get the enjoyment in there without DH knowing that you have TTC on your mind - I say that cause thats what I'm trying to do cause I think my DF was getting a bit tired of hearing my analysis on everthing. Take care and you are in my thoughts.

Also to all of the other ladies who come on this forum - stay positive and healthy and keep up the BD cause thats going to help :) Ciao.

Hey Girls!!! Nov7 Aspen, Krissy68, and Kristin72 and the rest of the girls!! Yeah, you guys are right...ever since I've started to track I've been more in tune to when exactly my af comes and goes and also when I'm starting to O...its funny how you really start paying attention when youre ttc then when you're not. Well, My O week isnt until Oct 1-6th so you know what I'll be doing (lol)...I'm a bit discouraged cuz dh is 38 and Im 37 so I know that statistically our chances have dropped dramatically...but we'll keep trying for that last miracle...I hope that you're having a great day so far and I hope that in OCT we'll hear some good news...<<hugs>>

Aspen8 - How are you doing guess what I think we are cycle buddies. I am cd 25 12dpo what are you? If we aren't on the same day then we are a day apart. I am testing on Monday as well unless she show her face really early. I did test early already on 8 & 10 dpo and it was Neg. I will not test anymore until Monday. Have a great weekend. I have to work. I am glad you found out how to do the paragraphs by the time I read the email you had already figured it out. It make it a lot easy for me to read the post.

november7 - thank you very much for the prayers I really need it. How are you doing? I am preparing myself for AF just in case I will let you know on Monday cause she should be here between Sep 28 - Oct 3.

mamix4 - Good Luck to you and keeping you in my prayers and fingers and everything that I can is cross for you.

Here is my daily update. I am currently on cd 25 12dpo and 9th straight day of taking the progesterone gel. I will have to stop it on this day cause the extra money I had to get the refill I had to spend it on my sick daughter she has a very bad stomach virus. My doctor had wanted me to take this medicine from cd 17 until AF or I got a bfp. I hope I have enough in my system and if I get a bfp then I will get the refill and keep taking it I am suppose to take it until I am 10 weeks pg. Anyway my temp went down from yesterday 98.59 to 98.33 so when my temp start going down then that means AF will be knocking. I don't feel like AF is coming but then again I don't feel like I am pg either. I will let you know on Monday. I am keeping my fingers cross that I see some BFP on Monday. Everybody have a GREAT Weekend!!!!! Krissy68

KRISTIN: I am so very sorry for your loss. I was just checking in to see how Kristin and Aspen and all the others are doing and am saddened to hear about your loss especially after having been through a lot with you (our first miscarriages then our pregnancies and discussions about our firstborn babies, etc). I'm also inspired and moved by how positive and determined you are. You and I both know that pregnancy is possible after miscarriage. You're in my thoughts.

Hi girls- I hope you don't mind if i join. I would really love to be able to share with others. This is my second month that I will be ttc after a tubal reversal. I will be 40 next month. I have two children. I am currently on cd 3, and af was 6 days late. I was starting to get upset because i was only spotting for 5 days and then it stopped but then af and all her pain came. What's funny is I was happy ( I think I could have done a happy dance if I wasn't in so much pain)! I want to wish all of you fantastic ladies all the very best and baby dust to all.

Name: Aspen8 | Date: Sep 28th, 2008 3:25 PM
NOVEMBER - I think how your temperature spikes might actually be important. In all the Chinese medicine stuff I've been reading it sure is and translated into a more Western view, it would mean that the corpus luteum is functioning optimally...which probably means that the follicle that proceeded it functioned optimally too...which is maybe why you got that ewcm this month. It sounds great to me! My fingers and toes are crossed for you.

MAMIX - You are NOT old! If you're old, then I have to be really old and I don't WANNA be really old!!!! Lol. You're gonna get that bfp....you'll see!

KRISSY - Yep, I was definitely excited by the paragraphs. We weren't able to do that before. I guess that was part of the changes to this site lately. Are you testing tomorrow or did that witch arrive on your doorstep?

JESSLEA - Welcome! Great to meet you. You'll like it here, I think. The ladies here are fabulous. I'm glad you got your full-blown AF, but I'm sorry it hurts so much!

My update - AF arrived early. I'm on cd2. I'm totally okay with that and looking forward to trying again this month.

Name: Aspen8 | Date: Sep 28th, 2008 3:26 PM
PERL! Hi there! We've missed you. How are you making out with caring for a toddler and a new baby at the same time? And how are both Peter and Daniel?

Name: november7 | Date: Sep 28th, 2008 7:04 PM
Apen - I am so sorry to hear that your AF arrived early as I know you were holding off with the testing. I honestly believe in the power of thought and will be thinking of you getting a positive. Your AF will be gone shortly and it will be your time again. Think positive (I know its hard) because if you do, it will happen - don't give up and keeping up the BD every day during your fertile period. Also, thank you so much for the info on the BBT and Chinese translation of high spikes. I'm hoping this will be it cause everything else seems working better this month, including the FSH level, but I won't be testing - I'll just wait to see if AF arrives. I'm on DPO5. Take care x

Hi Maxim - Just like Aspen says - no talking yourself down because of your age. I'm also much older than you - 41 and I'm not going to give up and nor are you. Keep up the bding and look after yourself so you feel good about your body and 'young' age!!Take care and I really hope this month is for you. x.

Kissy68 - No news yet, so I'm hoping that your post will give us some positive news for all of us who are TTC. I've been thinking of you and I hope this month is for you. Take care and keep us up to date. mwah x

Hi Jesslea! Welcome to the board. Its great to hear from mums or mums to be. The ladies on this board are really lovely and we try and support each other during our baby journey. So welcome on board and we look forward to getting to know you. Baby dust to you too :)

Kristen72- How are you Bella? Thinking of you and hope everything is going well. x

So ladies - this is the start of another week - so keep posiitve and keep up that BDing...it will happen, but you have to believe it will. Lot of Baby dust to you all. Ciao

I hope you are all well. i have been out of the loop for quite a long time. I am back. I have finished my cycle 3 of clomid. Nothing has happened yet. I am waiting for a miracle to happen What are the side effects of using clomid. I have gained so much weight from a size 10 to 14. Is this normal? My vision (eyes) is not as crystal clear as it was. Are these caused by clomid? If this is the case, is it a good sign or what? Baby dust to all who are ttc.

Name: mamix4 | Date: Sep 29th, 2008 10:23 AM
Morning Girls!

I just want to say that you guys are AWESOME!!! Your positive response keeps me going...there's nothing like having a great support system...

We'll Im cd 10...My O week is coming up and we're gonna BD every other day starting today...I've read in alot of fertility websites that if you do it every other day, you get better sperm...we'll see if thats true.

I pray that October is the month for all of us...

Name: Aspen8 | Date: Sep 29th, 2008 3:46 PM
MAMIX - October is feeling lucky to me!

KRISSY - What's happening, girlfriend? We're on pins and needles waiting to hear!

EARLY40 - Nice to meet you. I've never taken clomid so I can't help you with that. Some of the other ladies on here can though and I'm sure they'll see your post and tell you what they can as soon as they can.

NOVEMBER - Thank you very much. I definitely believe in the power of thought too. Wayne Dyer says it's not "I'll believe it when I see it" but rather "I'll see it when I believe it." I think there's a fair amount of truth to that. And I BELIEVE, BABY! Lol! I am gonna get pregnant! I am, I am, I am!!!!!

I really am okay with not being pregnant last month because I think that once I do conceive, my best chance of carrying to term will be when my body is healthy enough to do everything it's supposed to do anyway, if that makes sense. For instance...my periods have gradually lightened since February to the point where May, June and July were only two days long with a third day of spotting. You know that ain't right! It ain't good enough. It points to something that's not functioning well enough to sustain implantation and full-term pregnancy. As result of something I'm doing since late July (super healthy diet, more exercise, yoga, relaxation techniques, vizualization, western supplements, Chinese herbs, acupressure point massage, acupuncture...blah, blah, blah...) my last period's flow was heavier, though still very short and this month I'm getting a whole extra day of light flow. Saturday was light, yesterday medium, and today light. That's a definite step in the right direction! Add the fact that my cm has been much better the last couple of cycles and I just KNOW I'm getting healthier and closer to both conceiving and having a chance to carry full term. When my body is healthy enough it'll happen, I think. And I'm one month closer, right? Please keep those positive thoughts coming. I really do believe that they help!!!!!

KRISTIN - Sweetie, I'm still thinking of you almost every day. I just wanted to run this past you: One of the books I read over the summer was called "Is Your Body Baby-Friendly?" It was written by Alan E. Beer, M.D., a reproductive immunologist. He believed that recurrent miscarriages are often, if not always, related to our own immune systems in some way. Like...in order for pregnancies to last, our bodies have to be tricked into thinking that "not self" (the embryo) is "self" (us) so it will be allowed to stay and flourish. If that doesn't work...if our immune systems see the embryo as "foreign"...it will be attacked instead. I'm really, really, REALLY oversimplifying but that's the general gist of it. He goes to great lengths to make the argument that multiple miscarriages are usually NOT due to genetic problems or "bad luck" or whatever. He sees it as analogous to women with immune systems that attack their thryoid glands being told that it's just "bad luck" and being told..."eh...keep trying...maybe your thyroid will work better tomorrow." Anyway, the book is long and detailed and full of scientific information. I just wanted to mention it in case you might want to peek at it to see if you want to explore further. I don't know where Hamilton, Ontario is in relation to your home but there is a Dr. David Clark, Professor of Medicine at McMaster University who runs a clinic there that Dr. Beer specifically lists in his book as a clinic that specializes in reproductive immunology using his research and protocols.

Just wanted to put that out there in case you might be interested....

Love you.

Hey girls I am so sorry to keep you all waiting I did test thismorning and it was a big fat Negative. My temp on Saturday cd27 was 98.64, Sunday cd 28 was 98.36 and today cd 29 was 98.23 I think by me taking them progesterone gel it is going to mess with my luteal phase we shall see. I know for this cycle I started on Sep 2 so I guess in a few more days I will be getting AF. I will let you all know. How is everybody else doing? Krissy68

Name: Aspen8 | Date: Sep 30th, 2008 1:37 PM
KRISSY - The dreaded falling temperatures. UGH! Well, I'm not giving up hope for you this month until you say AF started.

My update - nothing much to report. I'm on cd4 now. Still spotting a bit but AF will definitely be gone completely by tomorrow if not tonight and hubby and I will be getting ready to start bd'ing towards the end of the week.

Hi everyone. How are you all doing?

Name: Kristin72 | Date: Sep 30th, 2008 2:51 PM
Hi Girls,
Krissy ~so sorry about the bfn for now. But remember it's not over till the red lady sings her ugly tune. I so wish this is your cycle!!! Have the faith. I'm rooting for you!! Aspen~..thanks so much for the info on recurrent miscarriages from the Hamilton doctor. (that is quite close to where I live) That is very valuable info. The only thing for me is my body doesn't really "miscarry naturally" When I had a loss at 14 weeks in Dec '05 the heart just stopped beating and my body did not miscarry. I was aware there was a problem earlier on as the baby had an elevated NT at my 12 week scan. I had to have a D&C as my body would not miscarry naturally. The same thing for this recent pregnancy even my hcg kept going up...:( But then again, maybe I would have miscarried had I given it enough time??My other loss was ectopic..so that would also rule out the immune problem..but it is something that I am sure would not hurt to be explored. I am aware of how the immune system can reject fertilized eggs.. I read up alot about that after my missed miscarriage in '05. Since I am rh negative and I have to have rhogam after each pregnancy or miscarriage or any time the blood of the baby could mix with my own. My body can make antibodies if not given the rhogam and would kill off any developing baby. I am tested with each pregnancy for my antibody screen. (I don't know if that is the same thing but could be somewhat similar) Anyway..Both my dh and I are booked to see a fertility specialist Nov 3rd. Myself and my dh will be sent rec's for blood work to be done beforehand. I have a doc app tomorrow with my OB..have not found out the results of my recent beta..I pray it is going down..as a D&C would really suck right now.. I am still bleeding..much less but more like a normal af now. It is my 14th day of bleeding. Other than that...I am basically day 14 of my cycle..not bd'ing this month unless the bleeding stops comletely b4 "O" time..I think we will wait till I get my next regular af and start bd'ing again if everything seems normal. To all the girls here....HAppy bedding everyone..and best of luck to everyone this cycle..I truly hope a bfp is in the horizon for you gals!! Think positive thoughts..try imagining the whole process of conception from the time the sperm meets the egg until it implants ( that's what I did) Best of luck girls!!!

I'm popping to say hi ladies. We really need those BFP's this month. I was really hoping that this was it for you Aspen, Krissy68 and Maxim4 . Nevertheless, this is a brand new month for all of us including our new member Jesslea. So get busy ladies - top up the pre-seed , light those candles and dust off your Barry White CD - your DP's won't know what hit them. Get ready for some some serious lov'n. :)

Kristen72 - i am thinking of you and I am happy to hear that you are getting the tests done and that your DH is being supportive. You will get there because you want this so much. Take it easy and look after yourself.

Baby dust to you all - truck loads of it!! (P.S me DPO7) Ciao xx

Quick hello, ladies. Cd5. The bd countdown has begun.

Kristin, sounds like you and hubby are being very proactive and have all your medical ducks in order. That's great. How did the appt. go today? I hope you don't have to have a D & C and I hope the bleeding ends soon so you can get back to normal.
