Hi Guys, This is my first time online, bear this me. We have been trying for 3 1/2 years, took clomid day 5-10 and then 3mg of another drug days 10-14, can't remember the name. I am very sensitive to any hormonal imbalance, about 4 months after I stopped taking the drugs, I had hot flashes, anieixty, dry skin ( peeling off like a sunburn on certain parts of my body), basically felt horrible. I am doing much better after about 9 months, the dr put me on birth control and my hormone levels seem to be nearing normal, 6 months ago my fsh was 19, now it is 6.8, prog is still alittle low. Anyway, my question, We have been monitoring my cycles and I don't seem to be releasing my eggs, dr now wants to try a shot to trigger rupture and try IUI, since we don't want to try anymore drugs. Has anyone had any weird side effects from the HCg shots? Any help would be appreicated. Thanks

if you have problems with the hcg hormone, then pregnancy isn't for you. hcg is the hormone made naturally during pregnancy and yes some women do react to it. i didn't, but every woman is different. are they doing ultrasounds to monitor follicle size?

I didn't have any side effects from the hcg trigger shot. I don't think most people do, but I don't know that for a fact. Well, the only thing that I felt was a little pain where my dh stuck the needle in my butt (it wasn't that bad though) and then Ovulation pains a day or two later.
