| Answer: I am seven weeks along. My OB explained that cramping is very normal. Its very easy to confuse gas with cramping, as well. Don't be concerned unless the cramping is severe for several hours, accompanied by bleeding, or brings you to tears. Good luck! = |

| Answer: Beth, blood in the urine is a sign of a bladder or kidney infection. I have had this happen and she should be seen to recieve antibiotics. Blood in urine has nothing to do with the pregnancy, only the urinary tract. If she lets the infection go, she will develope a kidney infection and these are very painful and make you VERY ill. | Answer: Like many here, my wife was experiencing cramping like she was having her period and it turns out was indeed several weeks pregnant. Her "symptoms" included a particularly localized origin of the cramping on her right side. Turns out she had an ectopic pregnancy in her right fallopian tube. She is having surgery tomorrow. So please, consult your OB/GYN esp if the cramps are especially harsh in one spot. There was no bleeding or any other indicator, so beware. = |
| Answer: I should also say, that before going to the doctor, we did a home preg test and it showed a faint positive line only after 20 minutes (when you're not supposed to read it anyway)...the test they did at the hospital also showed only a faint positive...this may be a danger sign of sorts...bottom line, if you experience the localized cramping or are unsure about something, don't wait, go to your doctor! = |

| Answer: I am about six weeks pregnant, and I have been having some relatively mild cramps as well--and my doctor did say it was normal. Even if you have a little blood with it, as long as its spotting (the same as the lightest day of your period or less) you're ok :) Good luck everyone! = |

| Answer: My last period began 4/03.Almost two weeks ago I had spotting for several days (no pain). | Answer: Yes you can get cramps, headaches, etc, while you are pregnant. I did for like two weeks. And i posted a message earlier on this board, and i just recently found out that i am 9 weeks and 8 days now pregnant. i am due on Dec 7th. | Answer: I posted on this site when I was 5 weeks because I was getting cramps a lot. I'm now 8 weeks and my cramps have reduced a lot. I feel really bloated now. I read that if it's your first baby, then your uterus is expanding for the first time and that's why you'll get a lot of cramps. Haven't checked this info. with my doctor, but made me feel better. = |

| Answer: Cramps are normal everyone, its your uterus growing to make room for the baby. It eventually will go away if your pregnant around the end of the third month beginning of the 4th month of pregnancy. It usually ends around the same time as your nausea does. Mine ended then, and it starts a little bit now only if i stand up or sit down really fast now. = |

| Answer: You could be 5 weeks gestation and 7 weeks pregnant. It's weird, but you count from the first day of your last period - so, for the first two weeks of your pregnancy you technically aren't pregnant. = |

| Answer: YES!!! I just found out a week ago that I was pregnant!! I ended up in the hospital because I started to bleed BAD passing some tissue. SCARY!!! They did an ultrasound and thy told me that the baby was in the uterus. Thank God!! I have history of ectopic pregnancy...not good at all. Therefore, the doc told me to take Tylenol for the cramping. Now I am worried again cuz I just went to the restroom and passed some more tissue (sorry too much 411) very tiny the size of a grain of rice.Does anyone know if this is normal for now??? | Answer: Yes, Cramping is normal to happen in pregnancy. I am expecting my 5th child and with every pregnancy I have cramps, and heavy pressure on my left front side. I have been told by previous doctors this is very common and not to worry. If bleeding occurs with the cramping I should see the physician. Bleeding has also accompanied the cramps with my other pregnancies and everything still was fine. I have 4 healthy kids. = |
