Question: okay i am still leaking milk....got a negative just a little bit ago...and i was wondering has anyone gotten a negative this close to missing a period?and then a few days later gotten a positive ?

Answer: You are leaking milk? Have you recently been pregnant? Honestly, unless you have recently been pregnant you are probably either leaking proteins from your breast (no big deal) or you have an infection (which should be seen by your doctor) . . . As for testing, every woman is different. Some women get their BFPs as soon as 9dpo-10dpo. Other women have to wait to miss their period and on occasion some women will get negative hpts until a week+ after their period is due. =
Answer: hi thanks krissy, well i had a baby a year ago, and stopped breastfeeding 2 weeks after i had him, i dont think it is an infection, im fairly positive its milk bc well ive had milk before, i did this w/ my first son as well but i just dont want to get to excited that the milk means pregnancy... =

Answer: Hi Kre87. I breastfed my daughter for about 4 months and it took me almost 18 months for it to dry up completely. When I stopped breastfeeding, I spoke to my doctor about it and she said that even if you only breastfeed for a short period of time, your body still produces it and it takes a while for it to stop. As for taking a test...I took a test one day before I was late and got a BFN and then again at 2 days late and got a BFP. It's possible. =
