Morning all. Hey Stef, hope things are going well for you this morning. Looking forward to hearing all about it. Great numbers Katie. Jenna, that sucks. Did you say you were going to call the Dr about any of this? Allie, are you going to call the Dr about your short period this month?? I really hate hearing all these AFs arriving. I am a grump today my DH is being a DH. Men!

Name: katie37 | Date: Jul 8th, 2008 9:49 AM
ALLIE are you going to call the doctor and try to get in and find out what is going on? JENNA, that sucks that she showed. I will be rooting for you guys this month. FRANCES, sorry to hear that DH is being a butthead. LORI, how are you today? Are you still getting settled back in from your long trip?

Name: AllieP. | Date: Jul 8th, 2008 9:54 AM
Great numbers Katie! they really skyrocketed! Jenna-sorry AF came! We can be cycle buddies this month. I'm only on CD3. Frances- I did leave a message this morning at the doctors. I basically said my period lasted two days and the first day was medium flow, the second light and today just spotting. I said i started the Femara today but was wondering if the doctor was concerned about possible scarring why he didn't recommend another sonohysterogram to check for scarring. In my mind that would make sense to check for any scarring first. Right? Maybe i'm jsut being paranoid. But then again, i think back to way before i was pregnent the third time and i remember a couple months my AF's being really light. Maybe this is how i am supposed to be? I don't know. I wish the doctor would just do a damn shg to rule out the scarring so i'm not sitting here fretting about it. Now i'm not sure if he can or not since i started the Femara. Not sure if the saline u/s would screw anything up. Its all very frustrating and not fair. Oh and to top it all off not only did i find out someone i know from home is preggo but now my other g/f just emailed me last night saying she is. Im just highly depressed at the moment. It's been way over a year for me now, with there miscarriages, three D&c's. Its just not fair. Sorry for the boo me vent session girls! Hope everyone is dong well and soon we'll hear from Stef! Can't wait to see pics of baby Ava.

Allie, I am so sorry that you are down. I wish there was something I could do to help you. Maybe the Dr will call back with a suggestion. I know that you are frustrated that 2 more people in your life have popped up pg. Try not to let it bother you even though I know it will. I know that your time is coming and then YOU will be the one emailing everyone YOUR good news. Hang in there the best you can. Let me know what the Dr says.

SARA, yes I have a set of fraternal twins. They are 16 years old. My appointment is scheduled for the 18th of July which is a bad day in retrospect because that is the same day that I had my D&C last year. What a coincidence! I hope it turns out to be a better day. ROBYN, I hope it is just one. I'm too old to have two little ones at the same time. So you think a Girl for me? That is exactly what my dh wants. I will be happy with whatever we are blessed with. No word from Stef yet? I'm sure she is doing great.

ok i got a call back from the nurse and she told me that if the doctor was really that concerned about scarring he wouldn't be prescribing me femara and trying to get me preggo. She also said though u/s's don't show scarring they do sometimes show an uneven, almost bumpy outline of the endometrium if there were adhesions in there. She said my u/s's have nice smooth lines and the doctor only mentions scarring to patients as only a possibility so they are aware. She went on to say all periods are differnt and i need to relax! She said if i don't get pregnant maybe next month they will do a sonohysterogram or another hysteroscopy to check for scarring if the doctor thinks thats what needs to be done. So for the moment, i'm supposed to sit tight, continue with the meds and try and get preggo! She's right in def one respect, why would the doctor want me to try for a baby if he thinks I couldn't carry it? So that made me feel a bit better.

ALLIE, at my last visit with my doctor I mentioned Femara to him and he was clueless as to why a doctor would prescribe that to a woman trying to concieve. He is only a OBGYN though so I'm sure your RE knows better. I'm glad that you are feeling more at ease now. Take it easy and start plotting out the sex on the calendar.

Name: FrancesM | Date: Jul 8th, 2008 11:26 AM
Allie, I am glad you heard back from them. I hope you can breathe a little easier now. You and Dh need to get on the ball and get it on sister! Let's (well not me and you...lol) make a baby!! Woo hoo!!

Name: katie37 | Date: Jul 8th, 2008 11:44 AM
ROBYN, I just found an article of a study that was done which states that females have higher HCG levels initially than males. Is this why you are thinking girl?

Name: AllieP. | Date: Jul 8th, 2008 11:58 AM
Katie-just curious, do you know why your doctor was clueless about Femara? I know it's a newer fertility drug and its not supposed to have the side effects that clomid does. thanks Frances! I know i just need to relax!! Sheesh I can't help feeling paranoid though.

Name: katie37 | Date: Jul 8th, 2008 12:02 PM
I don't know why he said that. He looked it up in his little medical journal and I think he said that it was used to treat some cancers. Weird huh?

Name: AllieP. | Date: Jul 8th, 2008 12:23 PM
Its werid that he didn't know about it but if he's in the "old school" frame of mind and not up to date on the most current fertiity meds then i can understand. Femara is used to treat cancer too.

Name: katie37 | Date: Jul 8th, 2008 12:28 PM
Yeah, like I said he's just an OBGYN but a very good one. I'm very happy with him. The nurse is awesome too. Yesterday I went to the lab to get my blood drawn and the stupid place was closed so I went to my OBGYN's office and the nurse took me right in and did the draw. I was soo happy. If I would have had to wait another day I would have been out of my mind. I have to pick up my dd at the airport this afternoon so I wouldn't have been able to get another draw until tomorrow. But all is well and I don't have to go back for anymore blood draws. Until my official appt of course. SARA how are you feeling today? You have an appt tomorrow right?

Report from STEF- She started the pitocin at 6:30am, dr. broke her water at 9:30am and her contractions are getting harder. She is waiting to have her cervix checked and to get epidural started! WOOHOO STEF!

STEF and AVA--Best of luck to you today, can't wait to hear all about it! KATIE--AWESOME numbers..seeing that you already have twins..maybe you are having twins again? At least one thing's for sure, you have high numbers which mean this little one/ones here to stay! ALLIE--I am so sorry to hear your worries about scarring and your short af. After my hsg is when i got pg and had a chemical and then the next month had the surgery and my periods were all screwed up for about 3 months. I am sure your doc feels that your uterus is free of scarring else he woulldn't hesitate to do another hsg. Sounds like your nurse was reassuring (which is a nice change, usually they are so NOT helpful, right?) and I beleive your body is trying to get all ready for pg. And having friends around you announcing their pgs doesn't help and DH's gung ho next month attitude (though well meant on his part) also makes it suck worse. It's ok to feel sorry about it and pissed that you want a baby now, not next month, I know I have felt every range of emotion before with losses ranging from hoplessness, despair, rage, and most of all, "WHY ME?". We are all here for you and will be your cheerleader all the way through! My same sentiments to you, Jenna. I am sorry that bitch AF showed and sorry that you feel like you are dealing with this on your own. A loss is a loss, and you saw your bfp and you feel the loss the most. I am hoping you can get all your bloodwork done and pinpoint what is going on with your body. If those results are good then you will probably have an hsg to see your anatomy and last testing after all else is good is genetics. I am hoping the best for you that you can be on your way to hanging on to a little bean ((hugs)) JULIE--Thanks for the well-wishes, hope you are doing well! LORI--Hello there woman, hope you are doing great too! FRANCES--Sorry your hubby is being a peckerhead... I went back to doc's yesterday for a blood draw for down's and spinal bifida, and they told me that we would have to redo the u/s to get the correct measurements as it had been 4 days, and i was like, YAY!! I get another u/s! ( I wasn't even nervous..I have come a LONG way). LItttle Peanut was just chilling this time with it's little hands on it's face and the tech was trying to get peanut to move to get the measurements and peanut was not cooperating. I think the little one was asleep. After much poking, peanut started kicking it's little legs and moved its head. I was in love all over again! The hr was 161 this time and had 4 days growth. I know I am early, but I swear the last couple of nights when I am lying quietly on the couch, I feel this faint sweeping motion in my lower abdomen. From the u/s I know this is where lil one is..It isn't very strong, just like a rubbing feeling..almost like little bubbles ? Hope everyone else is doing well.+++Cyndi+++

ROBYN, yes that is our Amanda. She and I have been emailing for a while now. I am very happy that she finally got her +. She was so ready for it. I suspected she was and I think she did too but did not want to get her hopes up. Thanks girls for the update on Stef. She wants to be sure she is covered with her info! LOL Sounds like she is just chilling right now and that is good. I guess her body is going to rest before it gets geared up to start pushing...I have another friend in Atlanta who went in today at 8 to be induced and I have not heard yet on her. She is having a boy.
