Ok ladies, ive read that it is possible to get pregnant on the pill so heres my situation. I was on the pill for 6 years with no problems went off of it and had my son. Hes 81/2 months now and ive been on the pill again for 5 months. For the first time on the pill ever im about 2 1/2 weeks late, i took a few tests all neg. my question is has anyone been in my situation and what was the outcome?

i know some people say you can be late etc on the pill but in my 8 years of taking the bcp i have never been more than a day late and i beleive that is my own fault if i missed a pill or took it late etc. I would prop go to your dr if its that late and your getting neg hpt for them to check out whats going on. ↑
I hate to break it to you, but I got preggers on the pill. I was on it since I was 15 and had no problems. I never missed a pill or even took one late. I did however take antibiotics, which I specifically asked my doctor about and he said it would not have an effect, and lone behold, that week is my conception week. It does warn you against this on the bc pill, but I started taking the pill way before I was even having sex (irregular cycles) so I didn't ever read that stuff and always just asked my doctor when it applied. The medicine I was on is called Macrobid, I know of two other people personally, and several on line, who have traced back their conception to the usage of Macrobid, many many more who have been fine, but definetely enough that have beome pregnant that a doctor should have been able to correctly answer me. Keep in mind that even without the usage of antibiotics the pill is only 99.9% effective, which sounds great, unless you're that 1/1000. As for the negative test results, mine came back postive as soon as I tested (which wasn't til 6 weeks since I thought it was impossible) however one of the girls that I know was told that because she was taking the pill for so long it had lowered her hcg... but I've never been told that so I don't know for sure. But don't freak out because since your son is so young your body could still be readjusting. I'd say take a blood test at the drs. Good luck ↑
well im not too worried either way but the not knowing is whats killing me. im not sure if i want to bother getting a blood test because i always thought that most of the home tests out there are just as accurate ↑
