These blood cells could be used to replace the blood cells in a person who has leukemia, bone marrow failure or certain other blood diesease and disorders. They are also researching it's uses for the repair of damaged organs and other various cell therapies. so you see donating cord blood can save life and it is also painless and free of charge. i have signed up for donation of my baby's cordblood. And also the cord blood generally is thrown away so why not donate it instead. ↑
