TTC twins 2008

Question: Hello all, I am 24 going on 25 (Feb). I have two beautiful, smart, and perfect children (boy & girl). My husband and I have decided that one more pregnancy is all that is really good for me as I have already had two C-Sections. My first baby Tabitha (2 1/2) was conceived naturally and a little bit by accident as I was in my 2nd to last year in college. Rory, my second, 10 mos. Was born via Clomid as I was ovulating irregularly or not at all. The funny thing is, that after I delivered him and went through my whole health nut kick, eating well and doing cardio kickboxing every day, I not only managed to lose about 7 pounds more than I had weighed before my first, but now all of a sudden my cycles are perfect 28 day cycles. We decided to try for our 3rd and miscarried twice in a row. I am waiting for my hcg levels to drop and my next AF to kick in to start again. It was extremely difficult to have a miscarriage the first time and even worse the second (after all I had had two babies successfully with hardly any problems.) I don't seem to have a problem getting preggo it is the holding on to the baby that is getting me. In anycase, I had always wanted 4 children and my obgyn has scared me about delivering 4 children via caesarean(spelling?). I have ordered unprescribed clomid and am anxiously awaiting its arrival. When I was prescribed it for my son Rory, I took it on days 4-8. I am considering taking it days 2-6 this time as I do appear to ovulate normally. I am taking it for two reasons. One because more than one egg might give me better chances of carrying past 8 weeks and two I would absolutely LOVE to have twins to round out my family! Hoping for one of each but will be perfectly happy with whatever happens! Is there anyone else out there trying to concieve twins like me? I would really like to go through this process with someone that I can talk to. Please hold your tutt tutt's as I know that what I am doing and that there are plenty of people out there that disagree. I don't want preaching, but someone to talk to. I know the risks, but am willing to take them. Bryand. ?

Answer: One more note. My mother had fraternal twin brother and sister in her family, I am not sure if there were any other incidences of twins on my moms side or not. I will be taking Clomid days 2-6 and also taking Mucinex and Baby aspirin. I am unsure how much longer it will take for my Clomid to arrive. Perhaps another week? Hoping dearly for a successfull pregnancy, twice as lucky if it is with twins!!!! =

Answer: no judgements here (though I don't agree) but I do wish you and ppl like you wouldn't clutter this board with clomid posts. This board is FOR moms pg with twins (not purposely ttc twins) and those who have already had them. Teddy finch graciously has tried to keep the clomid posts to a one or two threads and we would appreciate it if you would actually READ some of those posts before starting a new thread as the clomid posts have taken over....this board is NOT intented for that purpose. =

Answer: I'm in basically the same situation as you, I have two healthy children, but have also in the last couple of years had three miscarriages. My last pregnancy was identical twins, I miscarried at 11 weeks (Sept 07). I've ordered clomid and waiting for it to arrive, my husband and I both have a history of twins in the family. Any child is a blessing in our family. =

Answer: Hi there Bryandi, I like you am taking unprescribed Clomid in hopes to conceive twins :). I took my first dose of 50mg's on CD's 2-6 i am now on CD 13. I have also had two c-sections (two boy's) and would love two little girl's to "finish" off the family, but i will be happy with what ever i am blessed with, even if it is another singleton. I would love too share in your journey with this as there are not many women out there that are as open to this as we obviously are lol. Anyway, keep me posted. Take care, Linda xoxo =

Answer: twins4us is right ladies. there is more of a chance of your questions getting answered if you head over to the Problems Getting Pregnant? boards as there are more of us over there in the same boat. and for my 2 cents, i think your problem may be low progesterone and not egg count. twins: how have you been? i haven't seen you in a while. =

Answer: My apologies to those I have upset. I only created this one because my searches did not bring up any other thread, but it did bring up the thread from 2005 started by Kim that is no longer being used. I really wanted to talk to someone similiar to myself. Linda, Jackie, I would still like to keep in touch with you, maybe we can try a different thread. =

Answer: Hi Bryandi, like you, I am thinking about taking clomid. I would absolutely love to have twins, however I was initially thinking of taking it for fertility reasons. I have never had more than 6 periods a year, and they generally last 3-4 days, and it has led me to conclude that I may be infertile. I am desperate to get preggo and if I had twins or triplets, that would be a miracle bonus. I would love to go through this experience w/ you. Although I am put off on trying for the next couple months because I am in Egypt with my husband's family, and I'd prefer to conceive back at home, where I am more familiar. But I will keep posting. (And hello to everyone else here, good luck to everyone trying, may you all conceive and carry healthy bouncy babies to term :-)) =

Answer: I'm starting a study on unprescribed clomid and the incidence of multiples among women who use it. I think it'd be really interesting, I just need more participants for the study, so if you're interested email me at X_NIKI.FORD_X at yahoo.com remember theres a period between NIKI and FORD. =
