Morning all. Robyn, so sorry you are having such a bad AF, guess that gives us something to look forward too...NOT! I am sorry to hear about Julie! If you talk to her please pass on that she is in my thoughts and I hope she gets to feeling better soon...Allie, Katie, Jenna, when do you girls test? Lori, have a great trip. Stef, can't wait to hear what the Dr says today. Maybe Ava will be here this weekend. How are you feeling? Cyndi! Where are you? It has been a while!! As for me, did not make it to Curves but did take about a 15 minute walk this morning. Dh is off today and he is working around here and I thought it would be better if I stayed close to the house to help him. He is trying to get my office finished so Bean has a place to sleep in our room. I have a shower on Sunday. I am excited. Have to get things ready around here over the weekend. There should not be too much to do, TG! Good morning to everyone and Happy Friday!

Good Friday morning!!! :) I've been up since 4am again (2nd night in a row of this) and I desperately need to go back to bed but am too wound up since I have my dr. appt. in 3 hours! eeeek! Ava's been pushing up into my left ribs today which is a new feeling for me so I'm interested to see what the dr. says and how big she is.

Good morning girls! FRANCES-thanks for starting a new thread! Have fun at your shower tomorrow! :) STEF-good luck today!!! Please let us know how it goes asap! ROBYN-I hope your AF is almost done! And hopefully next month it won't be so bad. Can you go on BC? That may be something that could help! KATIE and JENNA- almost our time to test! :) LORI-happy camping!! Hope everyone else is doing well!

Stef, I am surprised that you slept as long as you did! I am excited to hear the news. I hope things are progressing well. Allie, when are you testing? Have you been feeling anything going on??

STEF--- good luck at you aptt today! I hope you get some news about little ava's arrival! the waiting is just terrible isn't it?! let us know! ROBYN- so sorry about the heavy AF! hopefully they fix themselves soon! Hey- I was wondering if you wouldn't mind being the one I call/text if something happens and I have to go to the hospital unexpectedly? I'll explain what happened yesterday in a minute, but I figured I would get someone lined up sooner than later just in case! You have been doing so well for everyone else! so if you don't mind (and it's ok if you'd rather not) I think you have my email address and you could send me your #? I know that there is interent at the hospital, so hopefully I will know enough ahead of time to bring my laptop! let me know...oh and so cute about justin and the baby food...they just LOVE it..something so different from formula and baby mush cereal...Mikie devoured all of the things I gave him (well except the green beans!) and the kid still eats peas (real ones not mush) like it's his job! ALLIE, KATIE, JENNA---I am pulling for all of you this month!!! another week and hopefully we have some brand new long awaited bfp's around here!!! how exciting...we need some new babies on the way!!! by the way CINDY"S...how are you both doing???ZEN- only about 2 more weeks nd we will know what team you have in there!!! too exciting! LORI- have fun on the camping trip...we are planning one at the end of August, so you will have to let me know how it goes with brevin and give me any pointers for bringing a newborn!!! alright this is getting long..hi to anyone I missed and i am going to post again with my appt yesterday...

so I am NOT off of bedrest yet BOOOOOO....I don't have to completely lay down all day, but I have not been given any more freedom yet. I got checked yesterday and I was 2 cm dialated. I was 1 cm last week (maybe even 1.5) but I was a good 2 and she said I was really soft and 50% effaced (well we already knew that one!- I've been that way for 13 weeks now!) and the baby's head is engaged. I guess she really didn't like what she felt for a 34 week pregnancy. I was so annoyed/pissed/whatever you want to call it b/c i was going to go to the Tiger baseball game yesterday (wheelchair or walking, it didn't matter to me) and she sent me over to L&D!!!! I had to be on e the monitro for a while b/c apparently whatever she felt made her think that I had the potential to go to a 3, 4 or more very soon! I old her I wasn't contracting, but she wanted to check to be sure. I had 3 contractions (very little) while there for about an hour and a half, but nothing to change my cervix. So now I have to take it easy for another week and go back next thursday...they wouldn't stop labor if it happened from here on out, but they want her to stay in there for at least another week or 2. so back to bedrest...but I don't have to totally lay down, just take it really easy and if i feel any contractions to drink water and lay down! It's funny b/c they don;t even really care about cervical length now...if it's not one thing, its another...so another week of bedrest...if i stay at 2 cm next week, I should be good to go, if not then I will hopefully be off bedrest at 36 weeks--We'll see!

Morning girls, I agree definitely time for a new thread. I just put Justin in his crib for a nap i normally put him in his swing but i think hes getting too big for it so i decided to try him to nap in his crib which is where he belongs to be doing that anyway so the sooner the better. Sometimes i feel guilty for changing things but i know its for the better. The kids not going to be sleeping in a swing when hes 18 to take a nap so better start the transitioning now. Plus what happens when he no longers fits in its period then what. See girls all the fun things to look forward too LOL. SO my AF still remains awful i woke up to my underwear soaked in blood and my pjs again as soon as i get sit up a gush. This has been lasting for like 3 days for the past few AFs so i am hoping that the next few days it will die down though its doesnt feel like that now. SARA - absolutely i am flattered that you want me to be the one to spread the good news i will email you. I am sorry about the modified bedrest i know it sucks trust me i did it for 3 months at the end with Justin i hated it. But its not forever and there will be an end in sight i know you know that. Trust me some days i wouldnt mind just lying in bed again especially when i dont feel well. OH girls also i have had really really bad joint pain since the pregnancy ended so bad that i can barely walk sometimes and i my hands were killing me i thought it was carpal tunnel. So i spoke with a chiropractor and she said when we are pregnant our bodies release a hormone called relaxin and our joints move to accomodate the baby once the baby is born the joints try to go back to normal and sometimes they just dont. I googled this it also has to do with the total drop of estrogen in your body from no longer being pregnant. Well i noticed since i got my AF the past few days i have had no pain whatsoever. I am talking not even being able to lift Justin or walk up the stairs to literally feeling like nothing is wrong with me. I have been taking joint vitamins called Glucosamine i dont know if thats helping but i also dont know if i am getting severe PMS which also brings on joint pain this is all interesting to me LOL. Anyway Stef good luck at your appt today. Try and sleep your days are so numbered LOL

Sara, boo hiss on the bed rest. Sounds like Anna is getting ready! Dh's cousin that is pg is on bed rest this week since her baby is engaged and she is due right when we are. She has a recheck next week. There is nothing going on with me (other than thinning) which is just fine. I want ABJj to stay till at least the 3rd or 4th week of July. Here's hoping! Sorry you missed the game...Robyn, I think the crib is a great place for a nap. I agree that he will have to get used to it as the swing seems to be shrinking! LOL That is great that he is loving food too. Some can be so picky. I hope my little man does not take after me!

Hello lovely ladies. First off update on me and if this post turns into a book I am apologising in advance. Okay here goes ------ I have had my x-rays back and they show Scoliosis of the Spine, double curavature so 's' shaped and thay have said this is often a gentic following or could be due to trauma ergo that damn riding accident. I was beginning to think it was all in my mind! Anyway, the 's' leans more to the left as well and the pain I have had for the past 8 (9 years in August) years is mainly due to the muscle spasms trying to correct it. Fun times. She mentioned surgery which I freaked at but told me not just yet (thanks DrMcQ) but that I need to be x-rayed every two years or sooner depening on how I progress. I am on painkillers and must say the drugs are good! LOL! Bloods came back showing inflamation and I have specialist appointment with GI Consultant on 18th July to discuss treatment/operations etc. I have had bloods back and I am severely anaemic so they are checking for a B12 deficiency (results should be back next week at the latest) since my mother suffers from it and gets injections monthly. She has also been diagnosed with osteosporosis (?sp) in the lower spine and has an MRI on the 17th July. If we were horses we would have been shot by now. Bob can't have chop since they have pulled the funding for sterilisation of males (not sure on females) across the Board in Northern ireland and gonig Private is just stupid money! How the hell do you lot pay for medical care I have no idea! Okay so where to begin with you lot. Hmmm - Robyn AF for me came lighter after Matthew, heavier after Joshua (as in I wished I could die), light with Logan and so far with Imogen nothing. No AF as yet but I did suffer from incredibly heavy periods that lasted 10 days on average and crippled me. What you have though doesn't sound normal at all and I would push to get checked out. Sounds like your lining may be getting too thick or possibly not shedding completely during each cycle. Relaxin has a lot to answer for and is what cause the Pelvic Arthropathy with me during Logan and Imogen's pregnancies. If you are having pain around your hips and pelvic bpne it might be worth getting that checked out as a cause. It needs to be treated or at least monitored carefully. Sara, did they say how far engaged you are? Rule of thumb is once baby is engaged it is usually a maximum of 3 weeks before labour starts in earnest. I would say once you are on your feet to expect little madam to make her appearance soon afterwards. Julie, I am sorry to hear you are suffering from PPD and I hope your Doctor is keeping a close eye on you - not as in bug under microscope but as in any way they can to help. Stef, any news? How'd the appointment go? France, poo on sugar levels. Shower on Sunday - your first? Seriously you should get one more often and you wouldn't smell too bad then! LOL! Only kidding. I hope it goes well for you! Lori, you are a braver woman than me to go camping with a newborn. Not likely - I learnt travelling with newborns is more stress than I needed! Who is soon to test? Sorry to anyone I have missed!

Name: AllieP. | Date: Jun 27th, 2008 12:38 PM
SARA-like Frances said, BOO on the bed rest! That really stinks but you don't want little Ana coming too soon! ROBYN-sheesh woman, do you feel lightheaded or anything? I know i would if i was bleeding that bad. If you start feeling dizzy or anything your iron may be getting too low. Do you take an iron supplement? I hope it slows down some soon! TORY-YAY your back! Goodness girl, i hope they can come up with a good plan of action for you on July 18. I'm glad the painkillers are working for you! Please keep us updated!

I'll come back and read, but I need to lay down now...just frustrated. No progress so she didn't even do the u/s which i've been looking forward to ALL FREAKING WEEK and then said she wants me to just come back next Tuesday and she will check me again. Made it sound like she would schedule me for induction MAYBE next week, but possibly the week after which would totally make my sister miss the birth which is why she is coming here next week. She hasn't been home in 4 years and already got plan tickets. I want to cry.

Name: FrancesM | Date: Jun 27th, 2008 1:53 PM
Oh Stef, I am so sorry! Maybe something will happen over the weekend and she will make her appearance next week. How long is your sister staying? Maybe Tues the Dr will decide to do something and you can get in and have her before your sis goes home. I am so sorry you are frustrated and nothing is going on...

Hello ladies. Wow I have missed a LOT! Stef--Sorry Ava is being stubborn. maybe she will decide to make her entrance early next week! Sara-BOO on the bedrest..You have such a good outlook though, hang in there. Katie--Sounds pretty promising with the cramps..I had some cramps before my BFP this time and I was ravenously hungry about 7 dpo..the progesterone can make you crampy too, but I am thinking you will get your bfp this month! Allie--I sure hope this is your month too, Jenna--What cd are you on? I get SO excited thinking more of us will get their long awaited bfp's, it makes me want to cry (tears of joy of course), we have all had a hard road to get to where we are. Frances--Glad the dh is back to help you get your furniture settled for ABJ. As for me, hubby still can't stop attempting to maul me.LOL. I told him to wait unitl after week 12 is over, and he is counting down the days like a child before Xmas..and my sex drive is NIL..He went with me yesterday to Old Navy to buy some preggie jeans and we parked in the spot 'reserved for expecting mothers' and I got all weepy eyed about it. They actually had some nice low rise pg jeans (LOL..low rise will be interesting in another 3 months) that weren't hideous. the other jeans I had seen at Penneys and Sears were ACID WASH..I want comfort, but I HAVE STANDARDS. I have my big u/s Tuesday at 1, and I am excited and nervous. I still have the nausea off and on througout the day and wake up in the night starved and bursting to pee, so I feel that all is well with little peanut :) My dh had his blood drawn Weds for the cf carrier test. iread the chances of him carrying it are 1 in 25 or 96% chance he doesn't have it and if he does have the gene, the child has a 25% chance of the disease. I am praying that he does not have the gene. for once the internet research didn't freak me out! My brother has a child due Aug 1 and there is a 50% chance he is a carrier of the cf gene as well, same slim chance his wife is a carrier, so we are going to hope their little one is ok. Geez, I never thought this would be a worry of mine. I knew mu cousin had a child with cf, never thought it ran on my mom's side of the family, I thought it was from my uncle's wifes gene pool. I will have to tell my child to be tested whenever he/she decides to have children as they will have a 50% chance of being a carrier. My poor mom never knew she was a carrier! We have been thinking of names and have a girl's name : Caleigh Renee. Boy's name: all we got is Alexander as a middle name. I like the name Kellen or Daylon..but hubby is the picky one. I have missed you ladies a bunch , sorry to yack your ears off! have a wonderful weekend. +++Cyndi+++

Hi ladies!! I hope you are all having a wonderful Friday. Sara - sorry to hear about you staying on bed rest for another week. I sure hope it will end soon. I am glad that you are not confined to the bed any longer. I sure hope that little one stays in there for a little longer. Robyn – I am sorry to hear about af. That truly is no fun. I hope the joint pain gets better. This is the first I have ever heard about joint pain after pregnancy. I think it is a good thing to be aware of. I sure hope af leaves soon and your joints gets better. Frances – I hope you have a wonderful shower this weekend. That is so exciting you are getting closer. Tory – it is so good to hear from you. I am sorry to hear about the Scoliosis of the spine. I really hope you are not in to much pain. Stef – I sure hope your little one arrives when your sister arrives. When does your sister come to town? A lot can happen in the next few days. You never know when your little one will decide to arrive. As for me I am almost done with work so I can get home for a run and clean the house. DH is working late tonight so it is just Zipper and I at home. It should be a nice evening. It is kind of cloudy out today in MN so I think clean the house would be a good option. Tomorrow we are working on the kitchen and yes we started this project a few months ago but life gets busy and now we have little time to work on it. I am on CD 18 and 7 dpo and I am so excited to see what my chart will do over the next few days. My breasts are a little sore but who knows what that means I feel that they are sore all the time. Today my temp sky rocketed to 98.4 which is crazy because it has never been that high before and no I didn’t have any alcohol nor do anything different that I normally do and I am feeling fine so it is crazy. Yesterdays temp was 98.10 so I am getting a little excited. I just can’t wait to test. If anyone gets a chance will you go out and look at my chart. Anyway, I will try to check in later. I hope you all have a great day. Jenna

Maybe she will come the day your sis gets here and then you will have a whole week together !!!! FRANCES...how are things with you and baby....I hope good. Tory....I am sorry you are going through all that. Sounds like a lot medically !!! I hope you are ok. And your mom. ROBYN....af;s after having kids are terrible, especially if you bf. My peroids did the same thing...the first couple of days were gushing and bleeding through everything, then it would calm down. This lasted until I was done bfing...so maybe you can talk to your doc about it to see if there is anything you can do. KRISTIN, LORI, ALLIE, SARA, HELLO LADIES....I hope I didnt miss anyone. I am doing well...Carson is growin well and kicking like crazy. I think he did an actuall flip today. I am now 31 weeks and can not wait to see my son !! OK..I must head to bed. NIght !

Happy Saturday Girls! STEF-ugh! Maybe your sister can transfer her tix to for a few days later without getting charged? I did that once and for some reason i must have gotten a really nice person and she let me transfer them without a charge. Is your sis good at putting on a sob story?! CYNDY- FX your DH blood comes back negative! Old Navy and Gap have the cutest maternity clothes and actually Target does too! I just told my DH last night when we were shopping I am so excited when its my turn to start shopping for maternity clothes! If mail weren't so expensive it would be cool to start some kind of maternity clothe exchange with all you girls where we pass them along when we each get preggers. JENNA- your temps sound very promising! I didn't temp this month because i thought i was getting the trigger shot and i'm on progesterone so the temps really wouldn't mean much! ROBYN-thanks for the pictures! Justin is as adorable as ever! SHELLY-wow, 31 weeks I remember last fall when you were announcing you were pregnant! FRANCES- i'll say a litlle prayer that ABJj stays put until the end of July! Hope everyone else is doing well! sorry if i missed some of you! It's early for a Saturday morning but have lots to do today! Have a good weekend! Oh KATIE-when are you testing?

Name: stefkay | Date: Jun 28th, 2008 8:16 AM
Morning girls! ROBYN, Justin is so cute and he is getting to be such a big boy! omg, I saw that first picture and was like how old is he??? He has such a cure smile and has this look with his eyes that makes him look much older than he is :) ALLIE, I wish my sis could do that but the reason she is coming over 4th of July is that she used up all her vacation time already from work she she needed to take time off around a day she already had off. It's not even a whole week she'll be here...it's really just Thursday, Friday and Saturday. She flies out on Sunday so that doesn't leave much time for her to be here for the birth. TORY, I'm so glad to hear from you! I'm so sorry about all of the back problems....agh! Jessie had horrible sciatica for a while when he was working a job that required lots of heavy lifting. He cried at night when trying to sleep for months and it tore me up. He didn't have insurance so all we could do was go to ERs and they wouldn't give him crap except for motrin which you can buy over the counter. He ended up tearing up his stomach nearly from taking so much of it because it didn't work well. Thank God it finally subsided when he changed jobs and had some chiropractic done. SARA, I am sorry too about your news of bedrest :( It sounds like we all got some unexpected and unwanted news lately, lol. It's so amazing that you are 34 weeks already though! It sounds like you could have Anna pretty soon. Well, I am probably going to veg today OR if I can get my ass off the couch, go to the mall and walk or something.

Name: Tory1980 | Date: Jun 28th, 2008 9:08 AM
Stef, how far on are you now? Isn't the reason for the induction to stop you going into labour on your own - the labour needing to be monitored due to blood issues? Am I correct? If that is the case your doctor is playing a dicey game - just because this is your first does not mean she will come late. You only have a few days really before Ava could be making an appearance. Don't forget Matthew came early and I didn't have half the issues surrounding you. Where are you in terms of dilation/effacement? Has she said? You need to be 2cms+ for them to break your waters. I read you and Jessie have finally managed to have sex - getting your leg over (did he manage that?) must have been interesting after all this time! Another position with beachball between you is flat on your back, hips raised with numerous pillows and him between your legs. No weight on tummy, comfy for you and him and gets the sperm right next to cervix and can help soften it a little more - also good for trying to conceive. Waiting until Tuesday confuses me unless she expects you to go quickly. Has she said abourt baby being engaged yet? If so how far down? Ask her to put you in for an induction and give her the reason why. She knows you are going to be induced anyway, you are pretty much at term, baby should be a good size and if they are worried about lung maturity ask them for steroids but she probably wouldn't need them anyway. This is what confuses me - an induction has to check for lung maturity even after 37weeks but if you go into labour on your own they won't stop you. Strange. I suffer from sciatica too on and off (thank god not continuously) but when it hits I am in agony and my legs have a habit of going out from under me. They used to inject me but it wasn't doing much good so I stopped them. It is very strange and incredibly sore. i am sorry you had to watch Jessie in that kind of pain. As for me they have given me Diclofenac and Co-codamol for now with a gel rub called Powergel (ketoprofen). They seem to be working but they make me feel very spaced out so not liking the effect too much. She said she can up the dose if needed. Fun, fun fun. Shelly, 31 weeks? Wow! Time is flying! I still can't believe Imogen is 7 motnhs!!!

Name: stefkay | Date: Jun 28th, 2008 12:19 PM
Tory, I'm confused by the whole thing too at this point. She said all along that she would "probably" induce me a week early so that I can stop the blood thinners the day before. BUT, she said that if I went on my own we'd be ok because at the hospital they can just check my bloods and make sure everything is ok before giving an epidural (the only concern really is with an epi). She also explained that I am on such a low dose of Lovenox (lowest dose available) that basically my blood isn't thinned all that much. All of my blood tests so far are coming in normal she said. At my 37 week appointment I was 1cm dilated and 70% effaced. Same at my 38 week and same again at my 39 week appt. yesterday. She said due to my history of m/c and the medication she doesn't really want me to go past my due date, yet in the next breath she said that after she checks me again on Tuesday and does the u/s to check growth that she might schedule the induction for early the next week --which is after my due date--so go figure? So my due date is this coming Friday, July 4 give or take a day by my dr's estimates. That is pretty right on since I had so many early ultrasounds and I know when I conceived. The dr. never once mentioned checking lung maturity or anything like that. Only said she'd do an u/s to check growth and I'm guessing she is just waiting for my body to show labor progress before bringing on the pitocin or whatever.

Hi Ladies!!! Allie – Thanks about my temps we will see what happens. I sure hope this your month. When do you think you may test? Stef – I am hoping that it will happen soon for you and you will be holding your little one in your arms while your sister is here. Well ladies I just wanted to stop by really quick and tell you that I really think I am pregnant I am on 8 dpo and my breasts are getting more sore like the other two times I was pregnant do you think it is to early to tell. I know it sounds crazy but I can feel them by just sitting here. Anyway do you think it would be too early if I tested on 10 dpo, which would be Monday? I wasn’t planning on testing until July 3rd. The reason why I want to know before Friday is because I want to get on progesterone before the 4th of July if this is the case. I know I am having high hopes, which in turn could make me feel bad at the end if I am not pg but I think I am. Totally crazy I know. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks - Jenna

Hi ladies.....Sorry it's been so long since I have posted....I have been in and out of the hospital with kidney stones. There is not much that can be done with them during pregnancy except for pain managment, and even that is limited. I can't believe I will be 28 weeks on Tuesday. The time is flying so fast. So many of us are so close already. I will not be able to check in very much, as I have been in alot of pain due to the stones. I will however post at every chance I get. I hope everyone is doing well.....Bye for now.....

Name: stefkay | Date: Jun 28th, 2008 2:59 PM
Hi Leslie! Take care of yourself and your little one. Kidney stones sound absolutely horrendous :( JENNA, it sounds good! I would test easily at 10dpo, but i'm impatient too, lol. If you test at 10dpo use a FRER (First Response Early Result) test as it is the most sensitive! I'm so excited...but you always know too that if it is negative just wait 2 days or so and do it again. I know it can be discouraging, but your symptoms sound promising!

Name: stefkay | Date: Jun 28th, 2008 6:05 PM
Tory, I forgot to add too about the baby that she said at each appointment that she's "dropped a bit more" but hasn't said anything about head being engaged. She hasn't given me a station number or anything like that either....just the dropped a bit comment.

Name: april baby | Date: Jun 28th, 2008 7:14 PM
Stef - Thank you so much!!! I always use FRER tests. I so appreciate you telling me that I think I am going to test on Monday June 30th at 10dpo. I am so excited. I can't wait. I sure hope you are progressing along today July 4th is right around the corner. I think that is when you are due or is it the 5th. Thanks again! I think someone else will be testing that day also, maybe Katie or Allie. Well ladies I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. Jenna

STEF, I dont know if I mentioned on here but I had contractions all day and night before going to the hospital in the middle of the night/early the next day. When I first got checked I was only 2cm dialated, SO I am a firm believer in cervical progress not meaning much. I am so excited for you!!! I'll be out of town on your due date so if you have her within a couple of days from then I may miss the big announcement but I'll keep you in my thoughts!

Name: Tory1980 | Date: Jun 29th, 2008 5:17 AM
Stef, cervix means nothing in all honesty. With Matthew I was posterior, firm and no dilation 3 days before he was born! Logan's induction was firm, 1cm dilated posterior position and it took 5 hours for him to show once they started the pitocin and broke my waters but that was after 2 gels which EVENTUALLY got me to 3cms after a night of constant contractions. I know about one girl (in the bed beside me with Joshua) turning up complaining of contractions(they kept her in because she lived 2 hours away from the hospital) and they put her onto the ward - she was having mild ones, spaced apart and no dilation or softening. 3 hours later she delivered her baby on the wards toilet floor! That was her FIRST! Usually they can't tell actual station until waters have gone so they can feel the head properly but as for engagement that can be felt during routine palpatation of your stomach. She is confusing me though over the whole induction thing and I am not there! LOL! It looks likely though that she isn't going to touch you and let you go on your own. Inductions here are discussed around 39weeks so you have a plan if you go over. I know one woman whose babies never come before 43weeks (certian on conceiving dates etc) - it seems her's just take a little longer to cook! If you are on the lowest dose of blood thinners etc maybe phone and say about stopping them now just in case. You may not get time in the hospital to have bloods checked and results back if things move quickly and if an epidural is definitely your port of call for pain management then maybe this is the way to go. I can't believe you are about to have Ava. Sunk in yet? Panicing? Relaxed? Completely bricking it? How is Jessie holding up? You realise you are about to be a Mum and a Dad? Parents? You are soon to be responisible to a very tiny little person who is going to rule your world! Remember sleep is a luxury from now on - rest as much as you can over the next few days! Leslie, OUCH on the kidney stones. They given you pethedine? A woman was in when I had Logan and for a few days until they got the meds correct for her it was the only way she got some relief. Bob had them last year (remember his fall and no one knew what was wrong with him?) and he was given cyclo-morphine (?sp) and still asked for more meds. he was STONED out of his tiny little brain and was still asking for more drugs. The funniest thing was he turned to me, took my hand and said 'If this is anything like childbirth I am sooooooooooo sorry I put you through it three times and soon to be 4!' I told him he wasn't even close and was only in the early stages of contractions! LOL! Men! Still he was in agony god love him and it was only because his blood pressure was 144/104 that they though the pain he was having might warrant further investigation! Idiots! Anyway, Leslie I hope you are taking it easy and unfortuantely like you said pain management is all they can work with for now - especially at the stage you are at. I am hoping though the stupid things pass soon and you will get some relief. Take care hun. Robyn, I have been reading up on your problem of heavy periods and so far none of it sounds good - it can be a sign of major iron deficiency (and more likely with blood loss you are describing) and because you are anaemic you bleed heavier which it turns make you more anaemic (catch22!!!), it can be an infection of the womb or can be a sign of left over tissue after the birth i.e placenta still being in the womb. Go speak to your doctor - please please pretty please? - as it definitely isn't normal. You expect a heavy period as your first, maybe even second AF after childbirth but not to the excess you are describing. Even after stopping BF'ing I have NEVER had what you described. The only time I have had bleeding like that was when I had retianed tissue after losing the baby and they ended up having to do a D&C. Cyndi if Imogen had been a boy she was goiing to be called David (after Bob's dad since Logan has James as a middle name - my dads and grandads middle name) Alexander. We debated about calling him Alexander David but we weren't sure on shortening it. There could have been an Alex, an Andy, a Xander etc and we preferred it as a complete name if that makes sense. Jenna, 10DPO you may get a negative even with FRER tests so don't be put off. I have NEVER gotten a positive before 14DPO - even testing earlier so go figure. If you do get a negative just test a few days later but make sure it is with FMU or at least after 4 hours between pee'ing with little fluids! Good luck and early congratulations if you are!

Thank you Tory! Yeah, I feel better about the dilation thing after reading what you and Kathy wrote. I know I could go anytime regardless, but I just don't feel a damn thing in the way of "labor signs", but neither did my mom so I know we don't all have that. I think you are right on that the dr. probably doesn't want to induce now before due date really and she's probably thinking/hoping I'll go on my own. I'm too scared to stop the blood thinners now as I'm just a worrywart. It would probably be ok, but probably isn't good enough for me. I'm just scared I'd get a blood clot or something right at the end and I'd rather go without an epi than have something like that happen. I also don't like this slowed down movement thing...she has definite moments of not moving much at all if any and then she'll be like she's trying to claw her way out, lol! I tried to explain that to the dr. and she explained how they have more squirms and such now than kicks and jabs and I was like I know that, but this is different. She still does kick and jab, but it's in definite on off patterns. Oh well, I have my doppler so I use it a lot and it's been very consistent. I just want her out here! I totally know how you all felt at the end now...

Stef, don't worry about the movements as that is all complertely normal. The fact you are having good readings off the doppler is a good thing but if you are really worried bug the life out of your Doctor on Tuesday to check baby head to toe although expect this scan to be difficult and everything won't be as easily seen (although features etc are all there) simply due to the size of baby. They weren't able to tell me that Imogen had the cord around her neck and even now it is still red 7 months on. They had to cut the cord as her head was delivered and that should have shown in the scans as it had obviously been there for a while. The wrapping around her body they can only assume happened during her rotation and delivery itself. Unfortuantely babies and child birth are the one thing that can never be planned for and certainly all avenues must be considered. Nothing is ever straight forward. The sleep patterns take note of since this could be her sleep pattern once she is out and about. Sometimes they tell you baby gets very quiet on approaching labour - conserving energy etc for the job ahead so watch for other signs. I can't believe you are that close after everything you have been through to get her here. I hear you on the panicing over blood thinners etc but I would be panicing about the epi more than them! LOL! Don't you want to experience the rip curdling screams of childbirth, the threats to kill the significant other, the threat to his anatomy and ANY mans anatomy within reaching distance, the belief that God just screwed you over completely - there is a price to pay for multiple orgasms and childbirth is it! I am only kidding with you. Joshua's labour was the only one I asked for drugs and as quick and as many as they could give me but going from 4cm-10cms on one contraction would probably do that to anyone! LOL! My mum told me that since you are trying to birth a watermelon out of something the size of lemon to expect pain (on My Wife and Kids it was referred to a tennis ball out of a hose pipe today!) and lots of it! I guess I was lucky. I keep teasing Bob that I want number 5 (I DON't but it is fun to see his face) but it is more to get people to back the f**k off and leave us alone. Have you ANY IDEA how many people say things along the lines of 'Is that you done now?', 'You got your girl finally, you stopping now?', 'Haven't you heard of contraception?', 'Don't you think 4 is definitely enough for anyone?', 'Finally a girl huh? Is that why you kept trying?'. Have you any idea the amount of times Bob has grabbed the back of my jumper/coat/bag handle etc and pulled me away from them? What part of boy or girl there was no more? That we were happy with having her safe and well? People can be asses I tell you! Anyway, hope all you ladies are happy and well!
