Question: My docotor said that I was one finger internally and a finger tip externally dilated. Does anyone know what that means?? Thanks in advance. ?

Answer: How far along are you, Casey? I go next week for my 36 week check-up and they're going to check me to see if I'm dilated. I hope I am. I think you are probably about 1 cm dilated maybe... I don't know, they didn't tell you a number? =

Answer: That's a lil strange but you are prob i cm no matter what its one finger whether its fingertip or not-you're looking for width anyway not how far in he can get just wide so u would be 1 =
Answer: well one finger tip is almost one cm ...... but not quite =
Answer: i would guess 1 cm too. a lot of Drs measure by the finger widths and then hand width during labor. next time ask the cm and ask the effacement. =
