Hello Chris & Mimi (and of course Ashley). Just waiting to O. Have to admit taking the clomid at night has really helped my head aches. so far no other side effects. Hope you all are well.

Chris, i had internal ultrasounds before i went on clomid, i was dignoised with PCOS which poylycystic Ovarian Syndrom, which doesn't allow me to release any eggs. Sorry i can't help you out to much there. I was only on clomid for like 4 months! and i got pregnant with twins on 100mgs. But my ob had me taking the clomid on days 5-9. Which is later then what most women do. But hey it worked, i just wanted to get pregnant, i never expected twins. Good luck and keep me posted, let me know if u have any more questions!

Hi ladies. I started 100 mg of Clomid this cycle. When I went for ultrasound on day 3, doc said there was a cyst on my left ovary and I would have to stop the Clomid and start a week of birth control. I cried the whole day. Has anyone else had this experience? Also, I am a fraternal twin with history on my mother and father's side and would love to have a set myself.

I just found out I am pregnant! I was taking 100mg of clomid and had IUI. They did a vaginal ultrasound that showed I had 3 eggs that were mature so now I am waiting to see if I will have 1,2 or 3.

I got pregnant on 50 mg of Clomid, taking days 4-8 with TWINS. This was my 3rd cycle. I am currently 14 weeks pg, with 2 healthy babies, dont know what they are yet though.

DanaWiz - Can't wait to find out how many you're having. Congrats!

I just went thru my 1st round of clomid and didn't get pregnant. I'm going for IUI next time, which we didn't this time. So maybe it will work for me too!

I was on clomid for one month and became pregnant with twins. I am 13 weeks. Twins also run in my family.

Name: Dana | Date: Aug 25th, 2005 3:36 PM
Kelly, can I ask why you were taking the Clomid?

Name: mommien2girls | Date: Aug 25th, 2005 10:10 PM
We have been ttc #3 for 12 months with no sucess. My ob is starting me on clomid 100mg my next cycle days 2-6. Just wondering if the earlier you start clomid in your cycle the higher chance of twinning it. :)

Hi! I was wondering if any of you ladies could answer a question for me? My md is putting me on Clomid and said I only have a 7-8% increased chance of having twins. But I'm wondering if it may be greater as my father is an identical twin and my mother was PG twice with twins. I, also, have a cousin on my mother's side with twins. What do you ladies think? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

I have heard the chances for twins increases 10% on clomid. My husband and I are waiting on his "analysis" and then I will begin my first dose of clomid (50mg). Only have had 2 periods in 9 months. I guess it's a toss up on how long it will take to get pregnant and the chances of multiples. Good luck to all of you--wish me luck too!

Hi, everyone. I have 3 healthy children, 1 boy & 2 girls. My older 2 are from a previous marriage. I had a miscarriage last November & we decided that we would like another child. I miscarried due to very low progesterone. I got pregnant very easily with the other 3. My doctor said today that next month I go on clomid to help. I was just wondering if I may have twins because I usually get pregnant so quickly. Seeing your posts, gets me a little excited! I think twins would be awesome. My older 2 kids are 11 & 8. The baby is almost 2. What do you gusy think base on your experience. My ob also does infertility.

Hi, is anyone out there. I took an ovulation test that says that I am ovulating today. I am not supposed to start clomid until Oct. I am a little nervous about the thought of twins. There is no history in my family.

Name: yas2000 | Date: Sep 14th, 2005 6:08 PM
tanya..what is your query????..so your ovulating but naturally..no twins in family so there is a small chance (very small perhaps) for you to get pregnant with twins...what exactly is it that you wanted to know????if you dont bd with your hubby in the next 24-36 hours you should be fine get af in approx 2 weeks and then can start your clomid in new cycle...am confused as to why you write???

Name: tanya | Date: Sep 16th, 2005 3:17 PM
Yas, I was just wondering what my chances would be of having twins. It seems that the clomid does increase the odds. I will be waiting until my next cycle to start clomid. There are quite a few people here who conceived twins on low doses. Are the odds really that high?

You are NOT supposed to take Clomid and Fertilaid/Vitex. They counteract each other and cancel each other out.

Tanya, I am in almost the same boat as you. I have four children and have had four miscarriages. We are trying for one last child and my RE prescribed clomid to help correct leutal phase defect (this along with progesterone injections). I also get pregnant very easily and wonder about twins but my RE assured me that twins rarely happen regardless of normal ovulation. Maybe we can go through this together; I am on day 14 of my 1st clomid cycle.

I've been on clomid for 3mo. now. 1st 2 mo. 50 mg days 5-9, 3rd mo.100mg days 5-9. 1st mo. w/ progesterone. 3rd mo. w/ ovulation shot. Had u/s w/ several follicles. I have high prolactin levels causing infertility...anybody else out there taking clomid for this reason?

Name: Cindy | Date: Sep 17th, 2005 3:23 PM
For those of you who DID conceive twins on clomid, what is your age? I've learned during my research that older women are more likely to conceive twins. I'm curious to see if it is true here.

Name: Michelle | Date: Sep 17th, 2005 9:13 PM
Morgan- I was also having infertility problems due to high prolactin levels. I was put on Dostinex 0.25mg once a week to lower my levels and to get my body back to normal. Then I did 4 cycles of Clomid with no success. We then tried Femara for 2 cycles and are now pregnant with twin boys by taking 5mg on CD 5-9. Hope that helps.
