When did all of you go in to have ultrasounds? What days? My OB said I have to call on day 28 if I have not gotten my period and am not preg.

Michelle, I wish you the best! I won't be able to start my first clomid cycle until October. When the Dr decided to use clomid, it was too late to start in Sept. Keep me posted. It is nice to have support! ↑
This is my first cycle of Clomid. I'm taking 50mg cd5-9. I have one more day of it. I have experienced alot of headaches, but taking Tylenol usually helps.
I have a friend who had both of her girls by Clomid. She just had one at a time. Are twins really this common? I wouldn't mind getting it all over with in one shot. ↑
I am starting clomid next month, My husband's sperm will be inseminated. I would love twins!!! I lost a baby last year at 21 weeks. Anyone know what I can do to increase my chance of twins. ↑
I just got back from the doc today, and she has suggested i try Clomid. Im 24 and 2 years ago was found to have polycystic ovaries. From what i read most of you ladies have had multiple births. My husband is a twin and we would love to have twins...... I just curious to hear if many of you ladies had pregnancy symptoms before missing your period and if so what were they??
Im currently 24 days into my cycle. and my cycles very from 25 - 35 days usually.
I really want to try and conceive without clomid and say to myself to give it one more month before i start my clomid cycle..... ↑
Kate Congrats! What dose and says were you taking clomid. If have repeatedly read that the earlier you take it the more follies, however, there is a common thread on this post of 5-9. I am still trying to figure out which days I will take mine. Good Luck for a healthy 9 months! ↑
Kate - congrats you are a few days ahead of me however I don't know yet if there is more than one. However not feeling that there is. I took 100mg days 2-6 what dose & days did you? Also have you had any m/s or other? Why did you have your u/s so early? thx for sharing. ↑
shannon yeah I took clomid days 5-9 and had an early ultra sound because of the previous miscarrages and the docs just wanted to be cautios I was on 50 mg ↑
Kate - wow you were on a low dose too...any twins in your family? congrats to u. will u find out what you are having? do you have any other kids? do you mind to tell us your age. As I know the older you are the more your chances are increased for mult. ↑
Hey ladies...just an FYI...since it relates to Lauren's post. I saw a study done on Clomid use and it stated that Multiples were more common among women under 35 than they were among older women, when multiples were achieved due to Clomid. Just a thought. ↑

Julie - good to know I'm under 35 by a couple yrs so heres hoping! However I don't feel the twin thing at all. Not to mention my friend who had them said she was out of her reg. clothes by 10 wks. Told me theres no way I was carrying them..oh well. one heathly one is fine too.

I will be starting 50 mg. of clomid in two days. This is my first cycle on the drug. I miscarried a baby in September. A friend told me that it is not uncommon to concieve twins and then miscarry one (on clomid or not). Does anyone know if this is a true statement? I am very nervous. ↑
hi all. i just found out that i had PCOS a month back. my period stopped in july. got it back with the help of primoloute n and again missed it in october.primolout n again and got it. my gyno wanted me to take clomid 50mg on cd 2-7. yesterday was my last pill..waiting for my v.scan on the 12th day.. :-) would love to have twins too. anyonw with pcos who conceived succesfully ???? i am kind of scared though... ↑
Ravini - I have PCOS and dont' ovulate on my own at all. I have concieved 3 x's with clomid (first was a single pregnancy, second ended in miscarriage and third was twins delivered 9 weeks ago at 38 weeks, 1 day). I would have never concieved without the help of clomid. I was also taking metformin and also took robitussin about 4 days before I expected to ovulate. Good luck!! ↑
I have PCOS and I am on my first round with clomid. I do have a a 2 1/2 yr old with out any help (my miracle baby) I am also on Glucaphage. I am on day 15 of my cycle, not sure when I will O though or if I have already. My husband and I have been beddin every 2-3 days. My husband wants twins really bad, I'm quite not sure. melissa- congrats! that's great news. my v.scan is scheduled 2morrow.how long did u take clomid and what strength? i hope 1 cycle will work for me coz i heard it can cause cancer.my mom passed away with blood cancer... i was wondering if it might increase my chances of geting cancer... ↑

How long have you been taking clomid before you started the injections? I go next Tues for Sono to see if I am Oing. Am on 100mg days 3-7. Any advice as when I should start the shot if it comes to that? ↑
Brie- i just took clomid 50mg once. Got my HCG injection today (CD-13)(which is also the first time).Got one 23.6mm follicular as per CD12 v-scan.. should be o'ing in another 33hrs. anyway the o' test is due on the 8th of dec to see if i realy o'ed or not.. i think it would be best if u can check with ur gyno about when u should be getting the shot. mine was at CD 13 at 9 AM (LOL the timing needs to be exact as well)as far as i know the shot needs to be taken close to the day of mid-cycle. let me know how u r doing... ↑
I will be starting clomid soon,I was diagnosed with PCOS about 2 years ago. I had gone off birth control because i didn't get my prescription refilled and didn't get my period for about 6 months, so my doctor started doing tests for PCOS. Not getting my period is my only symptom of PCOS. I am just wondering if there is any one in the same position as me and that have gotten pregnant single or multiples? I really am hoping to get pregnant and I hope it doesn't take too long. I'm 23 and can't wait to be pregnant. Any advise? ↑
Malisa - I have PCOS since july 2005. Thats the only symptom i have too.. am 28. I was never on the birth control pill though. my period just stopped coming and each time i had to take "primolute n" to get it back. I too want to become pregnant. Doc put me on 1 cycle of clomid. I had a follicle of 23mm at the end of the 1st cycle. i was given pregnyl injection on CD13 to make sure i ovaluate. i dont know if i am preganant yet. but i can tell you after the 18th :-) ... dont lose hope... cheer up and be happy coz its importatnt that your mind is free of worries :-) good luck. ↑
Ravini- Thank you so much, it makes me feel better talking to someone in the same position as me. I went to the doctor today to get results back from a semin alalysis and x-ray of my fallopian tubes. They came back perfect, so i will be starting provera in 2 days to bring on my period, and once i get it i will start clomid. i feel very excited. my doc said it may take a few months to even start ovulating on clomid, so i'm not getting my hopes up to get preg. right away. what is the pregnyl injection, i haven't heard of it? Malisa - Dont worry, like i told you.. i had the eggs maturing on the first round of clomid. It doesnt mean that just becoz they are mature that it will be released in to the fallopian tubes (ovaluation). The pregnyl injection is given when the eggs are mature to make sure they are released within 36hrs after then injection. your firtile time would be 3 days from the 36 hrs ending.Thats when u need to try for a baby. will keep u updated. ↑
Sounds like you are moving in the right direction. I am 26, and the only symptom I have with PCOS is no periods (no ovulating). I am acutally a little underweight (107). So the whole PCOS thing came as such a shock.
This was my third month on Clomid and my latest dosage was 100mg. Doc said most women will not ovulate on 50mg, but they hav to start at that dosage. He said only 7% will produce follicles on 50. So I went today for my V-scan and I have one great follicle on my left ovary. I had a bunch on my right, but they were too small. He said I should O on Thursday. I will have to go back for a progesterone test a week from Fri to make sure I did ovulate. If not, they will give me the HCG shot the next time, still on 100mg of Clomid. I am so anxious, so I know how you feel. It feel like forever. I have found that I have to celebrate my successes! So far, the only ones I have had are when I actually got my period from the prometrium. This time, I get to get celebrate a follicle.....:) Hopefully it will make it's move into the falopian tube. Things will absolutely work out for you and for me, we just have to have faith and be positive. Please keep us posted on your progress. I wish you lots of luck! ↑
