| Answer: ive got one question... did you get diarehha(sp) at all. i was told you can get pretty nasty from castor oil' = |
| Answer: I was told that the baby could be born with muconum, that you shouldn't do that. Did yours? = |
| Answer: It was Annas choice to try the castor oil and it worked for her. You have your opinions and so does she. I have heard both good and bad experiences from different women. Conrats Anna!! = |
| Answer: I think Anna had a right to use caster oil as does anyone, especially at 40 weeks and some, some women have a harder time then others waiting for baby to decide, due to pain, and discomfort that in my opinion, doesn't and shouldn't be drug on further than needed. I took caster oil myself and my baby was born as healthy as any other baby. There are alot of different opinions on the topic, and alot of different reactions, but as Lindsay put it, people have their own choice and opinions so no one should feel bad about trying to help themselves start their own labour. = |
| Answer: i don't think you should drink any kind of drug until you see a doctor it could effect the baby i think only doctors know cause i don't think you know you should just let the baby come out when he or she want's to? = |
| Answer: I' 38 1/2 weeks and I tried the castor oil w/ Pepsi. All I got was a serious case of diarrhea!!! But I'll try it again in a couple of days. I geuss I'm impatient. = |
| Answer: i tried the castor oil and got bad diarehea for 13+hrs the contractions didnt even hit hard i know i wont try it again.ill let nature take its course = |
| Answer: I just read a post that said to forget inducing and just wait the baby will come naturally. Inducing labor has been around for ages and inducing naturally is the best way. My sister-in-law lot her baby three days before her due date, he was born stillborn but otherwise perfect. The doctor said had they induced a week earlier he would have been born healthy and alive. So when my sister gave approached her due date in late July she used Evening Primrose Oil orally and as a suppository as directed by her midwife and she delivered a healthy baby girl with minimal pain and a very short labor two days after following orders. All of my female family members have induced either through castor oil, fletcher's castoria or aceite de tiburon (shark's oil). Its perfectly natural. = |
| Answer: KatsKlau that is very sad, if it's true, but the odds of that happening are slim to none. = |
| Answer: my mom told me about that she used it with my sister but she drank thw whole bottle and went into labor right after. i plan to use it to = |
| Answer: I used castor oil when i was pregnant with my twins. it took the whole bottle but after a lil diarrhea, and a couple of hours i went into labor. Two healthy boys! = |
| Answer: Hey ladies, none of you are old enough to know this it seems...however castor oil (which is NOT a drug) was OFTEN given to woman when they checked into the hospital to have children. My mother is 71 and the doctors gave her castor oil with all 4 of us girls. I've personally been loaded with drugs that are "standard practice" for halting premature labor. And these DRUGS that the hospitals give are 1. NOT approved for use on pregnant woman. and 2. Have not "adequately" been tested on humans OR animals!!! = |
| Answer: Castor oil was given and considered safe once upon a time, but it isn't now. The risk might be small, but it's there. Cigarettes, booze, cats, etc were not considered big problems back in the day either. Does it mean they're safe now? If you must do something to help things along, try sex and walking, not castor oil. Don't tell me you want the baby out bad enough to risk hurting him or her. That's crazy. = |
| Answer: point is, with anything, you MUST weigh the risk vs the benefit. I chose to allow the hosapital to stop my premature labor with commonly used drugs, not approved. Breathine is not made 4 stopping labor nor tested as such, but it works on some woman. Procardia, same story, and the magnesium sulfate...some hospital wont even use it. A full term, past due date baby had extreamly low risk. I personally would not try castor oil, but anna should not be judged so harshly. Also got an issue with cats dont touch the fecal material, booze? Common sense and moderation same for cigs. Know the facts not the scare tactics and hype. Then be smart about your choices. - MD = |
| Answer: Just found out today that I am gestationial diabetic - pretty bad I think since I am on 4 shots of insulin a day. I am fearing that my baby will get too big if I wait to term. My last babe was 8lbs13oz, and I had a really hard time. Castor Oil sounds like a good alternitive to me. I have been having lots of sex but only slight period cramps - any other suggestions, ladies??? I am very open minded, just don't want to have a big baby.....could cause an emerg c-section. = |
| Answer: I was told by two different doctors that castor oil wont cause meconium, the danger is that you may end up dehydrated if you get diarhea. Or you may go into labour while you have diarhea (dont know the spelling) which would be extremely inconvenient as well as dehydrating. I've never known anyone personally that it worked for, but if it works for you, great! = |
| Answer: Jay, I too had GD and my doctor induced early. Talk to your doctor before trying to handle things yourself. = |
| Answer: im glad some of you were mature about this subject. im not forcing you to use castor oil im just saying if you are ready and so is you baby have your membranes stripped and then take 3teaspoons of casor oil and see what happens good luck ladies = |
| Answer: Hi Copper - now that I have learned more about gd, I will let nature take its course. Can you answer some questions for me? Why were you induced early? What were your sugars like and did you get them under control? Was your baby really big? Was he taken from you at delivery or did he/she room in???? Did the diabetes go away? I was told there is a chance that it could stay after????????? Thanks. = |
| Answer: Anna I'm with you I used castor oil with my last daughter and she came out perfectly healthy. And now I'm doing it again I'm 38 weeks pregnant and I took some castor oil earlier today so wish me luck. = |
| Answer: I'm not saying it's for everyone, but when I got to term with my son I did use castor oil one time. I started having contractions the next morning. Lucky for me I used it, because if I had waited there could have been serious problems or even stillbirth. My son had IUGR (my placenta had stopped growing and had actually started to calcify) and was only 4lbs3oz. My doctor somehow had no idea he was smaller than he should be. I
just "knew" that the baby should come now. Now I'm 19 weeks along with my second and you'd better believe they're keeping a close eye on this one's size. By the way, I did everything by the book so if anyone's thinking of ragging me about "what did you do wrong" it wasn't my fault, just my placenta's. = |
| Answer: im 5 days overdue and tried the castrol oil thing and i woke up with 1 to 2 minute apart contractions for 7 hours straight but didnt have the baby cause the babys head wasnt far enough down to break my water
= |
| Answer: What is castor oil, and where can i find it. Today is my due date and i'm more than ready to have this baby! = |
| Answer: i hope everything works out with you rita... and castor oil is a laxitive andd you can get it at any drug store...dont take to much or youll have the poopies!!! i only took 3 teaspoons GET THE TASTELESS KIND!!!!! = |
| Answer: castor oil is really nasty. i tried it and it did absolutally nothing for me but gave me really bad diarrhea for a long time
= |
| Answer: My midwife told me that I could take castor oil when I reach 40 weeks. She said that your body wont go in to labor if it isnt ready, so there would be no point in me doing it before 40weeks.
She is an intellegent (i know, i know, i totally cant spell that word!) experienced midwife who believes in natural therapy and who doesnt go overboard on anything. I believe her when she says this is a perfectly safe thing to take. She said it just stimulates the muscles down there and yes it does give you diarreah but she also said that is a good thing as it clears you out for birth. She told me only 1 tablespoon tho. Castor oil is no more dangerous than eating say 15 prunes, or dried apricots, or anything else that gives you the runs!
Anne, its very sad that you go on this site and basically abuse people! Ive seen your name everywhere. Dont you know us preggy women are pretty sensitive at the moment! haha You could tip someone over the edge with your nastiness.
What about peace and respect and all that? lets be happy xoxo = |
| Answer: I too have used castor oil to induce labour at the advice of my doctor I was 38 weeks. I chased it with orange juice, 11 hours later I had a healthy, huge baby boy. I wasn't being impatient, i was scared had I waited till my machine determind due date I would have ended up having a 11-12 pound baby. He was born healthy, happy and beautiful and no muconum until after of course. My doctor suggested this and encouraged it. = |
| Answer: well ladies, im 36 weeks measuring 38 weeks. my baby is already 7 pounds and im not due til 9/13. i am 3 cent. and 60 percent thinned out. and i have tried everything to go into labor. i already have a 2 year old. I have had sex and i have walked and i have even ran in place. i havent tried the oil but my cousin did it and it didnt work for her. when u figure it out please let me know cuz im sooooo ready!!!. = |
| Answer: Crystal-
I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN!!!! I am 39 weeks. And convinced that the baby is never comming out! She moves all the time like shes trying to get out, but I think shes just putting on an audition for us and teasing. I have tried sooooooooooo many different things as well the help induce labour but im am convinced that nothing works. I am convinced that it just happens that the one time you do try it, baby decides she/he wants to come into the world and that we think that is what made the labour begin. I give up on trying, I will still try the sex to help soften the cervix from what I hear but even that is hard with this big belly in the way!!!!
= |
| Answer: this is my first baby. i was diagnosed with a biconuate uterus and was told since the beginning of my pregnancy that i would have the baby a couple weeks early. so..... here i am at 39 weeks and still no baby. i would love to induce, but the fact of the matter is that we are all pregnant and that is not the most comfortable state to be in. god is the one that is in control with this life. he has formed and created it inside you and he knows when it needs to stop surving in our wombs. its a huge test of FAITH. the unknown is scary because, lets face it we all like to be incontrol. but this we are not incontrol of. we all know that we wont remain pregnant forever and soon all the pain, heartburn, and all other "stuff" will be gone and a beautiful child will be here. i complain too but logically its not in our hands. = |
| Answer: midwives actually suggest using castor oil if you are due!they did for me- altho i didnt do it coz i wasnt brave enough to put up with thetaste!!haha = |
| Answer: i want to try the castor oil i am 34 weeks measuring 35 i know im not ready at all yet but wanted to know what everyone thinks the earliest to take the castor oil should be. or are there any other methods to induce early besides sex because i havent had sex once my whole pregnancy since my husband left me the day i told him i was pregnant. = |
| Answer: Melissa, there is no point taking the castor oil unless u are full term (40wks) Believe me, Ive tried. It does nothing for you unless you are already dialated.
Your body wont usually go into labor if it doesnt want to so no amount of trying will do anything!
As for the sex thing, well an orgasm works just as well and you dont need a man to do that......if u get what i mean ;)
having an orgasm stimulates the muscles round the uterus.
good luck :-) = |
| Answer: I took 3 teaspoons just as u did and went into labor 5 hours later = |
| Answer: I should admit that before subscribing to this forum i didn't even know that there were ways of inducing labor..i'm going crazy too after reading all this stuff about castor oil, red raspberry leaf tea and all, some times i say to myself let me give a try, but suddenly my inner feelings tells me what if some thing goes wrong and i hurt my baby? i'm 37 weeks 1st pregnancy and also impatient, but what i think most is i want my baby healty and i'm responsible for his health a slight mistake can make me hate myself for the rest of my life..just my opinion.
after all i never experienced any difficulties rather than UTI and YEAST infection and one of baby's kidney is still dilated which i'm praying to God to get better after birth..i had an U/S today and baby is doing fine his lungs are practicing breathing, he's 6lbs 3oz..i blve i better leave it in God's hand..thank u = |
| Answer: melissa dont do castor oil yet its to early your baby could have serious problems. = |
| Answer: oh i know im not ready...i might try it in a few weeks b/c i am getting to the point where i get so tired just walking to the bathroom or to the kitchen...it hurts me to even flip over at night...i am a tall but thin person and all the weight ive gained is in my stomach he feels so heavy like im going to tip over lol.... = |
| Answer: Well with my second child, my doctor told me to take 4 tablespoons of castor oil, 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream, and 8 ozs of pure orange juice, I ate a large meal, then about 3 hours later I started to get diarehha after about going 6 different times, I fell asleep and woke up about 1 1/2 hours later and was having strong labor pains, had my son that next morningon my due date 3/6/03!!!! = |
| Answer: Hi I'm 34 in a half weeks..... I already went into preterm labor 4 weeks ago. I was on meds but the doctor took me off. I've been in so much PAIN these last few weeks I just wont it to be over do you think it will work for me? or do you have advice????? = |
| Answer: i am 39 weeks and feel like the baby is never going to come out but she was breech up until 2 weeks ago i want her to come out any advice. = |
| Answer: baby jamiri dont use castor oil now. you dont want to have your baby now. its to early. if i was you id wait til i was about 38 weeks because you dont no how well your baby will be. and if he/she comes out with any kind of problem you will never forgive yourself. and plus it mite not work since your so early = |
| Answer: Since the day i mentioned these type of natural remedies to induce labor to my hubby he doesn't even let me walk anymore in fear that i might be trying to do so..he totally warned me about these herbs, castor oil and all..he says the baby will come when he is ready and he wont forgive me if some thing wrong happened.. = |
| Answer: well im 36w 3d and i started taking the evening primrose oil capsules to ripen my cervix...in no way is this supposed to induce you i was told but i go to the doctors on thursday and we will see if it works...i take 3 a day and started yesterday but you only take them for up to a week and then im going to try the castor oil if the doc tells me that my cervix is i guess you could say ripe... = |

| Answer: I am 31 weeks and measuring 34weeks . I seen a few that are having the same problem as me .How does the Dr really tell how many weeks you are . Help me plz = |
| Answer: stacie.. from what i know the dr tells how far usually by your dates or if your unsure by the ultrasound . there is a program that they enter the measurments and it give them your edd. i believe the earlier the ultrasound the more reliable to date. i unfortunately am 37 weeks and measuring less than that. however ultrasounds arnt an exact science either i was told by my dr they could be 1-2 weeks off. hope that helps in some way. = |
| Answer: Kay this is the 1st time this has happen to me tho .All of my kids were measuring what I was to be at. I just found it odd that this one is off by 3 weeks . And I am has big a house lol. = |
| Answer: . hehe my prayers are with you . you probably have one BIG baby in there. hehe = |
| Answer: So what you are saying is they are going to stay with the date from the ultrasound . And some where in there is 3 weeks missing this suxs . = |
| Answer: when i was 38 wks i was measuring 38 weeks. when i was 39 i was measuring 34. i went yesterday i am 40 wks measuring 36....my doctor told me that it means that the baby had dropped. = |
| Answer: My Dr told me the last time I went that this was Normal . I don't understand how it can be with 3 weeks missing .I go back the 14th so well see i guess = |
| Answer: HI its me again. I'm a little over 35 weeks now. The doctors said that if my baby comes now he'll be fine. I'm measuring around 2 to 3 cm. I'll have a few contractions every once in a while. I know a little more time would be better for him but he is engaged and it is painful. I don't think i can go another 5 weeks or more. Any Advice????? My Doctor says hes a little over 6lbs. = |
| Answer: Can anyone let me know if they have their baby when the Dr says. When you are measuring different from what they say please let me know . Thank you = |
| Answer: Can anyone let me know if they have their baby is due when the Dr says. When you are measuring different from what they say please let me know . Thank you = |
| Answer: Trust your doctor! I am sure they know what they are talking about..You can always go to hospital for self satisfaction! = |
| Answer: im 37 weeks but measuring 40 and thats even after the baby has dropped. so i dont know that it has anything to do with it really. they just use it as a guidline to make sure that the baby is growing and the uterus is giving ample room to grow = |
| Answer: You can't go by what they measure, often it's wrong, but sometimes it's a small/big baby and sometimes it's an incorrect due date. You never know, so don't pay much attention to it. For me, it was a big baby though. = |
| Answer: is it true that the baby will stop moving around right before he/ she is ready to come out?and about the castrol oil thing. sence it is a laxative and you most likly will get the poops, what do you think would happen if you mixed it with a medicine that stops diarehha(sp)? im 38 wks and ready to have my first baby, im thinkin about considering the castrol oil, but i just dont want to deal with the side effects that come with it? do you think if maybe u dont take as much you'll be ok?hmmm please get back with me on that one. and another thing do you absolutly have to be dialated already in order for it to even work?
shorte10803@yahoo.com = |
| Answer: well last night i tried the caster oil, i took 3 tablespoons and drank orange juice. about 4 hours later i had contractions 5 minutes apart, it worked as it was supposed to except my doctor stopped labor since i am 35 weeks. he said 1 more week and he wont stop contactions, so i wasent sure about it working before yesterday, but today i am a beliver, and i will be doing it again in 1 week :) . by the way i only had minor diareahha about 2 an hour befor my contraction. good luck = |
| Answer: i tried castor oil twice and i didnt even get a single contraction either time and both times i took about 2oz...i did an enema the other day and it didnt work...i didnt even poop with the enema...ive been taking primrose pills and that help efface my cervix...but today im 39 weeks and i have the MOPS (miserable over pregnancy syndrome my doctor calls it) and im scheduled to start being induced at 7 pm tonight at the hospital so i will have my baby boy sometime tomorrow! so if your 39 weeks just tell your doc you have the mops and start crying like i did and they will most likely induce you...and most docs should know what mops is...good luck everyone! = |
| Answer: hi all. well ive been taking epo * evening primrose oil. on the advice of my dr. it has gla in it which your body makes prolastagin * sp?* with . since ive been talking it ive noticed ive been getting contractions . they arnt labour yet. just preperation ones. but its definately softening my cervix because from one week to the next i went from long and closed to short and 1cm. so i would suggest trying that. i was thinking about castor oil but i ended up getting the flu with HORRIBLE diareah anyways and it did nothign so i figure i coudlnt go through that agian. haha = |
| Answer: hey ladies!!! Well little Addison is almost 2 months now. Shes growing up so fast!!! But I hope all is good with your labors. I never thought I would ever say this but i kinda miss being pregnant. I didnt realize it then, but i loved my big baby belly. And i really miss sleeping!!!! but thanx for those who replied. I hope this works for you!!!! = |
| Answer: beth i have to ask you when u took the castor oil are you diolated any i heard if your not diolated, it wont work. lemme know please.
Thanks = |
| Answer: hi stacie, yes it dialated me to just a 1 but i only contracted for like 3 hours before my doc stopped them.this next friday i am going to do it again, and stay home for as long as i can so i dialate more and all that before i go to the hospital, even though the doc already said that he wont stop it an will finally allow me to go into labor.so good luck to you just remember that you really need to wait until you are at least 36 weeks orelse all your efforts will be for no reason, the hospital that i am going to deliever at said that they will stop labor if possiable unless medically nesessary until you are 36 weeks.thats just the rules.so good luck and i will let all know how things go friday with the castor oil and labor. :) = |
| Answer: When you took the castor oil, did you eat? before or after you took it? and how much? because when I took it only seemed to work after I ate. = |
| Answer: Doctor's opinion's in the US seem to vary (from what I keep reading on different posts). Doctor's opinions in the UK is a standard no, no. They firmly tell you over there that Castor Oil "may" be harmful. Just remember, anything you are taking, so is the baby. With that being said, I agree with one of the above posters. You have to weigh the risks verses benefits. I generally believe the baby comes when he is ready. However, I am only 23 weeks (with my first) and not suffering at the end yet, lol. So I may feel differently at the time. I just wanted to point out that Castor Oil "could" be dangerous. What percentage of risk it has, I've no idea. Just read up on it and do a little search and make yourself aware of the risks verses benefits before taking anything is all. Good luck all and grats on your baby girl Anna! = |
| Answer: in awser to your question,i ate as i usually do.i ate lunch and then i took the castor oil like an hour later then i had dinner as usual 2 an half hours later.so i cant really tell you if it work different on a empty stomach, i m sorry = |
| Answer: i am due today with my second and i did take castor oil with the first and it worked and i didnt get diarrhea. i tried castor oil with this one at 37 weeks and i just got the poops all night. it really wont work unless your ready im sure of it. Going to try it again tommorrow though cause im 11/2 cm dilated as of last tuesday. WISH ME LUCK! = |
| Answer: of corse i am just speaking for myself but to the comment about taking up smoking... i would never put my baby in danger.my daughter was 1 and half months early and was a huge baby perfectly healthy, this baby is the same as far as my doctor says and he says i wont carry to full term anyways since my body is so small.dont judge anyone unless you yourself has been in thier shoes.some bodys just cant handle baby to full term.castor oil is natural.what is not ok is mother and baby being over stressed when it is preventable.im sorry you feel the way you do but i dont want negative comments like this to scare other women who are reaching out for help. = |
| Answer: Beth-I was two weeks overdue with a 10lb baby. This time I have a medical problem causing intense pain, yet I wait it out. I was in those shoes, twice, more so than most posting here. If there is a problem the doctor will induce you. That's a fact. There's never a reason to attempt it yourself. If the doctor won't there's NO medical reason-need-for it. It's simply a want in that situation. Any risk-even small-for a want is selfish. = |
| Answer: Beth-I also don't know what you consider small, however I'm 5' 6" and 100lbs not pregnant. I'm not big. = |
| Answer: Telling someone to take up smoking to have their baby is just foolish, not only is it dangerous for your baby but for you and everyone around you. Taking castor oil, drinking tea, walking, having sex is all natural safe ways to try to induce labor. And I dont know how you can say you have been in their shoes twice, because I know you havent been in mine, intense pain is the least of my worries, try that plus morning sickness your entire pregnancy, finding out your have cervical cancer, an ulcer, a heart diease, borderline gestational diabetes, and then have your fiance leave you and tell you he wishes you would die, and did I mention severe depression? every woman has thier own reasons to want to induce, not everyone can just take pain and handle it wheater emotional or psychical. And I really think the last thing these women need is someone like you coming on here and bashing them for making their own decisions. And I dont know how anyone could say that "wanting your baby" is selfish, if a woman is overdue then that is that, OVER due, meaning there is no reason why the baby cant already be here. Please if you dont have something nice or imformative to add to these post then I think we would all just rather not have you post at all. = |
| Answer: False. They're only safe if baby is ready and the safety of some methods is still questionable. Some midwives claim castor oil is safe, but they're not doctors. A midwife is what caused me to be in a wheelchair. She's a very reputable, highly respected and internationally known one too. There's good cause for why I'm seeing a doctor this time. Just because you hit 37 weeks does not mean the baby is ready. The smoking comment was sarcasm. I have many problems I don't care to share with you.You wouldn't trade places I assure you. If you needed to be induced your doctor would. If he won't there's a reason for it. Playing God and doctor is foolish. = |
| Answer: Is it not apparent you're all asking total strangers about inducing yourselves? Completely disregarding your doctors! As far as "selfish" goes, you decide.
Selfish:
Main Entry: self·ish
Pronunciation: 'sel-fish
Function: adjective
1 : concerned excessively or exclusively with oneself : seeking or concentrating on one's own advantage, pleasure, or well-being without regard for others
2 : arising from concern with one's own welfare or advantage in disregard of others <a selfish act>
- self·ish·ly adverb
- self·ish·ness noun = |
| Answer: I'm also concerned about the "overdue" comment. How many of these woman are 42 weeks or greater? That is overdue. Due dates are an estimate, not a deadline . = |
| Answer: I am 38 weeks and misery... Is my best friend... I have a very high stress level being a single mom (with no help at all physically or emothionally) of a two yr old little boy who loves to constantly push mommys buttons, financial problems, sleep insomnia... I get about a total (and this is no exageration) of about 3- 4 hours of sleep or less each night for past few weeks! I went to kings island the other day and walked all over the park... came home felt tired is about it... today I told my childs father to come over so we could have sex....we did but nothing yet... it only happened 3 hours ago... I am feeling the baby move but no where near as much as a week ago... and I am worried that if I carry to full term I could have difficulties since I had to have an emergency c section with my first due to fetal distress... that was after 3 hours with my legs in the air pushing! I will probably try the EPO, walking more, running up and down my steps at home to make baby drop even faster, and since my cervix is already thinning I may try some more sex...;) ! I am still concerned howeverr with the safety of castor oil... though I dont think labor has any thing to do with the oil, I think it has to do with the individual and whether their cervix is ripe enough. I think if your baby is almost ready it can speed things along but I think it is sort of crazy to go trying it at 34 and 35 weeks that is just not a smart thing to do I dont believe... but hey to each their own! I am due in two weeks.... wish you all luck... wish me luck as well! = |
| Answer: just so you all know what castoe oil does is stimulate your body to expell anthing it has, meing bowel and uterus, that is why it does work = |
| Answer: do you think 37 weeks and 3 days is a goo time to try castor oil = |
| Answer: what are some other ways to bring on my labor i'm 37 weeks = |
| Answer: I can't answer for anyone else but I am hoping to move this baby along before my husband returns to Bahgdad. I am 38 weeks and not willing to try anything questionable but because of being with a doctor instead of a midwife(army ins won't cover MW) I am getting no help with helping myself along. I am due 10-8 and am 2-3 cent and 80% effaced. I don't think I could do the castor oil but only because I still throw up when I brush my teeth. Sex is not working for us since my honey was gone for 7 months and we have had alot to make up for. lol I guess that's not going to work for us. Any other suggestions would be helpful but if all you have is criticism, keep that to yourself. I don't need a lecture just helpful advice from other women who have had a similar experience. Thank you to everyone. = |
| Answer: good job anna , im with you :) = |

| Answer: I was just wondering if mineral oil did the same thing as castor oil? I'm 38 weeks and have been 2cm for the last 3 weeks. This is my third and both of my others were 2 weeks late, i was hoping to try to speed this one up a bit. Any suggestions? = |
| Answer: Hi its me again. I'm now 40 weeks and counting. I'm only 2cm and still in a lot of pain. Has any of you ladies had cramps in your iner thighs??? If you have not trust me you don't wont them. I have some contractions but there not enough to have my baby. I really wont this to be over with. Doctors wont induse until next Tuesday. Do you think i should try the oil????? Please someone write back..... = |
| Answer: Castor oil will work if your cervix is soft so maybe next time you go to your doc you can ask her how soft and how dilated you are then take it from there i think everyone has there own opinion on castor oil ive heard of meconium but is pretty rare and the worst it can do to your body is make you poop all night. i think its fine personnally. Id say go for it if babies ready he/she will come if not you clean your system out

| Answer: Hi, Im 37 wks and 5 days with my first, I have gestational diabetes and i am so ready to get bub out. I have no idea if im dilated at all, my doc is useless and hasnt check or evan given me a size estimate evan tho I've asked him before. Im 18 yrs old and terrified of having a huge baby! What should i do? = |
| Answer: Your doc should tell you thats strange when he does the internal exam next time make a point of asking. How much weight have you gained? Is you uterus measuring big it should be 37 cm maybe 38 that will give you some idea of how big your baby is. = |
| Answer: Thankyou sheri. My doc hasn't done any internal exams on me yet through the whole pregnancy, and whats more worrying is I've never had a pap smear and he knows this. I would of thought that it was important? and i dont understand, how is the uterus measured and is my doc meant to do that or can I? Also I have put on about 14 kgs at my last check up. = |
