I am 29 1/2 weeks into my second pregnancy, and the last few days, my chest has been tight, especially when I am laying down. I was wondering if there is anyone else that is having these kind of symptoms?!?

Hi, I can relate to what your saying. In speaking to my nurse- she says this is normal. She said to expect to feel very short of breath, even feel heart palipitations (sometimes i do!) - Your organs are moved around, your diaphram is squished, there is pressure on your lungs from all the room the baby is making for themselves... Your heart is working harder- as you have 50% more fluids in your body than normal- including 50% more blood. Thus, your body is working very hard- just to function normally. Plus the extra weight your carrying. Sometimes, I feel like an hour goes by and I'm struggling to get enough air. I try to change positions... I take deep breaths, etc. eventually it passes and I can breathe better and I don't think about it anymore- till it happens again. If your worried, ask your doctor or nurse. I think it's pretty logical, thinking of how our innards are pushed all about... My nurse said - that's why you should never sit next to a pregnant lady in the movie theater- all you'll hear is her breathing. Kinda funny...
