Answer: yup it happens, but you wont even know, They dont tell you, they dont make bad faces at you. It just happens its not big deal. They clean it up and move on, what do you expect when your pushing that hard. Dont worry about this, there is other things you should worry about. Pooping should be the last thing on your list. =
Answer: Like Cevvin said, if you do you will never know. Make sure to tell your hubby not to tell you the truth even if you ask. Worked for me. I have no idea if I really did or not, and everyone I asked has said, "no". It is such a small thing, don't give it another thought. =
Answer: I’m due the 19th and I wonder about that also. People say you don’t care when it is happing but I really don’t want to I think that I would be horrified!!! =
Answer: Trust me, you will be so concentrated on pushing that baby out, and if your not, your not pushing hard enough. You wont notice. =
Answer: try to make pooping the last of your worries during labour =
Answer: I didn't. A lot of women get rid of it all before labor really starts (I was one of those, lol). I know I didn't because my hubby would NEVER let me live it down if I had. We'd still be amused by it. Of course my SON pooped while he was coming out, so maybe he made up for it, lol. At any rate, don't worry about it. There will be so much other gunk coming outta you, you won't notice. GL~ spam =
Answer: Honey if it happens you will never know because they change the pad out so fast and you will be so distracted you won't even care! Don't worry - unless you have an empty stomach when you go into labor it could happen but that doesn't mean it will happen to you - just relax you are in the home stretch - besides no one makes a big deal out of it anyways! =
Answer: I gave birth for the first time this past november. I worried about this too until I THINK it happened but didn't know for sure because the nurses/doctors don't care, certainly don't tell you, and if you do, TRUST me, it's the LAST thing on your mind. You will quickly learn that you just don't give a shit about that!! =
Answer: I'm due at the end of February with my thrid child and I still worry about this. I'm not worried about whether I'll know or not. If it were just the doctor/nurses and myself in there, I would care less since I don't have to see them again, but it's the rest of the people that will be there such as my husband and mother-in-law. I figure, my mom will be in there, but she's my mom and has seen it all before, but there are no circumstances in which my husband and especially my mother-in-law should ever see me poop! And being that this is my third child, there wasn't a point in time that I stopped being self-conscience about this. I thought about it between each and every contraction! How sad! Lucky for me I take a ton of iron pills everyday and we all know what that does to you so if I can't go when I'm supposed to, I figure I probably won't when I'm not supposed to either. At least that's what I'm hoping for! =
Answer: OMG please don't worry about this. Once the time comes for you to push the baby out I promise that's not what will be on your mind! I know there was a post about this before. My cousin was a L&D nurse and she said it happens ALL the time and they think absolutely nothing of it if it does they just kind of brush it aside and it doesn't cross their mind again. I don't think you will go full fledged #2 but some people may go a little. Do not worry about it! With my first son I made the mistake of giving into the nurses and getting an enema (which was not a small fleet it was more along the lines of an IV BAG of fluid they pumped into me)...it was AWFUL and made things more miserable and I would not recommend it...oh and I still went #2 a little bit (pushed 30 minutes). With my second son I didn't go at all but he was out after the second push. Good luck to you all and please dont worry about this! =
Answer: My Lamaze teacher told us that the reason women poop is cause when the baby is pushing it's way out, it's squishing your rectum. So whatevers in there kinda just gets pushed out cause of all the pressure baby's head is putting on it. When you put it like that, it made me not so worried about pooping, cause I know there's nothing you can do about it, it;s out of your control. =
Answer: Everyone worries about this before they have a baby. I don't know anyone who actually cared when the time came. =
Answer: You know, I was terrified of this also. Before the contractions started kicking my ass, that's all that me and my nurses would talk about.. I told them how freaked out I was that I'd either pee or poop while I was giving birth.. They all literally laughed at me and said that they've seen worse, and if you do poop, they know that you are pushing correctly. They also laughed and said "hey, then you're making more room for baby to come out!" ... I ended up pooping a bit, and I didn't give a care in the world... When that little guy was put on my chest, the only thing I could think about was how happy I was that we had both made it safely.. :) It'll be ok, I promise! =
Answer: 4 times and its never happened to me!! Seriously I really didn't know it could - duh! -- until my last child and I was on this forum!!! I know it won't happen to me because my body totally empties itself in the hours before labour - or the hours of labour? - don't worry about it though...beautiful baby coming your way!!! =
Answer: im onto my 4th pregnancy now and it only happened to me with my 1st baby and i honestly didnt care, nobody batted an eyelid just cleaned it up and got on with the delivery. it may not even happen to u huny so i defo wouldnt stress bout it xxxx:-) =
Answer: haha, i don't know if i did either. But try not to concentrate on that otherwise you will never get that baby out of there. I was self concious about it happening so i tried not to push out my bum and just the front but it really didn't work, the one nurse kept yelling and saying i wasn't doing it right, lol. So once the nice nurse came in i just gave it everything anyway. I probably did because i remember them wiping something, but i had barely eaten that day because i was at the hospital most of the day. =
Answer: Well everybody is right .., this should be the least of your worries.. however i didn't first time around...so good luck...wish me some too on baby #2...but you do, you do, as for me....a healthy baby is ALL that matters!!!! =
Answer: Trust me, you will NOT care. You probably won't even know if you do or don't. The nurses and doctors don't give a shit either. Everybody including YOURSELF are worrying only about getting that baby out!!! =
Answer: I didn't, but I have heard it is possible. I would suggest going to the bathroom before labor, if possible. Ask your doctor about a enama or a laxitive (Make sure to ask first some can hurt the baby) But honestly I wouldn't worry about it. Everyone is really professional about it. =
Answer: i remember asking my mom about this before i got pregnant & she laughed and told me not to worry about it that it doesnt really happen.
now that i am pregnant and worrying about labor i asked her again and she laughed and told me she only lied bc i shouldnt worry about that. lol
im not worried, its just a little embarrassing and i dont really want family members to see that. =
Answer: Yep it does. Your'e pushing, if poop's in there, it'll come out! :-) I didn't know I did but apparently I did a bit when giving birth to our first child (we have five and he was the only one I pooped with). I was mortified afterwards when DH told me, MONTHS later when talking to an old friend. I don't remember how it came up but he said, yes you did! The nurses just quickly took the pad underneath me away and got on with things - they've seen it all before, who cares? even though we do! :-) Really, it's nothing compared to holding your gorgeous baby. Don't worry about it otherwise it'll ruin your experience if it's on your mind :-) =
Answer: Even if you do you won't even know and trust me you won't care! My DH says I didn't with our DD but to be honest I don't care even if I did I was pushing for 2 hours and just so relieved when she came out healthy and well! I'm sure the midwifes see it all the time too. I threw up a couple of times I know that much (too much gas and air!) but again I'm sure they see it all the time it's all normal during childbirth :-) =
Answer: It happened to me and I really didn't care. lol I heard the nurses laugh about it. Shit happens. hehe =
Answer: With my daughter I was induced, because I was 12 days overdue. The induction took 2 days,so I had already gone beforehand.I was proud of myself, nothing embarrasing happened.I had a mirror the whole time so I knew i didn't.But even if I had,That was not what my mind was on at the time.Trust me,you don't care what you do,or who sees you you just want it to be over.lol =
Answer: I talked to my b/f about this last night and he was laughing I told him if I do he cant EVER bring it up again! I dont care about the dr's and nurses but he will probably give me crap about it =
Answer: HAHA! Ya know, it didnt happen to me, because when I first went into labor I had the urge to go "poop" on my own, and was in the bathroom 3 different times...before I even went to the hospital. But I have heard of that happening, and the nurses see that all the time, so it's not something you should be embarassed about..I take it this is your first? You wont be embarassed when you are about to push and give birth, TRUST ME, that will be the last thing on your mind.!! =)) =
Answer: If you've got a good doctor, they've seen it before and you've no need to worry. But in answer to your question, yes, it has been known to happen commonly. =
