I went for my first u/s last week thursday and at the time I thought I should be 9 weeks pregnant going on my 10th week; When the Dr. went to hear the heartbeat, she could not find it so she suggested an u/s right away. On the previous visit, the other Dr. (two in one practice) had told me that I shouldn't be alarmed if on the next visit I did not hear the heartbeat because my uterus was tilted backwards. So I didn't worry too much. When the Dr. did the u/s she said it was very blurry and could not be sure if there was anything there so she sent me to the hospital to have a stat u/s in the outpatient center. So they did a regular u/s and a vaginal u/s and apparently there was a yolk sac that measured 8 weeks 2 days but no fetal pole. When the Dr. got the results, she called me to tell me that there was no pregnancy and I should consider my options of miscarrying. I am so confused! I have had no bleeding and I still feel nauseous but I have lost the breast soreness. She gave me no hope into thinking that there may be a mistake in my dates. I told her I wanted to wait a week to see if I miscarried on my own and she agreed. Any advice?? ↓

You should ask for your hCG levels to be checked. Simple blood test. You will give blood and then wait 48 hours to have another test done. Numbers should double. This will tell you for sure what is going on. ↑
