I was looking into this and Cordblood Registry and Viacord both say it is basically the same collection procedure with "comparable volumes"
I hope this helps! ↑

Yes you can. I had a c-section with my first and used Cord Blood Registry and the doctor was able to collect the blood perfectly. ↑

my doctor said you could not collect cord blood during a c-sec. Something about too much possibility of blood transfer? But basically he said, there is too much risk for contamination and it may not be viable. ↑

I had a c-section with my frist child and will have to with my next. Cordblood Registry's website said they collect after c-sections. ↑
Katherine: Umbilical cord banking is where you extract and store the stem cells that are in the umbilical cord when the baby is born. They are stored (or "banked") for your use if the baby or another family member becomes sick later on. For more info, I suggest going to www.parentsguidecordblood.com
It is a great and unbiased site! ↑
